Thank you so much... yea I'll put that into consideration.. the sponsor was always there. I just didn't have the opportunity to let the VO know as he was in such a hurry. And I actually didn't have bank statements just a sponsorship letter

Pefuele:

Oh ! Okay. U need to anticipate questions. If you are going this spring and you have changed sponsors in less than one or two months it can mean desperation. It can be a red flag.
If you were asked what has changed since your last Interview...be careful! Just be well prepared.
Also know the details of the organization.I guess the next VO will ask more questions on sponsor so be more prepared on it. Infact, know the number of employees in the company, what they do,their financial outlay....

Good day everyone,

I am Rauf, by name. I studied Economics, from OAU and finished with a CGPA of 3.3/5 ( 3.09/4, according to the free evaluation by WES). I am planning to apply for Msc Economics or Finance or Business Analytics by Fall of next year

I need help ( and recommendations) from you bosses in the house as to the schools I can send applications to (and be guaranteed of full funding).

I have also started doing my personal research whilst also reading for the GRE but I still feel valuable inputs and insights of experienced mummies and daddies here will go a very long way.

Please do not read my story and pass. I need help. God bless

Oops! you need to sort out all those in your next interview. Try to let the VO know next time you are asked about who is sponsoring you.

1. Today is Nov 3rd. According to your post, you haven't done the paid evaluation of transcript yet, neither have you written GRE. The chances of you meeting up with spring next year is close to zero and most schools resume for spring in January.

2. There are over 5,000 acrredited universities in the USA.
no one will start listing schools for you. On that same phone of yours, hit Google and search for schools offering your desired course, go through their admission requirements and scholarship requirements to see if your credentials meet up.

3. Like what I tell every applicant. It's good to hope for full funding but at the same time, have in mind that most schools will only give you a partial fund that will cover tuitions only while you sort your living expense on your own. What I mean is that you may not get 100% full ride like people call it. Hence, you should be open to partial funding incase your dream of full funding isn't obtainable.

Best of luck

You shouldn't have issue. As long as the statement is Legit. If its a company account, you may include the official bank letter introducing him as signatory.

Yes, you may be requested to submit your personal account statement

Personally, I was encouraged to always come back here and answer any question I'm knowledgeable of after seeing what my Indian and Philippine school mates are doing to their fellow country men.

Guys, these people literally practice this kind of igbo apprenticeship system where one bigbrother in Lagos will bring in 2 boys from village and the two boys will Inturn bring two boys each and it continues that way like ponzi multilevel. Everywhere I go on campus, before I see one African, I will see three Indians. Its just an indication that they do help, inform and educate one another.

The new I-20 has some information which differs from the earlier one i got. Can i still use same DS-160 for the interview or fill a new DS-160??

My interview is this week.

If I get you very well, do you mean evaluating your High school or university transcript for the purpose of studying abroad?

True. But considering that I'm going for the spring session which starts in january.. time is of essence. I'm looking at calling the school to see if I can make a deposit or something

Nope,dn't make a deposit. You can still get date.

It is not late spring yet. However, let the school know you were denied the last time you went.Ask them for help before you go a second time.

Thanks.

The name of the contact person in the school in the first and second 1-20 has changed. Also my intended date of arrival on the DS-160 is August 2019 instead of Jan 2020 ( i deferred my admission from fall 2019 to spring 2020).

I also noticed that the name of the course have been changed to Quantitative Economics instead of just Economics i used when filling the DS-160.

I hope all these wont be an issue.

For Courier Service, most especially DHL, it takes not more than 1week
It's not possible to get an appointment Date for that Day now because the last person I saw that scheduled a date like about 2 weeks ago got the available date on 12th of November. Unless you want to request for an emergency appointment, but in this case you will have to explain why you're requesting for the Emergency. It can be approved or Denied.
If you have anyone in the Us, you can contact him to assist you with the SEVIS fee, because it's most times difficult here in Nigeria. Or you can Pm @Walspring to assist you with that

You will have to Contact the school to send you a new i-20. Most especially Concerning the Arrival Date. Because the V O might think you're making use of I-20 for already begun Fall Semester. And also even if the Vo grants you a Visa, you will not be allowed to At the Point of Entry.
Then Secondly, Quantitative Economics can be a Specialization in Economics, But be prepared to explain to the VO while you'll be specializing in that. Or otherwise you can Contact the School about that

I intend going to the interview with the two I-20 and explain to them there. The timing of preparing and sending a new I-20 may not be feasible considering my interview date.
