This seems like what would be fun. I used to transcribe my lecture recordings for later proper reading.

If I can do something similar to that for some change, it would be really cool.

Questions

How do I approach this biz?

I have read the first 5 pages of this thread. Do I need to read up the thread before taking action? (No time)

The boss of domaining wants to venture into transcription..
U are highly welcome sir.

One tin u should know tho is dat ur first calls may be discouraging rating wise but u should just follow their rules and FAQ, and also go through their sample transcripts then the ratings would definitely improve..

Arlen and I went back and forth on thus smartphone issue leading to the removal of my old account on Slack grin.

So this is what I do and since nwafresh said we should share , this is my own hack.
So I work strictly on my smartphone, and it's been quite easy for me.
What I do is I simply break the auto transcripts into smaller section and then I select all and delete all the way to the first bubble, that's the only way to successfully delete those irritating timestamps, that first bubble will still contain the very first timestamp which cannot be deleted, that's way you can start fresh and create your own Cus/rep chat bubble as normal. I tried it first on that Friday with a 3 min call, was rated 4, been doing that ever since, and have only got ratings of 4s& 5s.
So for me it's like nothing changed, because the mobile page doesn't even have the loop, play snippet at the bottom of the screen, so for me it's been business as usual.
So when she kept saying it's for PC only and bla bla, I had to check her, Pau C was surprised that it could actually be done on a smartphone. Lol welcome to Nigeria grin

PS I use Chrome browser.

What Keyboard do you use on your phone?

Instead of breaking it into smaller segments just use the copy all and delete all buttons on next app for the whole work. It takes it all off once.

press Fn you'll see a box with ^A and another with ^x at the top.

Working on a conference call right now, one of the REPs and the customer are black Americans. Now these two dudes sound so fvcking alike, that I don't even know who is who between the two. Now to label correctly na die.

To prevent stories dat touch, release the call.

It would be painful to spend several hours on it and get 1 cos of inverted rating

I use the almighty Google keyboard stock grin, cos the AI is super smart and I guess the keyboard is very convenient for me.
When I say segments, I mean like 3 to 4 , just to make deletion easier, cos if I select all and delete or cut on that auto transcript, it doesn't work, so I segment it a little to make it obey. cheesy

I'd advise you to start with 1hr or less calls. Even at that, if you know you're not sure of what you're transcribing, my brother release the call, or let it expire. Only submit a sure transcript. And ensure you had enough time to go over it like twice before hitting the submission button. And I'd advise you avoid fonding C and HCL calls.

Read the QA guidelines very very well(very necessary) and try to understand it. Once you are confident that you understand the guidelines work on the call and cross check it after you're through. Cross check it at least twice before submitting. Possibly open a tab down for FAQ guidelines so of you're not sure you can quickly check and return to your work.

It's normal, they will still rate it, so don't panic. Mine has stayed four days before.
