And you think riders cannot plant stuffs in your car? Let's assume that was a proper police check: You get down to open the trunk while leaving a rider in the car, rider is having a weapon or a banned substance, gets nervous knowing that the police may search him as well when they are done with the booth, drops the substance in the car, maybe on the driver's side. Police comes to search the car and finds what rider dropped. Rider denies knowing about it. Tell me who will be held? This scenario would have played out in real life. You should never let your guard down. Everyone is a suspect, police, rider, etc. Na naija we still dey oo.
In this scenario, police will ask every occupant to step out, it has happened several times. But to ask your rider to step out because you want to open your booth is WRONG

This is not a good attitude
So anytime u want to step out of your car a rider must come down? What if u want to change something in your bonnet, a flat tyre, someone bash your car etc a rider will also need to step out? It is offensive to insinuate someone is a thief when they have not stolen from u. When a driver do this to you and your wife some day, only then u will know how offensive it sounds.
If I am a rider there is no way I am going to continue a trip with a driver asking me to come down at every point he does because he suspects I am a thief. Money is the most valuable thing u can have in ur car, put it in your wallet or pocket.

Okay ooo, for now Opay till further notice or till when they start showing the Taxify and Uber in them.

Opay ti take over. Bro is it true from the grapevine that if you get to riders destination and he/she decides to go somewhere else and tells you not to end the trip, opay will not record it? I.e the app does not calculate the continuous kilometers and duration and the rider is only charged for that first trip? That you have to end that trip and request another one?

sir, it depends oh
if its back tyre that is flat, he may have to step out . you wouldn't need to tell him sef.
you may offer a shade for him if available otherwise two of you should come to an agreement.
things happen

deedee44:

If you have a flat tyre while on a trip in a hot afternoon, would you a ask your rider to step out in the sun till you finish changing your tyre? I will advise you to keep valuables at home when you want to work or lock it up in the glove box. Another option, put your valuable where all eyes can see if you have to step out so you can easily know if it's missing by the time you step back in

grin grin I'm beginning to doubt their credibility. They have agents who can verify and activate you without training. No response mail, no acknowledgment.

Huber I'm still loyal oh! Free me from my detention.

Thanks guys. I appreciate each and everyones concern and advice. I have turned the offer, though I got another for 2.8m. corolla 2006. Toks. For HP also...

Not a bad price for a tokunbo. It will take you about 2 years to pay for the car.

If you don’t have prior experience in ehailing, it’s advised to do rentals first. Forget everything HP for now and focus on rental so you can get accustomed to the business and also a car (you would learn how to check and troubleshoot different problems as you drive).

If you jump on HP now, you might regret in the future bro. Remember, it’s not by HOW FAR but rather HOW WELL. Peace

Chairman I don't think so, I have done such trips and have even spent time in traffic. They calculate for those things

I will get out with the driver if that's what he wants. So long as he's polite about it. Some people here are not getting the point. I am not against going out to open my booth for security check, I have done that for police a couple of times before. Point is, I cannot leave strangers I met in less than a minute to remain in my car while I'm out, not when I have valuables there.

Bro go to Naf Ikeja, army barracks and other military areas when u get to the gate open your boot and sit down like a big man and look through your inner mirror, the rest they say is history.

Your sure bet is car hire people, and I doubt you can find at that price.

Uber people no go leave their cars for that amount, they can make in 2 or most 3 days

#3,500 fuel used,And the engine cried for 12hrs plus, 11,300 naira grossed, @8.43pm, 10k paid out for parking at a wrong spot in the airport - mm1. The pain felt is unexplainable. I'm about to invest heavily in a fleet, so I want to know how it feels like being a driver ,n the pros n cons in the business. Just 4 days in this - So far,I feel the drivers are not well protected and prone to risks while the riders get some protection. In my view, riders should also have their face registered, not only the drivers (I'm sure bolt or uber wouldn't want that to avoid low patronage, in the end, they don't care about the drivers but the Cash flows). Also the bolt commission doesn't seems high if only the fares can be slightly increased ( sometimes the fares are ridiculously low), if they can't, commission should be reduced. Also, I think drivers that finish up to or more than two hundred trips monthly should be compensated at the end of each month. People will be right at a taxi park full of available cars, but will order bolt to come pick them up from d spot, because the fares is low, they dare not request for a local taxi, I'm still observing, n will drive more in my free times, maybe I will take it slowly with the investment plan by starting with just two cars, I hate to lose, hence I practically study what I'm about to invest in. Kudos to all drivers, wish you guys best of lucks, n b safe out there.

This was me 1 year ago. Good luck brother
