The thing that has changed is the shutting out of OMO and fall of rate at NTB

People should be careful of this thing cos its like admnistering a steriod / morphine, it wld eventually wear off

moreso a lot of the local institutional investors in the OMO space (shutout) wld gladly still take the 10% being offered at the NTB instead of equities.

so the ACTUAL effect in the equities space wont be as much as d figures (>1 trillion) being bandied so pple shld not get carried away (max of 10 - 20% of the fund dat were forbided from coming back to OMO wld flow here cos d rate on NTB though down is still tidy)

As for the NTB/365 itself which seems to be the new ANCHOR in town i dont see it going below upper single digit (8-10) because of structural constraint (local economy constraint / impact on FX windows which the issuer CBN/FGN is very sensitive of) and also international constraint (G8 rate movement e.t.c).

So my take is that recent happenings had drawn a clear bottom / resistance on the down trend of the last two years but there is nothing out there yet for a NASA like take off of the equity market, what we wld have at best (with the current impetus) is some few steps away from the bottom

Mkt doin is own thing ..Where re the funds coming from ??..Where were the funds hiding since all these months of bearish mkt
I don't think fpis or penfunds will openly announce when they re coming to mkt ..i may be wrong but lets see how all dey go

If I read well yester tbills oversubscribed yester more than 4 times ..Next one dem say go still crash further .

Ask Greece, Argentina, Venezuela the same question when they said they will guarantee bonds and they did not.

There are risk in all investment. There is the non-dividend payment risk for stocks then there is the bond default risk.

For now, both risks are off the table. Nigeria can service her debts very well and banks will pay Dividends as well.

So don't look at one risk without considering the other.

How can I see a zero risk then choose 100% risk ? Even if you dey among people wey Dey high table self you are not safe.. look at that big entity in diamond.. if not for Access their name for be sorry.. I Learnt they bought at 5 naira

Those two, UBA and FBNH never waka far before, its now they're just moving.

So also fidelity.....now at 2naira and FCMB....now at 1.87.......still have more upside.

Ok oo.. me I prefer to sign a contract with a COUNTRY that guarantees me 16% interest than a company that assures me nothing

You should not just buy stocks. Study the behaviour of investors as well.

Now people will be chasing stocks to pay high price whereas it was once seen very low.

The next thing they will be doing is if some banks are out of reach, they will start to bid any one available including Unity sef . All in a bid to lay hands on any stock.

You can't outbuy them.

So enter when the market is falling.

If you are going to an event and you know that FG officials with all the security details are coming, why don't you enter early and take seat.

When the officials come, door don block o.
