Please, I need your advice I got my 6-month visa this year expire next year Jan with me saying I do not have any family member in the Uk and i spent Just 10day as indicated when making the application. my question now is I want to process for 2 years and my inlaw want to invite myself and hubby will this be an issue for me since my first application was not with the invitation letter

oak202:

From experience, i got my UK visa last year without traveling experience and my colleague got his own this year October without traveling experience

I think the number of days is too much, 5 days is okay with a budget of 1,300 pounds .
Secondly, proving additional sources of income is important also apart from your main job because the ECO has issue with the acct balance. Sometimes do not limit yourself to 6 months statement if your opening balance is huge.

In proving your ties to your home country, you have to submit every available documents that you have like marriage certificate, children school fees receipt , land document ( i submitted Omo onile receipt) , birth certificates of children etc

I will advise you not to reapply immediately but you can try traveling to other countries before reapplying like someone suggested.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Vee2k: 6:12pm On Nov 20, 2019
Hello Good people, Please i need advice oo. I am currently applying for a two year Visa for my Aunty and Uncle in their 70's, both retired. They are planning to visit the UK for 20 days in January. Both have good travel history, my uncle had a 10year UK tourist visa which expired 2years ago, several US Visas and some other countries. Now, i'm just scared about the POF he's submitting.

Uncle plans to sponsor wife and his main account statement has a balance of N1.8M in the main account, and a pensions account with less than 200k. A lump sum of 1.3M and 200k respectively were paid to his account as rent last month. (Most of his income comes from Rent and shares). He also provided his CofO for his house located in a highbrow area.
Aunty has a pensions account with less than 100k
Questions
1. Does he really have to show where the lumpsum came from? He collects rent through an agent.
2.Does aunty need to show personal account statement even though she mentioned her husband will sponsor her.
3. Does his previous history make his application strong enough.

Will appreciate a response as there's really no way to provide evidence for that lumpsum.

Pls can someone help me get through the first steps to getting a tier-2 visa in the UK. The deadline is January 2020. And my occupation has been listed as shortage occupation skill.

Your occupation skill will determine what steps to take.

However, there are some general guidelines to follow:

1. Register with the relevant UK agency/body so as to get a certified/license to practice your occupation within the UK.

2. Start applying for jobs on UK job sites (this depends on your Occupation skill)

3. If you are shortlisted for interview and given the job offer, then your employer applies for COS which you will require in order to apply for UK visa from your home country (I guess Nigeria)

Gracias

APPROVED grin grin

Submitted 14th October
Biometrics 30th October
Application received 30th October
Passport ready for collection 20th November
No conclusion mail.
Praise GOD with me.

After submission, I picked 30th Oct for biometrics not because there wasn't date but because that's when my spouse will be available as we were to apply together.
All the while, I didn't know I put monthly income where they asked for yearly income lipsrsealed until the day we finished biometric shocked village people cry
I came here to ask for any remedy to that.
I immediately mailed them, paid about 2k plus with my card. The responded same day and said nothing can be done about it. Arhhhh
I resorted to prayer as there was nothing I could do. I also had hope and believed that they must have seen people with such mistakes in the past and maybe whoever that responded to my mail can help me update since the bank statement even though not salary based but about that stated amount enters at different intervals from company to personal account. 1M was deposited a day before printing, to personal account just so there will be balnace even though the account is very very active but we don't keep savings there. More like deposit, exhaust, deposit again.

Documents Submitted
Sponsor: self employed
Me: unemployed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
Documents submitted

Company bank statement
Personal bank statement
CAC. I didn't put tax though
Marriage certificate
Kids passport data page
Kids birth cert, some are Nigerian citizens, some U.S citizens.
School fees receipt
Family pictures
Flight booking unpaid
Hotel booking unpaid
Introduction letter with cost breakdown, 2pages only
CofO
Sponsorship letter, 1page
I didn't put my Nigeria accommodation evidence.
I paid only #44,530 X2

I'm happy all my reading didn't waste. Thank GOD

Much appreciated.
My occupation skill is:
B.Eng Electrical Engineering - UNN
M.Eng Electrical Engineering (Power Systems and Automation) - China
Professional Experience in EE - 5 years

While I don't have much information about engineering occupations as I'm in a different sector, I am sure there are some professional engineering instituitions/agencies.

I suggest you find out about Engineering Council in UK (you may google it) . You may kick-start your search from there.

This link may as well be helpful.

https://www.engc.org.uk/international-activity/access-to-practise-in-the-uk/

I hope certified UK engineers in the house can also be of help.

Good luck Boss

Hello,

Have you checked the UK shortage occupation list?
If the job titles quoted above are on the list, then you stand a very good chance to migrate to the UK on the Tier 2 visa route.

However, you may need to apply for jobs in the UK while you also have relevant qualifications/certifications/registration to back up the application.

Thanks.

When did you biometrics?
Use the web platform through computer and check if your application has been transferred and received by VAC.

There are six stages if you use the web platform to check.

See attached below as an example:

You can track the progress of the application by logging in to your profile. You will see "track" where you have your appointment details, in the same area from where you navigated to book your appointment. Please did you pay to get appointment?
