Never should you say you have a sister in the UK, since you have filled in your form and you have indicated you have no one in the UK, your story should not change at all.BUT you can say you have some friends tho
Make your hotel reservation and do not cancel until you leave the airport.
You should also have your return ticket with you and should correspond to the number of days you have filled.
hold some cash and your credit card
If you are employed you can take your leave approval letter from your company(optional tho but it will cost nothing if you have it with you)
if possible self delete you and your sister conversation on WhatsApp just to be on the same side since you have indicated you have got no relations

In addition, when asked how you will get to your hotel just say you will be taking a taxi since you have got some cash with you.

i also work as an operation manager and i earn 60,000 monthly

i also have savings account of up to 250,000 that i have saved in there. please advice me how i can go about it.

i am thinking of going myself without my cousin inviting me, but i dont know how to go about it.

Dear Sir/Ma,
Please I will like to be enlightened on the below senerio:

I am on tier 2 visa for 3 year and my dependant is also on tier 2 dependant visa for 3 years.

we are already on 6months now and I want to change my employer.

Please I will like to ask if:
1. Should I use the extension visa link to apply for my new visa?
2. Should I also apply for a new visa for my dependant or I should allow her current visa to end?
3. Will I pay for IHS since my the IHS I paid for the 3 years visa has not expired?

I will be very happy if you could help me out.

Thank you.

I believe your new prospective employer has to sponsor your for a new tear 2 two visa. You may then have to get a new dependent visa for your wife. All this should be done before leaving your current job.

Hello my people...... Any first timer coming into UK through Heathrow airport....should be very careful.

make sure you delete any chat or mail that can land u back to muritala, make sure u don't save people's name with some funny words..my experience yesterday at Heathrow airport was a serious check by the boarder officers after being checked in by immigrations.

A guy was sent back cos they said his visa is fake which is not true. At first timer coming in at this time should be careful.

Which means they are ready to send pple back at the slightest of any thing.
i almost had a similar experience at Gatwick, the immigration officer asked for the contact number of the person i was going to see, so i showed him the number she sent as a whatsapp text. thats how after baba copied the number, decided to go through my messages with her. he saw a place where she asked me not tell anyone i was applying for a visa, he was questioned me about it and proceeded to detain me. i was called back and told that the information i provided was correct. he has already filled the form they fill to send people back

Hi all,
Greetings to moderators, gurus, posters and silent readers.
It has been a while and I am still reading up, but I have a question that may/not have been answered in the past.
The last item in the document checklist for standard visitor visa is "Additional Information. Evidence of family members remaining in your home country whilst you travel"
The question is bursting my brain. If marriage certificate or birth certificate, these do not prove that the family member is remaining in home country. In fact, I am wondering what evidence this is "POE stamp of the person entering Nigeria?" That does not prove that the person has not left immediately afterwards.
Do they want a webcam link of the family members in their house, or a gps tracking to localize them family members?

Anyway, up to the gurus and contributors....
Let me go and continue reading.

Another quick question. If you choose self-care for uploading/submission: do the documents need to be scanned to JPG, or will PDF format suffice?

Thanks.

If you are in Lagos or Abuja, consider visiting the (Deputy) High Commission if it is close enough to you. At least, that's what I would do if I were in your shoes.

Hello,

Send your complaints to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk You will need to quote your GWF number as well as passport number. This was the email address I used when my baby's name was wrongly spelt. They wrote me after about a week or two to resubmit the passport to TLS with a copy of the email.

I got a new visa signet after two days. The entire process was free.

Travel history is good but one of the most important things when it comes to applying for UK visiting visa is a strong tie to your home country. You need to convince the EO beyond reasonable doubts that you have substantial ties to your home country. A well paid job/financial stability, marital status, children, aged parents who’s care depends solely on you, landed properties, to mention but a few are part of what can show your tie to your home country.

The EO wants to know the possibility of you returning after your stay, so you have to convince them (with the documents you are submitting) as you will not be there to explain yourself when they make decisions.

Invitation from someone in the UK is just icing on the cake, it’s not the major determinant to getting ur visa approved.

Finances: You stated that you have 250k saved up. I’m afraid this might not be enough for the purpose of this visa. I suggest you read this thread well and consider your “disposable income”

This might appear to the EO that the whole family is vacating the country. How about you going with your kids first. After a month or 2 you can invite your mum and your husband.

I know child care is expensive in the UK but there’s always a way round it. When you get to the UK, Hoe about finding the nearest Nigerian/African church close to you (if your are a Christain) relate with the pastor/members you will probably get someone to watch ur kids for free or for less.

Good morning everyone.
I have a little concern and Ild appreciate a response from those who are more experienced

I am applying for a tier2 work visa and taking my husband and kids as dependants. My husband will travel with us and stay just 3days in the UK with us because he is still working (good job) in Nigeria

My job is demanding and I need assistance with my kids for at least the first 2-3weeks till I get some professional help.
Until then,I would like to apply for my Mom to visit ASAP

My question is..
Can my husband be her sponsor?
what will be her reason for visit ?
What do we write in her cover letter that can help?
When is the best time to apply? I’m starting work in January
At what point do I come-in in her application.

Pls help me. I need answers sad child care in UK is no joke

Good day gurus in the house. I need advice concerning a forthcoming visa application. I intend to sponsor the visa applications of my wife and son (3 year old). They will be spending 7 days during in April 2020.

Below are our circumstances;

Me: Employed (over 8 years non-stop), savings account balance of #1.6m, mutual funds investment of #2m, landed properties, pension
Wife: Self employed; registered business, business account balance of 650k, personal savings account of 500k.
Feeding & accommodation by my british citizen brother. I will pay their flight tickets of #471,099 (using TravelStart), rounding up to 500k to factor in transport within London
Wifey has no dependents and spends #10,000 monthly on an average on herself, as I take care of expenses in the house.

Please what do you guys think? What should I include to further boost their chances?

I look forward to your responses.

1 Yes, you need to apply for a new Visa to change employer

2 you do not need to change Visa for your dependants. The rules are clear. They can remain on the present Visa.
If you decide to change there Visa, you would get IHS refund anyway

3 as above.

The letter counts. If any family member in Nigeria don't write the consent/no objection letter, that column in the Checklist won't be ticked (✅). As for the letter been forged, me nor fit talk for that one o!

This isn't compulsory because not everyone has international passport. Some persons won't even get theirs until they are ready to travel.

Hi guys,I have a somewhat bizzare story but I promise this is true and not in anyway is this person trying to beat d system. so my cousin who got a 6 month visa to the Uk for his plab2 exam, hailed a cab from Manchester bus station to his hotel, when he got out to pick his box from d trunk.the driver zoomed off with his school credentials, international passport etc(he still doesn’t know if it was intentional).he has done his exam yesterday but needs a valid passport and visa to verify is it possible for a new passport and visa to be issued to him while in the Uk? Please before anyone suggests he has overstayed or anything I’m attaching a photo of his visa it’s still very valid he is just in an unlucky situation,he didn’t use uber or any ride hailing app so no way to trace via that.he has reported to the police already they gave him a crime ref number but they advised he get the passport and visa back. So I’m asking if anyone knows the possibility of one being reissued a stolen passport and it’s visa while in d Uk still.thanks
