THE EVENT

I used to suffer migraine back then. On these special day that the devil decided to fall my hand i had an attack (migraine) while class was going on without any aura/warning sign.. I stormed out of class in severe pain.. Got home took my drugs lay down enduring the pain.. 2hours later i was still in serious pain i heard a single knock on my wooden door! First person i saw was one of my realest gees little did i know he came with the whole class behind him(every one obviously took the opportunity to know where i stay) . OMOH!! I scanned my batcha with the smallest part of my head that was not feeling the migraine.. I saw my self lying on my small camp bed, i saw my small stove in one corner of my room, i saw my 2 small small pots very close to my stove, LOL..first thing i could mutter was 'kaycee u for kuku kii me' hahahahahahaha (till 2moro kaycee still d take am laf me) omoh in a quick flash all my life scrolled pass my face i looked up i saw more than 20 different faces looking down at me lying down on my very small mattress that was barely containing me. worst of all was the face of the one girl i really liked.. Menn it was game up for me how do i ever get my street cred back? It took me one whole week before i could resume proper classes, it also took me more than a session to regain alilbit of my street cred.. Hahahahahahaha.. As embarrassed as i felt lying down like some helpless puppy on my camp size bed i learnt a valuable life lesson... Moving forward am still starching my clothes oo but i have moved out of my batcha since 9yrs ago lol.

So mine was really embarrassing.. If you school in the South, you'll relate. I went for Night class.. we call it (TDB). To read all night. I was sitting in front of the class and i decided to take a quick nap, then wake up later to read. As i fell asleep, i Had a terrible dream of being pursued. I got up from the dream and started running, Na so everybody for hall follow me dey run oo... When i came to my senses, shame no let me go back the hall. Everyone else had ran to other halls. It was the following morning i went back for my books... The fear of night class.. LoL

Was in my first year , I was very young , naive and looking small at the same time , and due to some case of misidentity and also to show freshmen how not listening to them might be , some aiye cult members like 10 in number made me do frog Jump including several slaps and kicks accompanied with stupendous beating for what I knew nothing of in front of hundreds of students , not even the school security could stop them and to make things worse , my two friends when approached denied ever knowing me , I saw my world falling in front of me , the jovial me became a loner and was thinking of suicide


That incident almost ruined me , as the thought of revenge won’t leave my head , joining a rival cult to me was the best solution


But I thank God I didn’t make a wrong decision , The same event inspired me to graduate as an outstanding student in my department

It was the day tuition fee was increased and I got angry and decided to challenge the school authority....the whole student backed me up but I never knew it was fake support. All of them graduated and my own result was seized for speaking out against what I perceived as injustice. ...That result was seized for good one year and none of the students called to ask how I am doing ....one day I met one of the students and he was laughing at my condition ....he said , old boy...you go done dey work for chevron by now.....I was embarrass by that statement cos I expect those with result to 've gotten a job not me without result. My joy came the very day I was called to come pick up my result....my HOD sat ,me down and told me a story I cannot forget in a hurry....if you want the story mention me and I will give u the story

Was coming back from lectures when I saw a mad woman who lived in a pile of rubbish about half a kilometer away from the school fence. Out of compassion, I bought egg roll and swan water for her because she looked so hungry. She hurriedly ate everything with so much excitement and before I knew what wad going on she started following me everywhere...for about half an hour. Didn't know how to tell her to stop following me. Omo, see as people dey laugh me and my juvenile friends started calling her my wife. Lol. my most embarrassing moments on campus happened this afternoon in one of the varsities in the Mid-West.
So today was final year cultural day where all final year brethren were to represent their culture and tribe by wearing their cultural attire, so while walking with my colleague we came across this gorgeous girl with an Efik (Calabar) attire and my colleague cajoled me to walk up to her and communicate with her since she's from my tribe as I'm a Calabar guy, so I obliged and walked up to her and initiated the following convo with her

