Actually, introduction is a borrowed culture in igboland. Bride price and those things u give the ùmùada and the kinsmen especially those things are what marriage is all about in igboland.

Also when I saw the heading introduction and not pride price, I know that something is amiss.

U don't take an igbo babe to her family to do introduction.
Makes no sense. If he is serious, he would have done the ùmùnna stuff and bride price. Then whenever,go for the ìgbankwù nwanyi. That babe is still in the category of girlfriend as it is.
The babe cannot join ùmùada as it is now cos she is not yet married. But if that guy paid even 1k as bride price with some drinks and kola nut, she can hold her head high anywhere she is as his wife even though all other rites have not been done and is a nwada.
People use this format and before u know it, u have lived with a man yrs without being officially married to him.
