myobjective: Thats the evolution i speak of. The zamfarawas went through that, the maguzawas didnt. There were different stages. For instance hausas from kano and presumably other states started out as abagayawa, then the influx of eastern immigrants forced a transformation and this continuous evolution led to the new united hausa identity. Whoever was left out of this journey at some stage (eg maguzawas) do not qualify. |

There should be freedom of religion. Whether they are indigenous or not, there must be right to belief. |

VaughnSangrey: Some people don't understand your point but you're also not being honest. There are pure Hausa people who are Christians. A sizeable indigent population of places like Malumfashi and Mani local govts in Katsina are pure Hausa and Christian. They have no other ethnicity. There are other places like that across the core northwestern Hausa and Fulani States. I'm not talking about people like the Zurus in Kebbi, I'm talking real Hausa. It's something Muslim Hausa people don't like to admit and it's true that they're marginalised in their own states. It's the same way Igbos don't like to admit there are real Igbo Muslims in places like Ebonyi and Enugu. 6 Likes |

Guestuser:South East and South South Nigeria are 100% Christain regions. Benue-Plateau are Christain states. Southern Kaduna, Bauchi, Gombe, Borno and Adamawa, Sokoto, Kebbi and Niger are Christain regions. Christain minorities dominate other northern regions. Yorubaland is 70% Christain. Add the religion question to census make your eyes clear. 2 Likes |

VaughnSangrey: Don't know what you problem is but whatever.... My Rev gentleman while in ABU Zaria was a pure Hausa from Kano ...Rev.Prof Richard. Wusasa area of Zaria is hausa Christian community. Zuru people have sizable Christian hausas. Oppressing non Muslims is the style of Fulanis whenever power slips into their hands. Buhari is changing every organ of Federal government with Hausafulani Muslims headship even though Muslims are minority in Nigeria 2 Likes 1 Share |
