Sir, is there no risk associated with buying state bonds? What if they refuse to comply with the terms and conditions. Just asking Sir

The liquidity status given by CBN shows that there is no risk, even Osun State bond performed. There is an irrevocable order which corporate lawyers to the bond must have secured that will mandate the accountant general of the federation to debit the payment at the source, it is what is left after the deduction that the state government can spend. Lagos State government even went a step further by creating a sinking fund for the bond.

With the order given to the accountant general of the federation the bond repayment and coupon MUST be paid before the state pays salaries, build hospitals and schools, repair roads and other expenses of the state government.

Lagos State has a budget of over N1 Trillion and the current is about N100 which is 10% of the budget.

Better to buy in the primary market than to buy at a premium in the secondary market.

Audio farmer, you're still here looking for victims?
Aren't you supposed to be clearing your farm in preparation for new planting season?

Small time now, you would be seen in the property section fighting for agency fees. From there you move to the autos section, looking for a vehicle on hire purchase.

As men we ought to be busy. Especially now we ought to be laying the foundation for the year. With time becoming increasingly scarce thesedays and maturity/tact needful as we grow older, I saw no need to comment on issues that adds no value to my life.

I hope you understand. As adults and men, it's only right for us to be decent, civil and engage our hands and minds as we lay the foundation for the year. And mind you I hardly comment or visit this section of the forum anymore. I also don't visit the business and investment section of the forums either. As I'm stuck in crime and religion section alone. Beat that cool

But don't worry end of the year during my end of the year financials I'll quote you both alongside my philanthropic gesture to help less fortunate ones behind. For now, it's work, work and work for me.

No issue bro.

Men should not be petty.

Happy new year. Have a pleasant day

Trying to get more of UACN, my last Treasury Bill which matured on 26th December 2019 was invested on UACN.

NSE loot are best kept in well priced real estate, Treasury Bill, Money market funds etc.

findings from my discussion with stock broking firm reveals some special features of this bond offer
interest will not be paid in the next 24 months (moratorium period)
principal will be amortised and paid over 8 years along with interest
no lumpsum payment of principal at maturity

Thanks, I will make my findings. I thought the moratorium of 2 years is when the principal will be kept in the sinking fund over a period of 8 years.

I am not buying I can get a better dividend yield in the next 6 months.

Got the mail last night and decided to share.

In the mist of all the insult, you did mention an often relegated business that has helped many low income earners etch out a living. I have heard of a widow who trained her kids through school and built a house from her akara biz.

Rather than move into the house which happened to have been in another location and would have taken her away from her customer base, she opted to rent out the place and continue the business where she was already known rather than going to start afresh again.

As to helping people start up an akara business, this is far better than giving them handouts. Many informal sectors are able to create jobs for a lot of category of people who are not lazy and do not have criminal mind of suddenly becoming billionaires.
delawal:

keep ranting. am not poor and can never be. its not pride but d fact. most of u here calling figures have not achieved half of what I have done.

let me tell u in ur ignorance. if I say real biz and say people can fry Amara if they can does not mean am cheap. we are talking economics. all participants whether u dey sell akara or gold or houses , all are important in any economy. personally I have opened akara biz for some people who can't pay their children sch fees before and now they can pay and even feed them well. keep neglecting d little key areas in d economy and be ranting about millions am sure u never seen before.

A challenge to you. let d owner of nairaland bring up a member here who needs real help. if only u can give d person 100k, I will provide same person with 500k

If it is possible, abeg help me call your wise mother and tell her say I greet am specially.

Many women in her shoes would opt for the classy duplex, doesn't make them less wise but...

Just help me greet am. That's all.

Adiwana:

This reminds me of my family. My late dad wanted a duplex.Architect already did a plan for it.Mumsy said no to build a flat.Built and rented out the house.Rent of the house took care of rent, water and light bills each whole year.We were landlords that lived like tenants while literally living rent free.Popsy later saw the importance.Learnt a lot from that experience

A house one lives alone that doesn't generate monthly income is a waste for any hustler. Houses were meant for the extreme rich but we have been so brainwashed with maintenance be a landlord and live like big man that many prefer going hungry to building a gigantic mansion which doesn't even bring in N1 but takes away from you due to maintenance. We all must be wise

I met a man that has been into manufacturing for 16years. 16years he has faced this tough economy without any form of govt help. 16 yrs he fights against yeye policies, apapa wahala and co, 16 yrs he has paid salaries and given people livelihood. Those are our real heroes But his story is touching. I was so emotional when I made that tweet. Looking at his staff and seeing all the people depending on him, humbled me. The battles he fights ,a man with no govt aid or connection. We need to celebrate men like him.

Except you are very good with technical analysis and you know when to jump out, do not go near stocks when prices are rising.

Too many sharks out there waiting for who to dump on. Even Emma the major proponent of Zenith and its DY will not buy it at the current price.

I don talk my own. What is it they say about experience being the best teacher?

I was able to get additional units at N19.50 yesterday The dividend received grew by 300% in the last 12 years. What else am I looking for , imagine if the rental income you got from a property quadrupled in the last 12 years.
