Rule number 1 change the locks of all major entrances before you pack in. I will advise you dont suspect anybody without tangible proof, count your losses and move on.
All it takes for a blacksmith to replicate your key, is just the sample. This guys can press your key against a bar of soap, and thats all.

I remember years ago when my phone was stolen in Egbeda Lagos. I was not interested in the phone as it was a 3k phone. Not a big fan of any gadget that isn't spelt L A P TOP but the sim was very important to me and it contained the phone number of two companies - the director of Goldlink insurance and that of a USA company I do blog outreach for.

I almost fainted when it was stolen but being friends with tons of okada men who are also friends with boys of the world I nearly got the phone...We found the boy who stole it but seeing the phone was useless he threw it in a canal. Pretty sure I would have seen it if it was a good phone.

The reasonable to do when you just move to a new place is to change the key engine.... Cos different agents could have the key of the apartment with them

Firstly you need to change your padlock cos it is a bit obvious the perpetrators had duplicate

Secondly, dont waste your time, money in reporting to the police

Thirdly, you dont seems friendly to guys around you... That's the fact

Bro same happend to me in 2016 December. I changed the keys of the house and I had just stayed in the house for 3months or less. My laptop was carted away and there was no single sign of breaking-in into my apartment. I'm still trying to figure out the way the larceny occured.
So sorry or your loss.

My advice: Move out of that apartment when your rent expires or if you can afford it soon enough before it expires. Do not buy any expensive items home again.

For me I wasn't rubbed but someone comes in to wear my cloths. I move away from the apartment. I guess any key could open the door. Try change the locks

Simple someone has a spare key or can open your lock without hindrance
