Someone please help answer this. Do priority visas take this long? It’s 12 working days already since I received the mail alerting me that decision has been made.
@justwise

The delay thing is becoming common now, have you visited the visa centre to know if its there?

Good evening house, Thanks for the Great help you are rendering through this platform, I have personally gained a lot on this platform, Thank you so much @ Justwise and others. God bless you all. Please I helped my 24 year old nephew package his U.k visa application with all the necessary documents as discussed on this platform, but to my surprise his application was refused and what baffles me most is the reason for refusal. My nephew is a self employed, he sells school uniforms and has a good customer base and a very good bank statement, he submitted his bank statement with a closing balance of 1.2m and he was to spend 550k since my sister invited him for two weeks. The reason for refusal is that his company is not registered, and that he didn't submit a company bank statement but a personal savings account statement. We backed up all the monies in the account with invoices of the transactions. My nephew has gone to register his company now and open a company bank account, My question is when can he re-apply? Please house we need and urgent response. Thank you so much

Let him run that account for at least for 6months before making another application. Those refusals reasons are correct, using company's account for non-business trip is not a good idea

@ Justwise, Thank you so much for your prompt response. I will advice he run the account for 6 months then re-apply. He used a personal account and not a company account.

He needs to present both but the money for the trip will come from his personal while the company's account will be the source

Hello house, please I’m in a dark place right at this moment, I want to reunite with my partner in the UK, we’re legally married, she visits twice yearly and spends months, is the traditional marriage a must? Because we’ve only done introduction and don’t intend on doing the traditional marriage at all , will this affect my application in any way?

1. Any court marriage?

2. What type of visa are you planning to apply for?

Then you need to apply for spouse visa if she is a British citizen or permanent resident holder

@ Justwise, Thank you so much for your pleasant way of responding to all that need informations. God bless you bro, he would run the accounts for 6 months and apply around April next year by God's grace. I appreciate.

That is ok, let him move his profit to his personal account monthly and leave main capital for the business in his business account and keep evidence of purchases and sales receipts.

Thanks for your kind words.

Do you go for biometric at TLS?

How do you receive your passport back?

No, I haven’t gone to VAC, however, I had visited the Embassy, not much was done. I will go to VAC then, but would Ibe allowed into the VAC Since I have not received a collection mail?

I have tried to track it but the status remains same. Today is the 8th working day since I received the mail for “decision made”. And a total of 12 working days from the day of biometrics.

I have gone to Embassy in VI, sat there and only left after I was tired. Would going to TLS help? I submitted at the Ikeja Centre.

Bro we are in same boat, I pray it comes out soon

I haven't picked the passport up yet, if it happens that the agent picks the passport up for me, how do I confirm the visa on the passport is real ?

how can one verify if a visa is real or fake I mean?

can an agent even pick the passport up, or it has to be the applicant himself?

Firstly, Did you go to the VAC center in Ikeja, Victoria Island or Abuja to submit your biometrics? Nobody can submit biometrics, that is fingerprint and official passport picture fo you.

Greetings to you all, please i need urgent /sincere advice from gurus in the house. My sister in-laws will like to travel on a tourist visa with her baby of abt 6 month, the trip is to be sponsored by her husband, (her husband reside in the US, a citizen but visit Nigeria not often -part of reason she wants to go for holiday to catch some fun). Her husband sister ( lives in the UK for almost 30 yrs now, a citizen i supposed ) ,she is to send an invitation letter for the trip. My sister in-laws who believe she will be lonely during the holiday, has now decided to take my wife (also with a year old baby) along to juice up the holidays. Here are the challenges. (1). The woman they are to visit doesn't know how to write an invitation letter, what details to include, so she asked me how to go about the write up.. Kindly help analyze what to include in the letter, also does she need to DHL it or just write and scanned via email?

(2) my wife was once denied a UK visa before, some 11 yrs ago, we filled it then that we were to go on a honey moon, BUT under a name different from what i use legitimately now , my wife only used just my fake surname then and thumbs printed on that single name

My co brother-in-law is the one to sponsor the trip, (account statement well capable) but i guess i might need to add my own acc statement (also well capable), house documents to back up my wife trip, I've got three properties docs i can add (i hope they accept Lagos land use docs? Surveys available but no cfo)

Questions begging answers are:, should i add my own documents to support my wife trip ( bearing in mind that she will be using my real surname now and she already used the fake surname 11 yrs ago).

Or should i just let my co brother-in-law documents do the magic? The bank statement to be used from my co brother-in-law side is in her wife name ( unfortunately my wife can't add her own bank statement because no tangible funds in there)

(3). Regarding the plane ticket, do we need to book and pay for it for real or how?

(4). Do we need to file the two applications together or separately?

(5). How much is a uk tourist visa fee?

(6). The two infants, do they need to get their own passports or visa will be printed on mother passports?

Also, i was thinking to push my sister in-laws application in first so my wife bad record won't jeopardize her chance, thereafter, i will push my wife application in with the same invitation letter writing by the woman .what do you think gurus in the house, awaiting your sincere advice.

You as the husband should sponsor your wife or she should sponsor herself to boost her chances

Details in the invitation letter should include duration of travel, purpose, full name and passport number of the people being invited including the children, she should state that she will be providing accommodation and feeding during their stay. She should state the relationship between them.

The letter should written, signed and she can scan and send through email. She should also provide house documents, account statement, council tax bill etc. Pictures with her brother can also be used as evidence.

You will have to submit separately and also get Intl passports for the children, fill forms and pay for them too

Your wife needs to come clean about the past application and also use genuine information now.

You don't need to book plane tickets before your visa

Good morning everybody. Please I want to ask a question on behalf of my sister. She works and earns 200k after all deductions and want to visit the UK though early next year. She is 36 and single, she lives in her own house (3-bedroom bungalow). She has a friend who has travelled to the UK about 9 years ago and her friend has promised to support her trip with £300. Her friend will invite, accommodate and feed her. Please how can she package the application so that it will fly. She want to say she will spend only £500 from her account and is it okay as her friend want to sponsor the trip with £300 so everything will be £800. Her friend want to support her trip because when he called my sister on Friday which was her birthday he said he would like to host in the UK and promised her £300 whenever she wish to visit him and his family in the UK. Her friend is a male and married in the UK. Thank you all.

Hi Nairalanders,
I would like to apply for Australian, Uk or Canadian visit Visa from Nigeria but my country of residence is Singapore. I am on a student visa which needs to be renewed every year. The problem is the requirements for foreigners applying for these countries are difficult for none residence. I was advised to apply from my home country because if my student visa is less than 6 months I am not eligible to apply visas to other countries.

My question is.
Is it possible to fly to Nigeria for a week and apply or stay back in Singapore apply for visa and bio-metrics then when my visa is approved I can fly back to Nigeria to get the visa sticker on my passport?

thanks

Hello house, pls I want to apply for a Uk 6months Visa. I have visited Uk in 2016. I was invited by my friend and he paid all expenses. I wrote in my application that I was doing nysc but the company will employ me on a salary of 150l which later happened when I got back. I had about 4m in my fixed deposit and demonstrated how I got it through my petty business and all. Now, the challenge is this...this company is owned by Lebanese and they pay salary in cash except if your earn above 200k. So what I do is that I add 50k to my 150 and pay it into my account as salary. I have 7.5m in my fixed now and not too much in my savings since I do the transfer to my fixed from my savings. Pls, how do I package my application? What do I say so that it can be easy to understand.
