Lions and Tigers are two very different predators.. The tiger is bigger, stronger and more lethal than a lion but the tiger is almost always a lone wolf(I respect it for that) but that can only take you so far..
Lions on the other hand hardly ever stay alone, they take family serious and have rules in place in their prides.. You attack one, you attack all kinda shit..
Lions are pretty much known for their endurance and both the lion and tiger are at the top of their various food chains bro.. They have no known predators and the lion is pretty much a top five apex predator only topped by the killer whale, the tiger and the great white shark.. None of em even exists in the lions habitat so get your facts right bro...

Comments like this are really laughable... the tiger is bigger cat compared to the lion & even stronger, but what you must know is that the lion is not regarded as king of the jungle because of its size or strength.

The lion is called king of the jungle because of its majestic appearance & attitude.

First of all, the mane of the Male lion resembles a crown on its head n gives it a kingly appearance. For most predators, the female of the specie is usually the leader e.g Hyenas, wild dogs, wolves but its different with lions. The Male of any lion pride is the highest ranking, it's why its allowed to eat first when the pride makes a kill.

The male lion is also the protector of the pride. It'll protect the pride against other predators, mostly nomadic male lions looking for a pride to take over. Lions are very brave, they'll confront anything & they hardly give up during a fight to defend their pride.

When you look at this qualities/characters & match it to humans, you'll observe they are common with the same characters seen in kings.... this is why lions are called kings of the jungle, they live and conduct themselves like kings.

Then about tigers hunting down crocodiles, there are different types of crocodiles n they differ in size, strength & aggression... the biggest crocodiles are usually saltwater crocs (found mostly in Australia & some parts of Asia) and Nile crocodiles (found in Africa)... a full grown saltwater or Nile crocodile has no predator, not even an hippo. (Its possible for an hippo to be able to kill an adult croc, but at that level they rarely get attacked by hippos). A tiger is certainly not a match for an adult saltwater or Nile crocodile.

Finally,

That you see a lion avoiding a crocodile on land doesn't mean it can't attack and kill it... these animals are smart & they respect each other's territory as predators. They would always avoid confrontations by all means so not to risk injury - an injured predator is as good as dead. But if it comes down to life n death, an adult Male lion is formidable and feared by virtually all land animals, even crocodiles...

Yeah I get you bro but this doesn't rule out the fact that crocodiles get killed by lions every year but it's very rare to see a lion get killed by a crocodile and you wonder why that is?

The crocodile has one of the most powerful jaws and the strongest bite of any animal out there and if any lion should face it head on without backup or a strategy then that lion is definitely gonna get killed.. The crocodiles head is much more bigger than the lion's and no lion would wanna get it's head caught in it's bite..

This is why I mentioned the Lions are too wise for that.. Preys like the crocodile, they never attack it head on.. They mostly teamup and share the responsibilities amongst themselves with one or two luring the crocodile towards them whilst the rest weaken it from behind..

The lion is the second fastest big cat out there only topped by the cheetah and for their enormous size, they possess insane reflexes and agility to dodge and block attacks from any opponent even snakes...

Crocodiles are deadly yeah, but they do not possess the wisdom lions have and that is why the lions comes out untop each time.. They are a very complete killing machine and pick their battles wisely... I respect both animals though, it's awesome watching em, a very beautiful sight..

I get your point but we are looking at the strength of a particular animal,in different habitats. Lions kill crocs every time so using that analogy doesn't fit in. Crocs are never masters of the aquatic...hippos kill them even more easily than lions. Sharks are not jungle dwellers but apex predators in water,unlike crocs.

So look at it this way, a lion is master of the jungle but being an apex predator on land doesn't mean it would conquer an apex predator in water because even habitats aside, a shark would kill a lion,any day,any time.

On Size alone,the shark is way bigger than the lion, then teeth arrangement and bite force. A shark can bite a lion into two unequal or equal halves.
