Any news about ETI? What's going on? Now down by a whopping 60k... shocked shocked shocked

There are reports flying around that the Managing Director of Ecobank Nigeria, Mr Patrick Akinwuntan, is battling to save his head and protect image of the financial institution because of an alleged fraud running into N800 million and other cases.

Ecobank Nigeria was accused of defrauding the Nasarawa State government over N800 million in unremitted tax and 10 percent withholding tax on credit interest monies.

As NPLs didn't crush banks, nothing will crush them. They will always survive. Banks are very resilient now.

Ordinary N800m? This isn't large to cause a scare na.

It is the accused that will go and answer for his deeds.

The stock can just touch 5.8 afterwhich it should fly IMO.

Uncertainty about capital appreciation or about the profitability of the banks?

Profitability prior to capital appreciation.
Banks results in Q1 and 2 of 2020 will either be flat or losses.

Maybe things will change from Q3 if favourable policies apply.....

It cannot be Mobil again. They have changed their name to double 11 plc. The owners of NIPCO bought controlling shares in Mobil Plc when Mobil Nigeria Plc parent company divested back then. The company holds quite a number of properties it acquired during the purchase and if they have decided to acquire more properties to diversify the revenue base of the company. That is a good move.
