Ikorodu axis, oshodi,Toyota,mushin,apapa,surulere,lasu Iba road,mowe ibafo, Lagos Ibadan expressway, otedola bridge, abiola gardens ,lekki,ajah....all in Lagos...are places you need to shine your eyes carefully when taking public transport...be careful because the one chance drivers in that state high gan!

In 2004, an okada man almost kidnap me around Alausa secretariat. I told him I was going to Magodo, instead he took me down to Abiola gardens area, went down that bridge around isheri or so and finally, went to a deserted building overlooking the huge moat and forest separating magodo from isheri .....o boy I was very scared
I kept asking where are you taking me to, he kept quiet and said nothing.. His face was emotionless.
He just kept riding from express, down the road beside otedola brigds or so, around isheri, he rode to a quiet community below the bridge, entered a footpath and went to the back of a house on the street.
Unfortunately for him, before he could stop at the building, very hidden and the type criminals hide, I had already jumped down from the bike and ready to flee at the sound or sight of anything . He took me to an uncompleted building behind a forest, a place I have never been before all my life or ever thought of.

Strangely, he just stayed in front of this hidden dark uncompleted building overlooking the most....as if he was expecting some one to come out...i was studying him from afar . I asked him, is this Magodo? The only thing he said, is that , he though this place , back of that huge moat separating Magodo from isheri , leads to Magodo. I was just looking at him. In my mind, your plan, done already fail.

after some minutes of waiting , I just walked away from the hidden place to avoid wahala.......when he saw me leaving, he kicked up his bike and came to meet me....He didn't say a word And took me straight to Onanuga street, in Magodo where I was going in the first place.
So my question is, why take me down that place from Alausa Ikeja ?
My mind told me, he wanted to hand me over to kidnappers in that uncompleted building hidden by bushes and overlooking a forested most

If some guys had jumped out while we were still there together or even before I jumped down from the bike, how could I have escaped? Would I be alive today?

That is exactly what happens with many okada rider in Lagos state.
Take me to A, they will take you to B. And if you are not fortunate, that location B is not coincidce......they are kidnappers who have paid him to supply passengers.
One chance drivers and okada riders many for this country sha!

So always be careful.....it was years later I saw police public alert that otedola under brigde and environs were hotspots for kidnapping and ritual killings.

Instead of going to the park to take bus, he entered along the road....that was what the villagers who saw him last told family and police that searched for him

Travelling to an unknown destination? Try not make it a night journey.
Plan it such that you can get there before 4-6,
If for any reason you get there late, and you don't exactly know where you are going, well, night time is not the ti me to start asking for directions to where you are going

If the place is not safe at night, asking people for direction is an easy way to be misled and kidnapped

Find a nearby hotel, hospital, church , barracks or police station to pass the night.
And that does not mean should sleep o......somewhere safe to pass the night, you got to stay awake

I see a lot travellers entering Benin around 7 and asking drivers how to get vehicles to sapele, warri or even east.....this is very risky....they don't know where to get venues and many don't even know where they are going at night

If you are going to travel,please do so in day time
Also be careful who you ask for directions

Bike men and taxi drivers can mislead you

Approach roadside sellers, store owners and security men or even police for directions
Get the directions clearly before approaching okada riders to take you there
Call whoever you are going to see to wait for you at the park or bus stop to receive you

Be wary of nice and friendly strangers trying to chat you up in public places.......sometimes their motives are evil and they may have speech activated charms designed to hypnotise people they chat with
Don't form nice in return and chat them back

Simply ignore them, especially females

Someone drops something on the floor, please do not pick it for them if is an open place
Call their attention to it and if they say pick it for me
Just walk away

No need to say pick it yourself

As long as it is not your item.....don't pick it for them

If you see it falling from his handor pocket.,...use wisdom to decide whether to pick it for him or not

Beggars are people you should be wary about giving money.....some of them are very diabolic and may use your help against you

There is a story of boy in Abuja, it was reported in the news. He gave an old man money in public, but strangely found himself in a slaughterhouse somewhere in Kano when he woke up

If you attend a party or social event, and a group of young, strangers offer you free ride to your destination or somewhere you an a vehicle,please think twice

This is especially true if you are a girl or lady, and the guys or men look rich .......

A girl in delta state lost her life like that some years ago for following. a group of boys she met at a party, in their car

Well, old people are fond of going outside to take fresh air or just have a look!

What assurance do you have that you with ever be seen again if you enter the gated compound?

This is especially important if your caller is urgent ,persistent and enticing you with big fee. If you tell him you charge 1million naira for your services, he will tell you, no problem, just come, money is not the problem.

They will seek to make you come alone immediately to fix the problem. Don't be surprised how they got your number, because they may asked around for reliable skilled worker from people around. But the motive is evil.

My friend Eric, way back in 2004, told me that is how many of the rich people in Lekki, Island and other affluent part of Lagos kidnap victims they use for their money rituals.

An elextrician fell for this trap in Victoria island last year, when a pharmacist hired him to work in his pharmacy shop. He went in but never came out. When the wife reported and was traced, they saw his dead body in the pharmacy, with signs of bleeding.

Some years ago, a nurse received a call...to come over and treat a patient at so so so and so address's.....immediately she got the call, she took off.
I can't remember if she told anyone about her movement.....but....that was her end
