I am sorry to say that I will not be able to disclose my income here. However, the amount I stated as budget for the trip was not more than twice my disposable income.

Congratulations! Sorry to ask this... Pls what is your income and your disposable income? How much did your stated you are going to spend on your trip?

Okay. Congrats once again

Can I change my appointment date after selecting one? Maybe after seeing a closer date, closer than the one already picked, can I switch?

I intend to spend 10 days of my next annual leave in London which will begin in Mid February 2020. I work with a Federal Agency on a salary of N106,000. I am married with kids but I will be travelling alone because of the time my leave fell into. I have 1.8m account balance and 2000 USD on my dollar account. I don't have anyone inviting me, I am only going to explore London on my own. How do I go about my application I need advice

How much do you plan to spend on this trip?

For assisted service, they'd scan and upload when you're there. So if self service, I'd say up to the morning of your appointment

Good morning all.

I need your opinion please.
I uploaded my documents and son's documents.
We went for biometrics 25th.
Got visa application sent to DMC mail for both of us.
I decided to just track our profile today
I found out my son's profile still has UPLOAD highlighted and also BIOMETRICS ENROLMENT ON RED.

Do i need to worry?

My people good afternoon!
Plz I want to know,
What's the duration of stay to be granted by the embassy for a UK conference visa if the conference was to last for just a day?

Also, how many months am I likely to be granted for a 10 day tour to UK?
Thank you all!

Dear Sir/Ma,
Please I will like to be enlightened on the below senerio:

I am on tier 2 visa for 3 year and my dependant is also on tier 2 dependant visa for 3 years.

we are already on 6months now and I want to change my employer.

Please I will like to ask if:
1. Should I use the extension visa link to apply for my new visa?
2. Should I also apply for a new visa for my dependant or I should allow her current visa to end?
3. Will I pay for IHS since my the IHS I paid for the 3 years visa has not expired?

I will be very happy if you could help me out.

Thank you.

Hello, I am on a tier 2 also and have changed employer before.....
1. I don't know what you mean but I go through the gov.uk site
2. Yes, your dependant needs a new visa, if you move, she moves. She is not the main applicant so she can't continue to stay on the visa
3. You both have to pay a new one but the difference will be refunded within 90days to you. But act fast, there is news it will go up after the election if Boris remains as PM.

When you uploaded, did you upload on your son's profile too? And was it accepted, did you print out a copy of the accepted documents for him? If you did all this, try and upload again and see what happens

On that budget you need a miracle to get a visa because of your salary level.

Again it makes no sense that a married man on average salary is planing to spend more than 6 times of his monthly salary alone on a leisure trip.

So the question is..of what benefit will this trip be to you and your family?

If you are going to accommodate you brother and feed him, then he should take care of his flight fare and miscellaneous. Book flight (unpaid) and add extra money for things like sight seeing, shopping. That should be how much he's going to spend. Remeber he must not spend more than half his disposable income.

Please this it not really clear, can you define disposable income as used here?

UK grants 6 months visa for first timer irrespective of the number of days you are using.

In addition to justwise advice, follow my comments on page 151 on guideline on how to budget.

One golden rule is that your budget for trip must not be more than twice your monthly disposable income. Apart from salary, if you can proof that you get money regularly monthly elsewhere with prominent evidence, that can also be added to your income. Monthly disposable income is your total income you get in a month minus total expenses you spend in a month.

You also need to proof how you have 1.8 million naira and 2000 usd in your account as reflected in your bank account. What evidence of business transaction? Are you also self empowered? Proof it with evidence reflecting your bank account and origin. If you receive lump sum of money, they you need to explain its origin and what will it be used for. You can also collect evidence from those who sent it.

Dont forget to also attach home ties and employment phenomena. Read my comments on page 159 about this.

Good luck.

This isn't a general assertion. 5 years visa can also be granted to first timers. I believe 10 years is also possible.

Disposable income is your monthly income minus your monthly expenses. What's left is your disposable income.

No negative effect. As long as salary payment has description for the month it is being paid for.

My answer was based on his question. You have to be a genius to convince them to grant you 10 years visa on a day conference or 5 days visit as a tourist being a first timer.
