ChidimmaP:. From research made it takes 3-4 weeks. God forbid if the application is rejected they will get back to you before that three- four weeks. |

Morning guys, please i have a question. Sometimes i get confused with who to address any letter with respect to the visa application to. Does it really matter who it is addressed to when applying online? Most i see is "Canadian High Commission, Visa Section", some " Canadian High Commission, Visa Officer", Some Lagos address.. Please does it really matter? Will appreciate a feedback. Thanks in anticipation. |

Good morning house. Please are they cases whereby an applicant for visa does medical and isn't giving visa when the person is in good medical condition? After coming back from Medicals can you remove funds from an account you used as your sponsor? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by shakol91(m): 9:01am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Alkidam:I'm trying to know if you took that decision of going back to pick your passport when you saw it on vfs site without waiting for mail from the embassy giving the instruction. According to what my friend said "Canadian embassy communicates their final decision through email" . Is that true? |

Maprince4:There aren't specific documents to submit but rather guidelines to follow on case by case specifics. Factors like your age, program, sponsor, skillset etc but primarily you need: 1. Sponsor 2. Education credentials 3. Employment documents 4. Family information documents 5. Proof of home ties 6. Medicals* etc... |

Orlarshaynee:Then it's probably legit. College admissions aren't all that difficult to get. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Stevenssen(m): 10:46am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Kentz3:Are you talking about the US sevis fee? For Canada, it doesn't apply, you only make visa fee payment. |

ATLANTIC IMMIGRATION PILOT INITIATIVE Just a word of advice for the newcomers on this forum the Atlantic immigration pilot system is designed to lure immigrants to the Atlantic region of Canada so as to curb overpopulation, bring expertise to the province and many more. My advice is if you're looking for schools and want to maybe improve your Chances then consider getting admissions in provinces like New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. This is beneficial especially for immigrants with a lot of work experience which will make the transition to PR smooth. P.S: This is just a word of advice and the new Immigration minister Marco Mendicino as highlighted the continuous support of the Canadian Government to drive more immigrants to that region. Universities and Colleges(Atlantic Region) Acadia University Atlantic School of Theology Cape Breton University Dalhousie University Mount Saint Vincent University St. Francis Xavier University Saint Mary’s University etc... This are just some of the DLI Institutions to consider |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by UrsyBC: 11:38am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Ubah007:Yes, they did. VFS has actually sent me two emails. The first being that application has been received by Lagos VAC and the second stating that my application is under process by IRCC. Hopefully, there will be a positive feedback next week. Meanwhile I mailed my passport to Abuja VFS on Tuesday last week. Passport was received on Thursday... |

MUN19:Well if we avoid fraudulent documents, submit applications that make them understand how we can benefit their economy with relevant skills/sheer hardwork then it will turn out well by the grace of God |

Cherryola:Hello Cherryola, Of course, yes. That's a long time to be able to convince/tell the VO that your situation has improved/changed. This time around, endeavour to include relevant documents to back any stated information and be sure not to change any previous sensitive information, but you can always improve more on it. Good luck |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by JustMellow: 1:09pm On Nov 21, 2019 |
KrystalDesign:It doesn't really matter. But to make it look formal, you can use this 'short addressing format' below: Date To, The Visa Officer, High Commission of Canada. Dear sir/ma'am, Letter of Explanation All the best. |

Good people of this thread, I would be applying for the Canadian Study Visa next year against Fall 2020. My issue is that the Date of Birth on my WAEC Certificate doesn't correspond with the one on my International Passport and Birth Certificate. Is this much of an issue that can lead to Visa denial. This is so pressing because WAEC has stopped effecting corrections on my issued certificate. I am confused and helpless. Please what do you suggest I do. I am a prospective Master's student. Thank you. |
