franchasng:Is this computer department different from the one I do? Because I think I even enjoy doing the pipeline corrosion engineering than the computer thing. Though with the computers, I need more of my brain to work. What I do when seen with a computer isn't what others do. A times, I'm dismantling and repairing, troubleshooting, setting up and others.. Sometimes, I don't even have time checking my mail. I think if jobs are described well and one wants to do more they should just genuinely desire to do more. There is nothing in that computer without internet except they want to be watching movie on it. Some of us who work for companies don't really like it. Especially those of us in the east working for igbo own companies who don't care about how you fair and don't do pay raise if you are not related to them. If I mention how much I get paid with all my experiences and expertise, you will even help and cry for me. Sometimes, we just try as much as we can not to let ourselves into bad things. the little we earn we help family and friends as well as try to save so one can startup his own. My bro/sis. Everyone who knows what really to do with a computer will apply in that area. Anyone who asks for that when it has nothing to do with their job isn't ready to work. |

I left my bank job because my wife and i were bankers and it was hell tough for both of us to cope...so I had to resign when I was badly needed that is at my peak. Thank God I took that bold decision. |

franchasng:Lol.. Your IT support should do their jobs well then. Let there be restrictions over the wifi. There is nothing we can't achieve and however we want it over the use of internet. |

l left my last job for two reasons First, the staffs have this eye service, all trying to impress the CEO with what you did and what you didn't do so he would like them more and treat them better. Plus they won't mind their job role, they always want to know what you are doing and how you are doing it Secondly, my colleague in my department resigned and I was asked to over work before another colleague will be employed, I covered both shifts for two months with the manager saying he hasn't found a good replacement that I should endure meanwhile I was expecting a little increment for this periods and when it never came I opt to resign and when I did, manager said he won't pay my last salary. Trust me, I gave them a run for their money ![]() |

I left my job to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams, which is my passion & destiny that I had always longed for since I was very young. I was earning about half a million naira per month but I didn't get the fulfillment I wanted, I always felt like a fish out of the waters, so after many years of being unhappy, I decided to heed destiny's call, I resigned from the financial institution I worked for and set out for an 'uncertain' future. The first 2 years did not present pleasant experiences as I wasn't even making up to 25% of what I used to earn but as time went by, my faith and doggedness keep me going and things are much better now. Do I regret my decision? Hell NO, it's about the best I have taken so far in my life. The future is even more exciting because I would be making in a year what I used to earn in 4 years (or more) combined out of my many years of career. When Abraham Maslow ranked 'self-actualization' top of the hierarchy of needs, I didn't understand, now I know better. Please pursue your dreams without fear even if it means getting out of your comfort zone. Self-actualization is priceless. PS (Post modified) Oh, sorry for veering of course, I just carefully read the post of the OP after I had made this post, the question was within the context of a job interview, didn't realize this but then, I have made my post already, the time I spent writing would not be wasted....lol. |

Just got a job in a bank as a teller and it has been frustrating and tedious for the past three months. Plus the fact that I have to even attend to ATMs amidst the tellering duties. At the moment, I feel serious back aches and the stress i also feel is from outside this world. I am not happy with the job and I am currently thinking of resigning without another job on sight. Pls I need your pieces of advice. |

Employmenthub:My GM and chairman wanted to date me. The chairman sacked the GM and started his own advances but I still refused., then he relieved me of my duties as a secretary after asking me to resign which I refused. I thank God today, I on my own after praying to God to settle me that I don't want to work for any body again. By His grace, I'm doing better with peace of mind. |

Being a teacher that did not support 'expo', I was a threat to that woman. So she waited for the end of the term to let me go. |

ultimate77:Lol...unfortunately, that's not how life works. Earnings and taste is relative. What you might consider to be big pay, is someone else's pocket money or is not even enough for the next man to get by. Some people by virtue of taste, lifestyle, upbringing, bills, ongoing projects, job experience, age, family, plans etc will turn down offers that you would have ordinarily accepted. Las las, God go bless everyone so that we get to that level. |

Please don't resign, try and be happy with your current job, make your worries be your comfort. Even if you want to quit make sure you have a strong plan B. Some Jobs can be frustrating but being jobless is more frustrating. jonextee: |

Jewessgratitude:Beautiful ma'am. Actually I have a client with a very complicated issue. We make a CV for her, she got an invite for an interview, she passed the first interview after our preparation , she was asked to come for the second during which the company did a reference check on her with one of previous employer and unfortunately, they called a company where the CEO was making sexual advances at her. ( it was a one man business tho) The man said alot of negative things about her. When she went for the second interview she was asked why she left that particular job ( you know you can't speak bad of your previous employer, that's the rule she thought) she gave an excuse saying she needed a more challenging....so forth. The whole interview questions and answers thing. The recruiter told her he did a reference check on her and her previous employer said alot of bad things about her, long story short she lost the job. Nigeria is a very complicated country, things are really tight here, so job applicant have to be very careful.... study your recruiter, study the company, its environment. Always tell the truth!!.... She's got another offer now |
