Bullion Vans: APC Reacts To Deji Adeyanju's Petition Against Tinubu by ijustdey(op): 9:59pm On Oct 27, 2019
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the petition submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

A group under the aegis of concerned Nigerians had submitted the petition to the EFCC asking it to probe the bullion vans sighted in the residence of the APC leader on the eve of the 2019 elections.

The petition dated October 25 was signed by activist, Com. Deji Adeyanju on behalf of concerned Nigerians and two other activists – Ariyo Dare Atoye and Adebayo Raphael.

It would be recalled that a picture of two bullion vans entering Tinubu’s residence on the eve of the election had gone viral even as Tinubu claimed the money belonged to him.
Some Nigerians had taken on the EFCC for not probing the bullion vans despite the outcry trailing the movement of huge cash.

But the acting Chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Magu, had said the EFCC would probe Tinubu if it received petition to that effect.
It was on this basis that Adeyanju and his colleagues submitted the petition to the commission in response to the challenge by the Chairman.

Daily Trust learnt that the development has caused panic in the camp of the APC leader with his followers and supporters wondering if the EFCC would go after their leader.

However the APC spokesperson in Lagos, Hon. Abiodun Salami in a chat with our correspondent dismissed the petition, challenging them to come up with proof that Asiwaju had stolen any money.

He said, “Let them come up with the proof. The man is a private citizen and he has been out of government for the past 12 years. If he has decided to spend his money on his party, how is that a problem? Let them come up with a proof that somebody’s money is missing.”

Adeyanju had while submitting the petition said, Speaking shortly after submitting the petition said, “I have decided to take up your challenge after you called for a petition through your social media account on Twitter.”

Excellent

Any rich man can tell the bank to deliver his own money to his house.

Let Deji prove that the money in the bullion van belongs to someone else not Tinubu

And if its wrong to spend your personal money to help your party to mobilize your party

Nigeria is a country where mediocrity is the order of the day.

So nothing is wrong with delivery of money in bullion vans on election eve? Would you have reacted this way if two bullion vans were seen entering Atikus or Secondus house on election eve?
You might think you are supporting Tinubu but the truth is you are crushing the future of your un/born kids

Nothing in the history of this country has/can ever beat the foolishness of these PDP urchins. I guess the serial loss of elections now leads to the loss of cognitive ability and results in constitution of nuisance.

What they should be doing now is to go back to the drawing board and devise a process of offering constructive opposition, but no, they'd rather be chasing shadows; investigating the worth of Buhari's shoes, observing how long Aisha has been in Burundi, showing us images of Atiku in a swimming pool....

Point to the law flouted. Is there a law that states which day of the year you can request your own money?

If its Secondus money why shouldnt he have it

Atiku is a presidential candidate, Secondus is a party chairman, what elective post does Tinubu hold or was contesting for in March 2019

Cashless policy? Go to Alaba market or Yaba market without cash and say we are operating a cashless policy

When you enter Danfo bus tell the conductor about cashless

Atiku bought PDP’s presidential ticket with millions of dollars. When will Deji and other wailers petition EFCC to arrest and prosecute him?

See them... protecting thieves as if their lives depend on it, same person they want to project as president.

They ask you "is anyone's money missing", "he is not holding any office"... when you pull the FOI act on Lagos, they toss and turn while frustrating it with everything they have got.

You have to first prove that it was money that was in the van. It's not Tinubu that will prove that but the petitioners. They have to present their proof that it was actually money that was in the van. That's a tough one.

Nigeria is like a comedy show. Everything is a joke in this country. An obvious crime will be swept under the carpet and then they'll be looking for scapegoats amongst the youths. It is because of these corrupt leaders that youth are going into crime, because they are also committing crimes. God bless Nigeria sha.
