If you got good vibes, all you need is good management by a season professional.
I can hook you up with my elder cousin who has as managed the likes of Davido and wizkid.
He is currently Tiwa Savage tour manager, quote me or send me a Dm if you are interested.

If you think you can hit like WizKid or Davido, then stay....Otherwise travel out. Even if it is to Ghana!

People seems to think that once you get out of the country to a place like USA all your problems go away.....LMAO......My friend come see as people dey suffer over here. You came here with a visiting visa and get stuck, 2 to 3 years later you still dey leech off of family members or friends if you have any. Worse, you are homeless and often sleep wherever you can lay your head. 3 years have gone by and the only place that can hire you is one where you must work in a hot factory with heavy labor, you are yet to find a whitee or black American that can file for you so you can become legal, 5 years have gone by and you STILL DON'T HAVE PAPERS but you are able to survive by being a worker at a church. You're able to survive by working menial jobs under the table, 7 years in America and you don't even know when you're ever going to get papers or start a family. Out of greediness, you gave akata belle, now she files for you.....TO BE CONTINUED!
This your “TO BE CONTINUED “ no be small thing.
Next is child support on top factory work. Pray that you don’t miss a payment, then you would be arrested and tagged criminal due to your background history.
Final story, no employer would come anyway near you with a 100 yard pole. No landlord would want you in their house.
At the end, no money, no house, no food. The child you had it taken away because you cannot care for him/her. That is how generational poverty is passed down.

You don’t get. It is impossible to make that music or money without green card or citizenship, period. No two ways, no work around. He cannot even own any business let alone improve it without sorting out his immigration status first.
Let me ask, how is going to pay for US IT certification with #300k earnings from Nigeria? Even if succeeds in going abroad as student, how is going to pay international students fee to continue with his program?
Okay I do see where you're coming from. I don't see any sense in him going through all those hassles for something as unpredictable as a musical profession. I'm just wondering who the hell would go abroad without a well constructed plan? If that's the position he's coming from then it clearly makes no sense. I'd admit to not know much about their "work laws" concerning music but what the hell is a work permit for if one can't earn money as a result of it? How do footballers earn that much money from foreign clubs? are you telling me they've all got green cards?... I've got a friend who recently got a work permit in the UK and his biggest stumbling block during the process was from the people in charge of processing his papers over here. You know we do things like mad people. But even before that he was issued a "temporary permit" with which he was able to work for stipulated hours, which of course meant there was a limit to what he could earn. But he beat that by taking jobs which only paid in cash, as then his earnings couldn't be "monitored". I don't think it's that different from the U.S, but who knows?

Hello women and gentlemen, good day to you all,

I want to ask about something that has bothered me since so I need to bring it out the largest Forum in Africa.

Am in my early 20s but not up to 25 years of age now, I run a company here in Nigeria, I also have assets, trademarks and the like...
I make more than 300k profits monthly from the company..

I have talent in singing music, I have a very good voice, I can sing very well.

I need advice

What is the best way for me..

Should I just stay in Lagos Nigeria to sing and make money along side with my business or I should travel out to USA to further IT skills and expand my business

I need advice on this

Wow

I understand your dilemma

I was in your situation a year ago and here is my advice

Don't travel to the US, if you are really serious about your music career

Traveling to the US will detract you from your music career

Immediately you get to the US, you will be preoccupied with making ends meet and learning the Western way of life

Here in Nigeria, you can start your music business while expanding your business and using part of the profit to fund your music career

Please don't give up on your talent

Most of the people on this platform dishing out advice that you should go to the US have not left Nigeria

Neither do they know what it means to create sustainable wealth

You are still young. And you have nothing to lose giving your career a try in Nigeria

It's better to fail taking risks than not taking risks at all

Remember, the only thing standing in your way to success is FEAR.

Overcome it and you will move mountains

Anything you do that gives you money is regarded as work. You could be a doctor, musician, janitor, a footballer or a business man. If you earn any money, you have to pay income tax. Work permit is not an actual thing in the sense that it’s another way of saying you legally permitted to work on the bases of your immigration status. There are two status, it’s either you are a green card holder or a citizen. However there is a small group with temporary work permit on a case by case consideration like agricultural seasonal workers or those with pending immigration case. Op here doesn’t fit into any of these categories, and would remain illegal which is not a good position to be.
On working without permit;
How much do you think minimum wage is? About $7.5 per hour right? If this is what someone with legal status is entitled, how much do you think an illegal would be offered?
Do you think that money is enough for food and transportation let alone savings. Would you encourage someone who makes #300k in Nigeria to put himself in position?

wait until Wizkid stops releasing new hit songs, then u will know if he is truly worth $23million or not, just wait.

Go and ask 2face Idibia how rich he is now.

Take it or leave it, most entertainment celebrities are not as financially buoyant as you guys rate them, that is why as soon their entertainment career starts to drop, they start struggling to meet their previous lifestyle.

That was how many Nigerians saw Frank Edoho as one of the richest men in Nigeria then just because he was changing suits and appearing on TV like Ebuka now, but today, Frank struggles to change his car. What about Banky W they said was worth million million $$ some years back, but he was struggling to buy cars to register on Uber as business.

Stop allowing all these celebrities and their audio money to be deceiving you, they are not worth what you read.

Jaruma promised to gift Tacha 50million, Peter of Psquare promised same and their gullible Nigerian fans believed them like zombie, its well

You dey mind the gullible youth?.. They don't know music money goes as it comes. They have to pay for flights, hotels, record label associates, payback sponsors, expensive house rents, rent/buy some luxurious items to maintain a rich classy look, and other necessities of life until they don't reign no more...Only very few artistes with very good management secure their futures by investing some of these monies well before there sun cease to shine no more. They aren't as rich as they make ppl blve, that's why it's called showbiz.

What if you go to the US, learn your IT skill, while learning, make your songs, post everywhere, your IT skill may help your music.

What kind of work permit would a student have that would enable him do music on professional level? The best case scenario is something that allows a few hour of work , mostly on campus.
Who is his target market? Nigerians abroad, Nigerians at home or Americans?

Let me chip in something.. I’m in Europe and I am a musician too with student status. Why not think about it this way... you can release your songs on streaming platforms and pay for your promotions from normal Naija cards naa.. just that when choosing audience you go pit the people wey you Dey target

Bros if you make 300k naira it best you save that money so that once you come to yankee you have something to work with. America is not a country you don't want to be in if you don't have money or family. America is country where you cant fall behind on your bills such rent water electricty transportation and also taxes dedicated if you live in a certain state will hurt you credit score making it hard for you to buy anything until that is paid off. Here in the Bay Area california rent is almost 3,000 dollars for three bedroom. If I were you I first apply for jobs wait for the visa and by then you have money save dup to move here. Also just know you be competing with the majority people of latinos white and asians for the scraps and pieces that they call jobs. Once that Naira exchange rate come to America you will get absolutely nothing because this yankee they tax the middle income and poor to enrich the elite

300k naira exchange to usa currency is nothing it will be about 828 dollars which will be useless after American taxes. It best he come to usa with a job lined up then to think are useless currency will help him survive in yankee

What stops you from pursuing a musical career in US if that's where your heart truly lies?

From all you listed, US might be better off. However, what is the potential of your company right now? If after running cost and expenses, you make 300k, then the growth potential of that business ought be explored.
