All these nonsense posts about.. set Nigeria on fire...it is only the media in your mind that is reverberating...the average Nigerian doesn't give a hoot.... of what use is RCCG to the Celestial person, or to the hare Krishna or Dibia?

The op must be quite young and emotional to think of such.

With all the support Abiola enjoyed across tribes, religions and even overseas, he was thrown into prison and killed for demanding his mandate, and nothing happened. Yet this man thinks Nigeria will be in fire if they do Osinbajo anyhow.

Even if kyari shoots Osinbajo dead on national T. V, na 2 days protest highest (spontenous o) for ikenne and some parts of Lagos . By the 3rd day, army go don ready. Nobody will tell the protesters to go home.

Oga, a redeem member was killed in day light in Kano for preaching the gospel, your G. O. did nothing. Christians have been killed in their numbers including pastors and priests, churches have been burnt and all forms of atrocities against Christians in the recent past and nothing has happened, no Christian has taken up arms, but you expect Christians to rise up and fight for Osinbajo whose primary interest is personal?

How many RCCG members do you think will be willing to put their comfort at risk for the VP, not to talk of other Pentecostals, before you start talking of the orthodox churches?

Now remember I am not talking in absolutes. But while all the examples you gave are grave happenings that have contributed to the atmosphere of religious tensions in the country, Osibanjo travails is at the highest corridors of power.

If you think this is incapable of setting the nation on fire, you really haven't been paying attention to nigeria

No one Christian is going to fight any fight for osibande. Was osibande not in power when a redeemed woman who went out for a morning cry (preaching) in Kubwa, FCT was murdered in cool blood What did ur osibande do that the Christians should now remember & will want to fight for him

Why? You ask.

He is a senior RCCG pastor, Someone Pastor Adeboye fondly refers to as Son. Now you may not be the biggest fan of Adeboye, but his reach and followership in Nigeria can NOT be understated. Osibanjo rode on the back of Adeboye for the first election, the second one was a mix of both the goodwill he enjoys from Nigerians and adeboye subtly endorsing him again (Remember the testimony about osibanjo's helicopter crash that Adeboye shared on the biggest RCCG night with millions attending and watching? While also calling him my son like a hundred times?? - PSYCHOLOGY)

If this ordeal continues like it is and adeboye makes even the most subtle comment about Christians rising up to defend the 'church in government'. Bam! Nation on fire!

A not so religious point is also that people are actually close to turning against the government of buhari because of aisha buhari's revelations. Osibanjo seems to be the only face of goodwill in the government right now and his maltreatment may be the final trigger that turns people!

OP, this is simply not true.

How will Adeboye's so-called son's so-called travails set anything on fire? Nobody sends that man, let me tell you. Is he not the one that was going around selling RUGA?

Who knows him? Who will stand outside in the sun for him? Who will leave job to protest for him? Forget, the only peoole who can actually set Nigeria on fire if government doesn't apply sense when handling them are Nnamdi Kanu and Sowore to a small extent. Sowore own will only cause some minor nuisance Sha.

Jayfolarin, Tinubu is a factor here. There can't be 2 captains in a ship. the ACN faction of APC would've to decide between Osinbajo and Tinubu going forward. Moreover Osinbajo's travails only seems to Benefit Tinubu.

But one fact is that savvy politicians show their hands last, they wait until everyone drops his/her Cards on the table.

It's just 2019, still many more intrigues to come, just stay tuned. smiley

From the political angle I definitely think you are right. And no matter who is involved behind closed doors for all osibanjo goes through, my point is the possibilities of religious war breaking out in the country should people in power not use their senses.

We never had a pastor in the highest corridor of power before. Needless say a senior pastor of RCCG and Nigeria is literally at its highest state of religious tensions at the moment. This could cause serious problems if a Muslim vs christain angle enters the osibanjo issue.

I hope you get what I mean here?

Op we've seen more intense Tensions in this country nothing happened.

Remember that CIA predicted that NIGEIRA will experience a second Civil War in 2015, but it never came to light Not even in this case.. Here are the reasons.

1.what do you expect people to do... (they can't do nada)

2.contrary to the way you are making things look, osinbanjo does not command so much followership. At least not enough to make any substantial impact.

3.osinbanjo is not complaining. Infact he has no one to complain to. He is alone. He has no one to run to, apart from pa adeboye. Mind you pa is not a politician.

4.do you think yorubas would rather listen to osinbanjo instead of tinubu?... TINUBU IS IN SUPPORT OF THE CABAL BECAUSE OF HIS INTEREST.and yoruba christians are the supposed followers of osinbanjo.

5.TAKE the case of atiku as VP under obasanjo. Despite the hit he recieved during his tenure under the president, he couldn't do nada, infact those incidents affected his career, of which he is just recovering from...

6.But that doesn't mean the people are not watching.... The cabal think they have everything under control, it might seem so. The way they manipulate everything in government, with an ordinary eye, you just know there is a bigger plan, a grand plan. Either for financial interests or religious interests. But suddenly everything will come shattering on their head.. But not today. Very sure of that

My take, osinbanjo should bear the hit.. And see if he can make anything of his political career in the future. I will be very surprised if he did not see this coming. Even before the 2015 elections, we all know this is what it will all come down to.. I don't want to say that they warned him. (though they did), but someone needed to be the vp, and he was the right person

I totally understand your points. But you seem to diminish the significance of having a PASTOR at the highest level of power. And not just an ordinary pastor, mind you, i am talking about someone very close to the overseer of the largest church with 10s of millions of following in Nigeria alone. The presidency NEVER had anything similar in the history of nigeria

Pastor adeboye may seem to you like he is not interested in politics, but he has over and over again again intervened (mildly) to have Nigerians elect osibanjo and should he think for a minute that 'the devil is trying to crumble the house of the lord (Read osibanjo)' and say such on the alter. Things will blow up, trust me, it will. This is a man even the overseers of other large churches in the country listen to cultishly!

My major point about all this is this is uncharted territory for Nigeria. A senior pastor being rubished like this in the presidency MAY be the trigger that ignites the fire we all have been avoiding

Stop that lies. Which largest church..?

Adeboye is a businessman and a commercial pastor. So both him and Osinbajo can't do nada.

Religious tension will only start and end in yorubaland.

Others aren't interested and nobody send them message. This is the situation on ground.

Everything you writing start and ends in west. Others haven't seen reason to involve In such tension.