Calabar babe : idiokke eyeneka mmi (I'm fine my brother)

as I was about to press further to Interact with her so I could get her digits, all of a sudden a guy (cultist) from no where with reddish eye balls due to excess intoxication from Indian hemp walked up to me and gave me a resounding slap for daring to "chyke her girlfriend"
mehn I became the cynosure of all eyes as my course mates and passersby gathered to see how the guy dragged me down to an open place and started raining me blows (he was high on weed though) and used my cheeks to engage on slapping practice.
I was tired, weak and hungry after having a series of classes and since I realized I couldn't withstand this muscular guy, i tried to explain to him that the girl was my tribe girl but the guy couldn't listen and started raining me heavy blows till my eye got swollen and when my colleague came to my aid he was blocked by another fellow cultist and they shew him a sheathed dagger.
so this guy kicked me and pushed me into the mud till the white shirt I wore became dirty And behold my long time crushed passed around there and saw as I was being dealt with by just one guy,
oh gosh I was so ashamed of myself and I went back home with such a huge catastrophic disgrace meanwhile the calabar babe wasn't even concerned with what was going on.
later this evening my crush called and asked what happened and later mocked me for allowing a single guy to beat me up effortlessly.

Throwback Thursday: Your Most Embarrassing Moment On Campus

At one time or the other, we all had one embarrassing moment on campus that one would remember and just laugh...especially, after many years have gone by.

Mine:

In my 2nd year in school, I was chilling at Nwanyi Nempi pepper soup joint after a long boring lecture from a lecturer who took sadism as a hobby. I had a cold HARP in my front (mortuary standard). I say make I take am dey hold conscience because the stress too much for department. Not long, I saw this tall pretty light-skin girl passing. I was instantly attracted to her but I didn't follow her. I grew up with the mentality of not stopping a girl on the road; especially, when you are not coming from an opposite direction. I quickly did a research on her by asking someone at the joint as if I was working as an investigative journalist for Channels TV!!! I was able to get her name, level and department and the info that she's an 'aje-butter' from a known family in Onitsha. From that minute, I started plotting my 'graph'.

The next day, I planned I would approach her. After my first lecture, I went straight to her department (Computer Science) to accomplish my mission. Na so I spread like virus full everywhere...well polished shoes, starched and well pressed shirt, new haircut...come dey form James Bond. After hanging around for some time without seeing her, I decided it was an unsuccessful trip.

That same day, while discussing with friends at photo stands (where school photographers stayed), I saw her approaching. I pinched myself secretly and told myself that it is 'Now or Never'. Based on say I be Warri boy, I nor fit carry last. Right there, as crowded as the place was, I approached her and that was the killing mistake I made. This was what happened:

Me: Hi, Onyinyechi, how are you doing?

Babe: How did you know my name?

Me: They say when you're interested in someone, you would also be interested in things that pertain to them.

Babe: Really? You've not answered my question and moreover, I don't know you.

Me: OK, I got to know your name from a friend in your department. I'm interested in you...

Babe: (Speaking loudly and angrily to the hearing of every student present) You should have something better doing! Pls don't ever stop me again! Now take some steps back and behave as if this conversation never took place!!!

Ogbeni, na so I pose like vulture wey rain beat...right there wey I stand, malaria, typhoid and diarrhoea hold me at once. I come stand like image wey deh carve for shrine One side of my belle come dey do me like say I wan weewee, the other side come dey do me like say I wan poopoo. To look back na problem. Crowd of guys and babes dey observe me like cinema. Even my guys sef dey help me dey shame! I was receiving consoling pats on the back as if say my palee kpai! Dem say when house fall, goat go climb the roof. Na the courage say at least Warri boy try to try I take waka pass school gate that day. I nor gree show face for photo stands through out that semester.

It's been 18 years now but each time I remember this event, I just laugh it off as my most embarrassing moment on campus.
