MumuCountry: It just obvious that you don't even know anything about Nigerian border closure, let me open your brain and insert something in to it, Nigerian only close it land border due to smuggling activities and the boarder doesn't mean total boarder closure 1 Like 1 Share |

obama30: Your writeup is crap and full of bullshit.. Nigeria has a population of over 180 million people and is the target market for Asia, Europe etc. What is the population of Ghana, Benin Republic and co? You think they can stand any heat from Nigeria?? Even France know they can't control West Africa with a country like Nigeria as part of it. You need to emancipate yourself from memtal slavery and see slavery for what it is. NOT ACCEPTABLE! 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Destroyerofyeeb: I won't say that, rather, I will suggest, Nigeria through our own central bank/world class financial research experts asses with the only focal point on the 'negatives' of ECO to the overall financial well bean of all Ecowas members (what effects one, effects all) Visa vi France/European intentions, new technologies like block chain, 5gs, kleptos, internet of things etc. Nigeria government should involve Chinese financial experts, African development bank, Top African financial experts before the whole region fall under financial neo-colonialism for the next one thousand years. 1 Like |

harjay1986: My brother as long France win Ghana hearts to join without Ghana want to carry Nigeria along Sierra Loan, Liberia and Cape varde is small issue to France, why i think Gambia will make logger head is because of Gambia rival with senegal which France can come in to settle. then it will left only Nigeria, and France can use unstable democratic issue to suspend Nigeria through Ecowas executive decision and ask Nigerian to go and build it home before joining democratic organize countries group. if it come to this way, my brother you know your nation is opportunity to steal more because no body checks them again. if care is not taken you will wake up one day and here that UN have decide to divide Nigeria and this zone is now call soso and so. and there's nothing absolute nothing this big for nothing nation can do about it. I agree with you .Nigeria is one of the biggest in terms of population in West Africa and also in Africa.Rushing to take a decision will affect a majority of people and also generations to come.so it's better for the government to contact all expert including all those we have in world Bank like Ngozi okonjo for necessary advice before joining any thing. For now the Nigerian Government has made the most sensible statement. Don't commit to any side and observe for now. The Government is on point...Don't forget to read up [/quote] 2 Likes |

France is set to recolonise africa again, they have already done so using money, terror and security deals. Don't believe me, check Mali, Cameroun and all states they colonised back in the day. The Eco is to be printed by France, vetted by France and approved by France after the deal has been signed. Its unfortunate Ghana wants to be drained even more after their US oil deal. Go research Thomas Sankara and see what France did to that nation, Burkina Faso. Need I mention Cameroun. Slavery is definitely back and the dumb black ppl have sold their people once again 2 Likes |

post=85374543:You spoke well, most people don't know that it's all a change in name from CFA franc to Eco, all the conditions attached to the CFA franc applies to the Eco. Imagine with several decades of using the CFA franc, non of them can measure up to Nigeria in economic size and GDP per capita, it's Ghana that has been free all the while to determine her economic policies before now, they now want to put themselves into servitude to France to determine for them, none of the CFA franc area countries measures up to Ghana in the first place so why joining such a club? Their choice anyway 2 Likes |

giles14: Please loud it.. Nigeria is the reason why ECOWAS is still existing today.. we give 57% of operational funds but less than 10% of Nigerians get ECOWAS jobs and we literally benefit Nothing from the ECOWAS treaty. Instead the neighboring smaller countries take advantage of the agreement to flood Nigeria markets with their goods killing our own local industries. I shake my head when I read comments of some intellectually lazy people on this forum. 3 Likes |

Let me advice everyone here reading this. You can take serious advantage of this new eco move by these foolish french countries and i will show you how. 1) Nigeria long forsaw this move to adopt eco afterall we were part of those who spoke up in support of it but after some checks we decided to slow down the process and focus more on growing Nigeria by Nigeria. I thank God for that strategic move by Buhari and i will tell you why Since they say they will peg the eco to the euro you can expect the eco to be introduced at around 5 eco to a euro because france would never allow it to be 1 to 1. Even if this is not allowed, the french countries in West Africa who would adopt this currency do not have strong enough economies to sustain the value so expect either loans from france to these countries as buffers which is not sustainable and would be solely targeted at keeping those countries in a debt trap or a gradual devaluation of same eco due to the weak economies of the countries adopting her. So if you are into manufacturing or Agriculture this is the time for you to make it big. The eco would only be able to be spent in the countries which adopted it and not outside it so as a Nigerian businessman who exports, start targeting these countries who will adopt this eco and convert your prices to the new value, make your money off them and save back home in Nigeria. This is to your advantage and not their advantage. Do not import from them because you will pay heavily due to the value change but because we have a very large economy we can export to them and at their new rates. This border closure thing was a good thing because it has opened our eyes to what we can do as Nigerians and i think we need to take it seriously. I am in Ghana right now and just want to launch a product i invented and approved by their government here for mass production and then in about 6 months i will be back in Nigeria to tap into this eco to my own advantage. Youths get up and form cooperatives. Put your resources together and embrace farming as a group effort if you cannot do it alone. You can then work on exports of your produce as a group effort and split the proceeds quarterly. I am an entrepreneur and recognizing opportunity is my strong side and this is a huge opportunity for the discerning mind. They want to block out Nigeria but we can take advantage of their attempt and get their money. easy money. 11 Likes 4 Shares |

post=85374543: There's only one reason that will make Nigeria not to be part of Eco now, either because as France takes over the Eco most of the government foreign transaction have to pass through France security, both the one to borrow and how it was spend. our politicians will not like that because all wanted to steal for their generation. where do you thing Tinue and the less will be if Nigeria accept Eco that manage by France, how can Nigerian's leaders ship out stolen money? many big thieves in Nigeria can't never allow Nigeria to accept Eco that control by France because most transaction have to pass through Eco central bank and France must be aware of it. Most Francophone nations leaders banks their money in France and technically fear that if they stole much someone powerful than him have a way to deal with him. For Nigeria masses Eco will give ours relief, but for our politicians is not a good idea 1 Like |

Stalwert: All African countries are beholden to some ex colonial master (France, England, Portugal) or potential/aspiring colonial master (China, the US). I don't know why African countries do not seem to have the ability to throw off the yoke of slavery and just keep trying to switch from one mastah to another mastah. It is painfully pathetic. 2 Likes |

Can you all believe that until recently France was paying 60 cents per 1kg of Niger uranium used to power their nuclear power plants instead of the market rate of $200. France source 75% of its energy needs from nuclear sources. Macron came to Africa earlier in the year campaigning against Africa population growth. They want to ensure continuous supply of raw materials from Africa to help power their own economy. High population in Africa means high pressure on local demand on resources and less for France. When you see almost all France soccer players are black with most with background from Francophone African countries, do you think France is stupid. It's all PR gimmick to please the largely "dunce" local population of these francophone countries. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
