Young man you need help. Only unserious people make such comments. I will send you 50k for the weekend but you must come back here and screenshot the transaction slip for everyone to see. Poverty capital of the world where people own their houses and cars. It is just the third day of December and I already gave out 200k to three of my friends getting married this month. You need to change your circle of friends. You are blind and need someone to open your eyes. Follow who know road
Thanks but no thanks, you can send that to those begging for it. I'm doing good, I'm able to figure out how Nigeria works to an extent and make a living from what I do. But everyone I tried to teach or help fails! I see what my siblings go through and I know my kids will surfer the same faith if not worse. I know some people who's parents retired from Shell, Total etc, but due to the fact they where much younger and before they could finish from school, everyone Daddy used to know has retired so they start looking for jobs with little to no luck. I don't want my kids to think like you, I don't want them thinking owning a car or house is your destiny in life. When you buy a Venza you do a thanks given in church, when you buy an iPhone Xs max you throw a party and disturbe the Nigerian internet space. I don't want them thinking having a big ass is better than a masters degree! Being an instagram prostitute is your sure way to millions on BBNAIJA, and studying to be the best in class is your sure way fustration. Everything about Nigeria sucks, if it works for you, kudos! I'm a programmer, my mates are learning how to make cars drive themselves and making a killing from it. Staying back here is the worst decision I ever made, and it's because I used to listen to people like you. Anyone reading this, if your young, educated and skilled, Nigeria is not for you! Leave! Don't let those people who can barely read and comprehend a sentence discourage you simply because there life isn't working out. The same UK people complain about, my friend lives there and comes back every 4 months like plane ticket is free, and drives a 2019 Range! Same car heads roll for in Nigeria. Follow your dreams, abroad will be very beneficial to you as long as you have your papers you'll be more than happy you left.

Funny people full here grin

On a serious note, Nigerians can complain, some friends in the US still lamenting on taxes/bills.

Yea, it's me Basalt and I always don't wanna paint words. I am a graduate of Geology from UNN (with over 4point GP).
I received much discouraging advice especially from my relatives in America and even my friends telling me that since I have a high GP and still young I should continue applying for jobs in Nigeria because Abroad is no longer what it used to be. I was listening to their lies and applying to non existing jobs for complete 2YRS.
Out of all those applications, I was able to secure only private school jobs which paid less than 30,000 with lots of stress on my life. After 2years of frustration and earning like a rat, I came back to my senses.

I sold everything I had, borrowed money from my elder sister's husband (God bless them for me) and entered Germany last month on student visa because to me, all die na die (even if I perish in Germany I will perish happily than continue crying in silence in Nigeria)

On getting here mehn, the first thing I regreted was not leaving Nigeria earlier. I blamed myself for listening to their lies and discouragement all these while thats why I deem it important to open this thread and pray Moderator pushes it to the front page because I know there are many people receiving such discouragement as we speak.
within three weeks of comming here, I have a part-time job that pays me 13.5 euros per hour (I work for 80hrs per month) in addition to that, I have one mini job that pays me 445 euros per month.

My accommodation is 350 Euros per month and my living expenses are about 150 Euros a month or highest 200 if I spend heavily.
In addition to that, I have access to a world-class education for almost free and stand a better chance of getting a professional job after my masters and you know what that means?
Now do the Maths and tell me how it is not better than less than 30,000 Naira which I was earning in Nigeria before leaving?

Some people will say I am lucky but honestly, I am yet to see any student in Germany die of hunger here unless he is lazy.
I repeat, NEVER you listen to anyone telling you to remain in Nigeria UNLESS you are earning fat salary in Nigeria, even the so-called politicians send their children here.
wink
If you have the opportunity to travel abroad, biko please do o

There are other side's to a coin. The situation u find urself now is really not better than where u were apart from the fact that u are now being educated in Germany but give it time. Ur eyes will open soon enough and u'd have to rethink Ur plans.

Jesus Christ! Did you just say that? You mean someone who was teaching in a private school in Nigeria and receiving peanut left for Germany, his situation is not better than where he left? Bro, be truthful for once. Can you take up that teaching job right now and get paid 15k monthly? Why are we always this wicked to say the truth?

Am only saying not all that glitters is gold. It's left for everyone to decide for himself what is better for the person in a situation but always remember there are many sides to a story. If u don't agree with that then that's Ur problem

Of course not all that glitter is gold but leaving this hell legally is a dream come through looking at how the country is going from bad to worse.

Majority of the people that leave is not because of going to acquire riches but it's because of good standard of living. A place where things work. However, the op is doing pretty well.

He has even started learning the language all of these just to integrate well into the system. I never see the op not doing fine after his schooling. He will surely be invaluable once he is done.

Nigeria is a jungle bro.
even our so called leaders send their children abroad to study while deceiving others to bring their children back home. many of them even have dual citizenship and alot dont return back.

let me tell you something you dont know.
wherever you find love and peace is home.
even without the millions alot of Nigerians still appreciate what life Gave them abroad.

u feel nigeria is good for you, then its good for you, no dispute.

my people if you have the opportunity to japaa do not hesitate except you have what it takes to survive here in nigeria.

Oga, abeg I need work o, help a jobless brother..
After my Nysc for Jeremi, no work bro, I studied computer science, but no job yet, my laptop was stolen, I save money sent to a trusted friend in Lagos to help me get a fairly used laptop, I never hear from him since then, else I for don go far for programming/coding
Since you're into building abeg, help out with work coz I dey follow my friend dey do electrical work, but work no dey since...We don come, Edjeba, kiagbodo , kaiama & otuoke come do electrical work in the past

Una wey dey talk shit don hear am?
This is the story of majority of Nigerian youths who finish NYSC, NO jobs, no support, no money. The government because of their inefficiency to provide jobs to the outrageous number of jobless graduates will sing the jingle of entrepreneurship to them without putting into consideration that not everybody is born to be a businessman and the competition in business is so fierce especially in Nigeria that one needs huge capital and lots of experience to stand a chance of making it through business, and yet some enemy of progress will discourage you from migrating to a place you can change your life. Very wicked set of people. Nigeria is a country that doesn't recognize hard work but who you know, that's why you see many hardworking people still struggling to eat and pay their bills while some lazy people earn like elephants because they are fortunate to know the ogas at the top, and yet when those frustrated youth wanna go to where things work and change their lives and the lives of their generations unborn, they will be discouraged.
We should stop being wicked
