The boil infection, cause u said she has fever, might've been caused by folliculitis, caused by injury to her scalp. Another evidence is that u said her hair is not growing evenly. Its likely from traumatic alopecia. Injury or wound to the scalp (traumatic alopecia) is likey caused by TIGHT braiding. Like someone alluded to. Me as an adult, i cant even let Nigerians braid my hair. Talkless of a baby. Wash her hair and condition it. N LEAVE it alone.

Go to the doctor's just to make sure something hasnt gone wrong that time n better hair care techniques can not take care of. Im so mad cause i see Africans forcing hair braiding on children, all in the name of 'beauty' or their hair is too nappy. Na wa for una. Na the hair is not coming. U see ur life?

Let me tell you, there was a time I had boil, I had gone to hospital, taken drugs... Spent over 30,000 naira but this small boil was still shiny and refuse to go. Bought various drugs some where 2500 to 3000. Taken antibiotics.

I had to go to two medical labs still saying same thing and the drugs and injection they prescribed could not do anything.

I had to search online, search for similar images online and I landed here on nairaland. And I saw where one girl like that suffered from same issue and called the drugs she used.... I went to the store to get it for just 350 naira and 3 days that boil dried up... Its over 3 years now.

So don't ask people not to discuss their problems here, it will help thousands if not million of people some day.

Even most doctors do prescribe drugs based on similar cases they have handled before

lol,.my hospital doctors that does Google search on their PC is symptoms you list don pass them

I have seen them severally

It's intense weather that cause it.
Pls do not panic in any way.

.

This is what my grandmother called "Gbidingbidin" back then ! You need to get 'Imi ojo'' ,that is Sulphur in English, and Ori- shea butter.. Grind the sulphur and mix with the shea butter and gently apply on your beautiful daughter's head. She will be fine within two weeks. Don't forget to give a shout-out to my grandma aka Iya Benin of blessed memory after.

Please help diagnose this thing on my daughter's head. That thing looks like small small boils all over her head. It pains her alot and she doesnt want anyone to touch her head especially when bathing. She 3yrs old, eats well and very active.

It started 4 days ago and progressed to this stage.

Other Sypmtoms include:

She doesnt sleep well at night becauese of pains on her head.

High temp especially around 1am-5am ( we have been using paracetamol to calm bown the temp)

Little rashes on her neck and lower back.

Her hair doesnt grow evenly (though we have noticed this for a while)

My Son has this same rash not long ago... took him to a skin hospital in Maiduguri, they gave us micoteen cream an antibiotic and a powdered bathing substance to bath the child with.. the doc advice I shave his hair totally to allow the bathing substance to take effect.. (he said its dirt) the rash disappear within a week.

Take her to a good herbal shop.. when they see her they will give you the herbs to cook for her to make the internal ones come to the surface.. after two to three days of giving her the herbs, the pox or whatever will multiply then you start applying any cream suggested above to kill the surfacing pox.
