Well, you may call them low life in your own narrow way of reasoning but in far broad societal expectations, they are far from what you call them until the time of consequences of their actions, if at all there will be. Baba it is not in my nature to compare my self but at some point of protracted hopelessness, you spontaneously find your self in d habit of putting your life in retrospective assessment and measure against the societal expectations and those things you see all arround...
LOL.... Societal expectations you say, NOBODY CARES . The same society would be the ones to put a tyre on your neck and set you ablaze when the going gets tough. This path you are aiming for, it will not end well for you. There are people sleeping under the bridge, people selling on the streets, doing every menial job possible so as to be able to provide for their upkeep or you think they don't know where they can get guns to Rob or do ritual? There is no quick money anywhere, you should be willing to sacrifice something if you choose to follow that path, your so called friends will not tell you until its too late to turn around. Be smart!

All your money in your different accounts all transferred to mine, then your relatives not just stopping there cos most family members tend to have bank details of others.

if it's normal to you , then I'm sure karma won't get me, Game?

Pls permit me to post this piece here as it seems not to be compatible with all the sessions available...

I will be brief as much as possible...

I am typing in disdain and gross depression. I am 32 years old. I finished from a university in the year 2012. As it is always of any person living in the glory and self-simulated value of finishing with good grade and from one of the leading universities in Nigeria, one would, of course, erroneously expected to retire from the academic environment, to a cushy labour market environment. Far from what I confidently pictured while in school, it is 6 years now and still counting, of active service in the labor market in search of deserving job. From the beginning of post-university time, many of my friends picked up YAHOO instead of wasting their time in d tensed labor market while some newly opted for it along the line of their hopelessness in the labor market. I was invited but I took my uncompromising stance. So far, I have tried to upgrade my self sha with professional exams but yet not materialising.

Behold, my friends are now juicily successful in their fraudline path. Even if I get good work today, it may take me 15 years of conservative savings before matching their lofty height of success. Almost all of them are now married, have an obviously paying businesses and of course, possess what it takes to earn Daddy status in their respective environment. While me no even get an apartment of my own... Ah still they live with my brother who is already married.

I am aware of how they make their money through compromising gmail, but I was hellbent even though the cross breeds of alerts on their respective phones is always intimidating. Even, sometimes, they did engage my service of writing an official and professionally worded statements meant to be furnished to their clients.

Funniest thing and not unexpected anyway, some of them are now stylishly cutting me off. Because I am presently far below their current social status and probably because I seems to them not to be a serious type or seems to them to be a coward.

For days now, I have been contemplating compromise and it's appearing to me that it is getting too late to be an upright man.

Dear Nairalanders, pls have you ever been in this situation and how did you overcome the thought of such compromise ?

I couldn't finish reading this.. I'm in tears...

Bro, don't do it. I repeat, do not do it.
Believe that your time will come. Every man's timing is not the same and can never be.

For a minute, put yourself in Invictus Obi's shoe. Guy made money, appeared on Forbes list....Where is he today?

I know a bro who was broke at 35. He was deported penniless. Mom sent this guy 10K from time to time just to survive. Three years later, guy is earning a 6 digit salary and is balling.

I think you should figure a way to improve yourself and make yourself marketable. You should also consider skills as nothing beats skills. Do not just live hoping for something good to come your way, improve and arm yourself to attract what you truly deserve!

yes i was, it is very normal to feel that way. Your best bet is to cut them off, find new hardworking friends that believe in hustling legitmately. The word of God says show me your friend and I would tell you who you are. The more you see them the more the temptation to follow them.

Just imagine the low lives you are using to compare yourself, instead of you to focus and build your life, you are moving around with nonentities. You call them friends but they won't help you unless you join them, what a pity that at 32 you are still useless. This life is a race, run your own, do not allow greed for unsustainable wealth to blind you and Rob you of your peace and happiness. 2020 is the year, work hard and be content, when the time is right God will provide beyond your expectations.
Must you insult people just to advise them? He needs advice, not insults.

You are not alone on this ship. Worst part is when you see people who do worse succeeding.

Maman J. Vasta who was the good friend got killed by his best friend who became one of the richest Nigerians, Babangida and still alive today.

We have seen corrupt government officials siphon Billions of Naira and send their kids to some of the best schools in the World, set up luxurious assets and hand to their kids. While the kids of innocent and hardworking folks struggle to survive.

