Even if they have court order they shouldn't treat them like animals they can ask them to pay or find a way to settle instead of using thugs and police to threaten citizens we are in a messed up country |

Mutemenot:Lies, it can never happen in the South-South and South-East regions, a governor 'compensating' his thugs with the sweat of the common man. These things can only happen in Lagos. I don't even think it can happen in Kwara 7 Likes 1 Share |

post=83729735: Thugs banned in a state controlled by Tinubu? You sincerely said this or just being fake and hypocritical as usual? Who did he use to silence Ambode and his supporters during last APC primaries? Who did he use to scare off voters and disenfranchise people from voting in the opposition strong areas in last guber election? Who brought Oluomo to osun election last year? Tinubu uses and operates with thugs and that's why thuggery can never stop in Lagos as long as Tinubu controls Lagos. Thugs make him still control that state, without thugs, the could have lost his grip on that state. 7 Likes |

Which families did your dad and others buy the land from, why not engage the services of a reputable lawyer and start a legal process with them, at least it's a starting point. I am totally disappointed with the state of things in this country. Hadekolarh: 4 Likes 1 Share |

A person that grab people's land is a murderer. Where were they when they were selling the lands to these people. They collected agency fees, commission, various kinds of omonile money from the developers, builders, artisans, carpenters during the course of building. After the builder have completed, they now proceed to take them to court, that they are the original owners and because we are in a lawless country where there is disregard for the law of contract and where the judiciary is always tampered with, the court will rule in their favour. 4 Likes 1 Share |

If ownership was given, the question was that against who? Was the defendant duly served with the court processes? If duly served, was there an order for execution of judgement? If yes, were the Omonile licensed to execute the judgment? Go on appeal or sue the parties for trespasses. You can make a petition to the Commissioner. Thanks. 1 Like |

Andhominem:You're so naive and myopic. And you think if everyone begins to do this, Yoruba will not also be affected? Don't Yoruba have properties in SE and SS? What happens when they are rejected? My uncle, a Yoruba from, gbongan, has his family and house in Bayelsa, has lived all his life there. Intact his children can barely speak Yoruba. Stop being childish, there is nothing to cheer in this ugly development. Besides, both Yoruba and even non-yoruba are affected in that area. Stop putting religious or tribal colouration into an issue which affects everyone without even considering your religious or tribal backgrounds. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Unfortunately, you will have to reach an agreement with the rightful owners. Some people just sell other people's land in Lagos and after years of legal battle, if the rightful owner wins it becomes a problem for those that bought it. |
