Guys abeg. If you are planning on relocating to Uyo. Cone with at least 250k to get a good flat in any part of Uyo.

I live in Uyo and I can tell you that most of the prices op stated are for sub standard houses.

Unless you want to go and live in the village. Abak road alone has houses that cost up to 400k.
Gbam. I asked for a newly built 2bdroom flat and was told 750k/annum.

Akwa Ibom is a state in Nigeria which is located at the coastal southern or south-eastern part of the country; lying between latitudes 4°321 and 5°331 North, and longitudes 7°251 and 8°251 East with it's capital city as Uyo. It came into existence on the 23rd of September 1987 by the Federal Military Government under General lbrahim Babangida, out of Cross River State.
The state is populated with over 5 million people and over 10 million in dispersion. Akwa Ibom is currently the highest oil- and gas-producing state in the country. The inhabitants of the state are: Ibibio, Annang, Ibeno and Eket. The Ibibio are the largest group, whilst the Annang, which form the second largest group, speak a language very similar to the Ibibio Language. Ibeno and Eket speak a similar language, and are located at the ocean.
The Ibibio language belongs to the Benue-Congo language family, which forms part of the Niger-Congo group of languages.

This information is very wrong, I don't know your definition of mini flat but I guess you meant self contained, for Uyo main town, cheapest rate for self contained is 150,000 upwards, in areas we have constant power supply like Osongama axis, ewet housing, shelter, etc the rate is as high as 200,000 for a start.

Contrary to what Op said,I live in Akwa ibom, school in Akwa ibom and am an. indigene.
The price he listed above are prices of self contained rooms with probably no water,or no light or no security. If you plan on getting a good self contained room, carry like 150k,for flat carry like 200k,2 bedroom 250-300.Good places to stay if you plan on relocating- Eket, uyo, ikot ekpene, abak.
Eket and ibeno and Esit-eket are under ibibio but the speak different languages each.Good jobss opportunities dey Eket, uyo, ikot abasi, onna, ibeno.
Life is Sweet in uyo,u get good road network, transportation is faster because of bolt and opay, also cheap.there's uber.
Good public transport, almost steady light if you're staying at four lane, ewet housing, shelter afrik, oron road, all in uyo...Eket is fun too, enough flexing place but bad roads.

You probably can raise your monthly rent from 2-3days job or less over there, but it takes 3-4months to put together your yearly rent over here. There is the difference, the comfort over there is at a different level

The lagos comparison again!
You grew up in a village in Akwa Ibom state. Not the whole state. And it's typical that in most Nigerian villages they use pit toilet including in Lagos state.

And about the population, I think it's quite cool that Akwa ibom isn't over populated. It keeps the state clean and checked

This is not true unless you have evidence to support your claim. Where exactly did you find houses where pit toilets are used? And why should it be compared to Lagos which is Nigeria's most built-up environment and smallest state?

grin I asked myself this same question..
Things here aren't cheap at all. In places like Delta and Bayelsa, lands and rents are way cheaper...

Another thing the Op didn't add is that most of the houses are below standard..

A good self contain with water and all that can be gotten in delta for 80 to 100k buh Uyo?? For same house you need hold reach like 150 180...

Along Ikpa road, my friend pays 150 for a tiny room with bathroom and kitchen.. Everything is soo tiny. To make things worse, there's no water. For 150....

With that you can get a good 2 bedroom flat in good places in Warri.
