I've noticed injections work pretty faster for me than drugs, but I hear some saying drugs are best for use. I remember when I was down with typhoid and was taken to the hospital, the doctor recommended some drugs, and I told him injections works well for me but he declined, after some weeks no major improvement he then recommend injection, and that very day I was very much relieved and that's all. to the medical personnel, is there any sought of side effects taking injections?

Injections are more effective than drugs(tablet) in most cases ( Certain conditions require taking the drug in solid form though because if it is administered in liquid form it will break down and lose some of its properties required for the treatment of the ailment) . If some injections are given as drugs they will be destroyed by the enzymes present in the stomach like (but not limited) to pepsin. Just let your doctor decide.

Injection works faster and drug have a lasting healing power. And I think doctors still recommend drugs after giving injection.

For me, I loathe the piercing pain of injection and I can say I have only taken injection one or two times of my adulthood.

Drugs come in myriads of preparations and the injectables are classed as parenteral ( besides the mouth) and given equally through several route e. g. intramuscular, intravenous, subconjunctival, intradermal, Intrathecal, intraosseous, etc. Other preparations includes the Enteral, which comes prepared as Tablets, syrups, suspensions, etc.
While the injectables have swifter onset of action because they are delivered as close as possible to the circulation or directly into it, their duration of action otherwise referred to as half-life is shorter hence requiring frequent dosing.
The Enteral route of drug administration though unpalatable is best because absorption is slow, the degradation action of the liver on the drug is less ( first-pass effect) and serum concentration of the drug is sustained over it half-life.
However, their are some factors that may warrant your doctor preferring one route over the other e.g. vomiting, malabsorption, prostration, unconciousness, urgency of resuscitation, etc.

Injections work faster because they directly enter the blood stream and perform the same thing, however, drygs have to go through ingestion and digestion before they begin to take effect

Personal preference may come into play, needles terrify some people, so, injections aren't their thing.

In my childhood i prefer injection, in fact my parent will tell me to go hospital by myself to take injection , informing the Doctor b4 i will arrive at the hospital.
After to shots, I'll walk out with smile, people at the reception will be wondering why I'm smiling