At the end, you decide what you want. Thinking about it means you are considering it. However, you need to look harder around you and find hustles that will pay you. You might not get to their level but you can have a simple nice life.

At the end, we will not go to the grave with all the luxury. Let it pass. Give your hustle the best shot. Reinvest in it and grow. There are numerous things to do. Just pick one, focus on it and grow slowly.

At the end, not all of us are built to live on the fast lane.

I have fourteen guys whom I regard as friends. Not only are we friends, but we were also born in the same street, we grew up in the same compound, we came of age together. Collectively, I’d say we have known each other since birth.

Out of these fourteen people, thirteen are into Yahoo. They’re quite successful too. I am, I think, the most academically gifted amongst them all, but I am also the least successful in monetary terms. Abdul has built a 12-room mansion in Abeokuta, Kareem runs a thriving car-wash and lounge business; Dike currently lives in Cyprus where he married to a Cypriot, have 3 kids, and living large; Chisom is now a car dealer -- his dealership in Oregun contains more than 40 assorted and exotic cars; Dare runs a printing press that is contracted to the Lagos State Government till 2023; Jabba owns a wholesale liquor business that, according to him, moves 5000 crates of beer per week; Me, Nujabes, what do I own? Nothing much I should say.

Are my happy that I do not have as much money as they do? No, I am not. Am I envious of their success at the moment? God Forbid!

I have one thing that they could never have: I have a clean heart. My conscience does not prick me. I can boldly tell anyone what my line of work entails.

Two weeks ago, I was invited by Ikeja Local Government to coach in workers Digital Innovation and management. In the first week of February, I am going all the way to Calabar to coach another group on Digital Innovation. I love what I do even though it is not generating much money, but I know that with time, my efforts will accumulate. I am using my mind and creating value, growing mentally and spiritually.

You said it will take 15 years to accumulate the money they have, well, why not start now? In 15yrs you will be 47 if you ask me that's a great age to retire.

Some facts that you should consider:

1. I can boldly tell people what my work entails
2. I create value in society; I do not take value
3. My mind is very sharp because I have taken pain to develop myself.
4. Hard work will grow you mentally and spiritually.

It is par for the course to experience feelings of envy or regret when we see our peers doing well in comparison to us. However, an ethical and morally sound person, which you seem to be will not dwell on it, because the satisfaction that comes from doing the right thing should out-weigh whatever monetary gains that could have come from compromising your moral stand.

Bottle up these feelings of disgust and regret; seek ways to develop your self. Do you know where the cushy jobs you speak of are? Reach out to those companies unrelentingly. If you want to do business, develop your business plan, pour all your energies into it.

The heart of what I am trying to say is this: this bad energy that has gotten you down has no place in your life if you want to beat your unethical friends -- you need to up your hustle as well.

NAMES WERE CHANGED.

Like seriously. When I look at the racket/G Boys of the past. Like Obasanjo, Atiku and Tinubu, still waxing strong and having all the girls it makes me wonder.

I have a very frightening theory. If you hear it... Let me stop here.

Either way, I believe good still wins but it takes patience, perseverance and sacrifice.

From what you said, I think you have the fear of God.
You have a little problem. The problem of comparism! Remember that they that compare themselves are not wise.

Please be wise! Stop comparing yourself with others. Your destinies are not the same. Believe in yourself. Trust God for your ultimate breakthrough and success.

You are like a project in your maker's hand. A project that cannot fail!

But you must do something!
Something legit o.

I suspect you are not listening to your mind. It seems there is something your mind is always telling you to do?
What if you are meant to be your own boss by doing business or starting up something instead of working for others?

Consider doing a mind reset. Adjust your thinking. Be flexible on how to make that money. It must not come from a salary job.

I believe you. I believe you can succeed.

Make no mistake about it.
Karma does exist. Karma is a universal principle that cannot fail.
And don't think of Karma only reward for evil. There is also Karma for good deeds.

You also don't know what the rich are going through. Money is not everything.
At some point, money become nothing.
I pray that you will have more than enough money in your life so you will understand better

See this:
Proverbs 13:11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

Proverbs 3:33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Proverbs 10:2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

Proverbs 10:3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

Proverbs 10:22-23, 27 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Proverbs 11:4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

Proverbs 12:11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
