Hi Tunlex,
Thanks for your response.
I got my assessment result about 6 months ago. I recently passed my English test at the 4th attempt.
I am already following your suggestion below.

Also, I saw a notification on my EOI page that 491 category can do their medicals before lodging visa application:
Posted on: 9/01/2020 at 09:30

A reminder that for the subclass 491 visa you can do your medicals before you lodge your visa application. Details can be found at: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/meeting-our-requirements/health/when-to-have-health-examinations. Delaying your medicals can delay your visa processing.
tunlex01:

Sadly, Fitter has moved to special condition on SA list. So you need a minimum of 95 points to get 491 ITA.

Did you just get your assessment result?

You options include:
NSW 190 - with your total point of 65 for 190 visa, it won't get you ITA.
NSW 491 - you need a minimum of 5 years experience
NT 491 - minimum of IELTS 6 in each band
QLD 491 - available too
TAS 491 - at least 3 years experience.

Create EOIs for the ones you meet their requirements and check their respective websites for the nomination process.

Please is IELTS result valid for two or three years.?I know that assessment is valid for three years. I saw tunlex01 comment on the students thread that it is valid for three years.

Please o, good people!!! When I'm completing my EOI, should I use my IELTS Reference Number( in the confirmation email you received) or the Test Report Form Number on the report card?
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by BetterPerson007: 2:28pm On Jan 09, 2020
How long are my IELTS results valid for?
Whether you have taken paper-based or computer-delivered IELTS, organisations will usually not accept your results if they are more than two years old, unless you provide evidence that you have actively maintained or tried to improve your English since taking the test. The IELTS Partners cannot confirm the validity of test results that are more than two years old.

I went back to my EOI and saw this:

So I updated my EOI to my Test Report Form Number on the report card. Baba Bellong, Tunlex, hope it won't affect me negatively.

Hi Tulex01,

Thank you so much, I have checked the list of occupation and what relates to my profession;

222312 Financial Investment Manager (STSOL)
222311 Financial Investment Adviser(STSOL)

The above relates to my experience over the years, while 224111: Actuary (MLTSSL) relates to my BSC degree with little experience.

Ill appreciate your feedback..
Cheers

You can choose anyone of them. For the managerial occupation, you will be required to prove that you manage Financial investment advisers.

The FIM is open in two states (NSW - 5 years and SA - high points of 95)

For Australian migration purposes only - valid for 3 years. This means you must have gotten ITA within the 3 years.

Hello house
I got a negative outcome last year due to "they couldn't contact my employer" .
Some persons said its because my company didnt have a functional website. Am about reapplying now as my company just built a website. Does this pose any risk since the website is still new?
Pls advise what i should do. Assessing body is TRA

What I did was to use the email and phone# of a "trusted" person in my company. Then do weekly followup with that person.

Please is there a separate thread for those who have completed their EOI's, awaiting invites, or awaiting Grant's?

So I’ve never commented on this site, but fine job everyone is doing guiding Australian hopefuls.

I’ll like to add a couple of things.
1. Before you embark on skills assessment(which is not cheap btw), make sure you’ve gone through the various skills lists and be sure your nominated occupation is eligible for 189 and or 190/491.

2. Ensure you check the points table to see how many points you’re likely to earn and measure against the current points required to get invited.

3. With 189 being mostly out of reach this year owing to the high points required, ensure there’re states nominating the chosen occupation for either or 190/491, and that you meet the requirements.

I’m saying this because I’ve seen a lot of people spend money on getting assessed and even getting positive assessment, then turns out they either don’t have sufficient points or their nominated occupations wasn’t in the MLTSS or STSOL or that there’s no state currently nominating the occupation or they simply don’t meet the requirements.

Goodluck to everyone expecting to be invited for 189 later today.

Yes, I did mine with TRA.
He also needs to check his junk mail regularly. I wish I could provide the email addy to watch out for but my supervisor has left the company, and no longer has access to that email.
I also know of 2 other people whom TRA contacted their managers via emails.

Thanks for the insight

How much did you pay for the assessment?
Can you share your job description letter with us, that was sent to TRA, to know the format?
Did you write PTE or IELTS for 4 times or mixture of both?

Thanks in anticipation

You should write English test first, then assess before requesting for a region to nominate your occupation. Please read from from the first page.

Thank you sir.

Thank you sir, I have written the IELTS. What I have is enough for assessment as a Medical Laboratory Technician (7,8,6.5,7.5) but not enough to give me points for English Language. Please I would just like to know regions I can apply to. I have 4 years experience.

Visit www.anzscosearch.com/search to check the state nominating your occupation.

Thanks for the heads up. The draw was conducted on the 10th and 90 points and above got ITA.

As much as your points are valid, I'll also like to add that for everyone whose occupation is currently not being nominated and you have the required points especially for 491, if you can do the assessment, please do it. Some occupations get filled up within 24 hours when the states may decide to open your occupations.

I believe the states are just testing waters with the 491 visa. More nominations would come in soon for offshore applicants.

Good luck to everyone.

No risk as long as it is genuine.

If it's not, it will be best to just create online presence with google

Good news for Vetassess and ACS Applicants.

https://www.iscah.com/important-change-work-experience-points/

We are waiting for official statement from these two bodies and DHA.
Bro do you think that those that have assessed already can benefit from this. A year was deducted by vetassess from my experience years. Do you think i should add the one year in filling my EOI. The one year will give me additional 5 points and the additional point will go a long way in getting nomination on time. Thanks.
