Truth is I don’t like Tinubu but the truth is that he is very powerful and influential but that his influence not minding he will not be a good President and we all know that. He will be a lord unto himself and will do what he likes anytime, if the Yorubas must produce the President I will prefer Prof Yemi Osibanjo. Having said that, For the sake of equity I will prefer the Power to come to the East.

Tinubu is very smart and he knows he would destroy his political career if he dares contest for President. He'd rather remain a kingmaker and determine who becomes the next President. His demystification would ring the death knell on his reign, even as the Jagaban of Lagos politics!

As for El-Rufai, the Nigerian power-brokers and northern oligarchy would not support his candidacy, because he talks too much. This man single-handedly buried the political careers of Ibrahim Mantu and Jonathan Zwingina, and he has been rising since...by putting others down.

Both candidates would be hard to sell. The power brokers typically settle for someone malleable without much controversy. The next President may come from the rank of governors or Buhari's ministers.

I think Fashola or Osinbajo may be asked to run.

Personally, I believe all states in Nigeria have the capacity to finance their own activities. There are so many untapped resources and sources of wealth in this country yet to be exploited and unless states are independent of the federal government those resources will remain unexploited
