Please this question is too personal.

I just finished repairing the bumper that trailer hit.

I am considering just giving up on this driving thing. Everybody seem to be mad.
Don’t try to quit ohh, driving in your personal car keep ur sanity intact to a certain extent....

In ur personal car, wat ur main concern would be is being hit by other reckless road users

But once u quit and start taking public trans... u go experience more madness, nah then u go sabi say Lagos nah no mans land

It's almost not possible anywhere in Nigeria....I've tried it in different states and failed...no matter how careful you are, the funny part is,you can park your car, dash off to do one or two things, only to come back and meet it with tribal marks huh
As in ehn, it’s tiring ohh, nah so one man wit benz 190 (full iron body) come jam my car for where I park ohh, my full back bumper was on the ground when I got there, and the road was wide enough for him to pass but maybe he wanted to test how strong his car was

Unless you car is invisible or driving a very expensive car that people would be scared to come near you. Even at that, no one has full immunity.
Oga if u like drive the most expensive car, pesin go still scratch u to prove point that u r not untouchable

I recently go a direct tokumbo car I'm driving that's smooth and clean. I swore that I'll be so careful on the road as not to get it scratched or bashed and I've maintained that.
Count down to last Friday evening. I was driving down the street, approaching a T-Junction, I put on my pointer to the direction I'm turning to, lo and behold this nigga with a tinted 406 was doing a reverse right at the T-junction. I sighted him and stopped even though I had the right of way to move....all along I've been beeping my horn just to signal him that I'm there and I couldn't reverse because another car was following. This nigga reversed and hit me from the side. I came down , didn't know if to start a fight or shout or scream. He said he didn't see. It's a minor scratch but it hurts.

Can you totally avoid such on our roadshuh

Driving on Nigeria roads without scratches on your car is like walking on water without drowning, except of course if you have police escorts. Motorists (especially danfo drivers) fear individuals with escorts.

Except the governor's official car. The vehicle has the protection of numerous outriders and escorts.
Many of them do involve in accident with other vehicles not even scratch

The most annoying scratches I get are from car parks huh Once you park beside another car some people don't just use their senses to open their doors. They will just swing the door open till it hits the body of the car parked beside it.

Las Las na car washes.... You will just be seeing different design on your car.
This infuriates me a lot. Those are the only kind of marks on my car too. Funny enough, those that open the doors to hit your car don't often realize what they've done until u draw their attention to it. And of course Na sorry dem go talk mshew.
However, there are ways to reduce or prevent your car from scratches or bashes.. 1. Leave home extra early to avoid morning rush, leave work 9:30 / 10pm if u work in traffic zones.
2. When in traffic, always stick to the lane by the road dividers, avoid that Lane close to the sidewalks where u have Kekes, bikes and danfos competing and dragging lanes with you. All these have worked for me. My present car is 3yrs old with no bash or visible scratch, only minor ones I had to use brake oil to wipe. In all, patience is key, do no struggle for roads with Danfo, Keke and bike, sometimes u need to act a fool to get away from scratches.

Few weeks after getting my car, I just woke up one morning to find a very deep scratch close to the left headlamp. And I never had any encounter on the road the previous day.
I just weak.
My suspicion is that a jealous and wicked fellow did it in the night cos I just painted it and it was shining.

Even if you park it in your compound and cover it...one day you will wake up and still find a scratch on it cos those kids will want to write ABC on it. Lol....

Driving in Nigeria without a scratch is almost impossible.

this sounds harsh, but is just the truth. Most of us in this country need rehabilitation. But unfortunately, we are only keen on being religious (hypocritically religious, actually).
