Mike Ozekhome, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has said that the supreme court judgement declaring Hope Uzodinma winner of the 2019 Imo governorship election, should be analysed to see if there is justice in it,

On Tuesday, Ihedioha who the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared winner of the election was sacked by a seven-man panel of the Supreme Court after Uzodinma, who came fourth, challenged the outcome of the election in court.

Reacting in a statement, Ozekhome said the supreme court decision was final but analysts must check whether the judgement was delivered according to the law.

He said, “There is ordinarily a presumption by the society that the supreme court, being the final court of the land, is supposed to be right in its decisions, after rigorous and painstaking perusal of cases brought before it between feuding parties."

“However, the next stage is for legal pundits, analysts and academicians, to dissect the judgement thoroughly, to decipher if it met the justice of the case, having regard to the available facts. I do not have these facts, not being one of the counsel in the appeal. They must interrogate whether the judgement actually delivered justice according to law.

“After all, law is but a handmaid instituted by man to deliver justice. The two are siamese twins. One without the other is bare and vacuous. One area that needs critical analysis and interrogation is what makes a candidate that came 4th in an election to be declared the winner of that election. Another area that requires an urgent answer is why INEC has so failed the nation that presidents and governors are now being packaged and delivered for the country and states, against the clear choice of the electorate at the polls.

“If INEC got its acts right, the judiciary’s frequent interventions would have been greatly minimised. Today, INEC is neither independent, impartial, nor well equipped to count the electorate’s votes and also allow such votes to count. That is the sorry state we are in today, especially since 2015. May God help Nigeria.”

Forget religion, ethnicity, tribe and political affiliation, no nation deserves Tanko as its CJN.
And with Tanko as CJN the supreme court can declare Buhari president even if doesn't contest 2023

The BIG question begging answer is if ALL the votes from the 388 Polling Units that were wrongly excluded ONLY belongs to Uzodinma.

Any analysis is useless for now.
The judge has carried out a successful daylight robbery for the APC ....
I'm yet to find any reasonable reason from a sensible fellow on how one man who gathered just about 96 , 000 votes in the previous results released by the inec , miraculously got 200,000 votes from 388 polling units , did everybody in these polling units , vote for hope ?
And looking at the figure how come the election was declared conclusive...
These are the questions sane people should be asking and not jubilating over a statement from an insider named mbaka !!!!!

Some Nigerians are celebrating evil - APC will mess this country up big time because the evil people are supporting today will become a way of life in future and it will be extremely difficult to redeem Nigeria . They removed Ihedioha just like that and replaced him with a man that came 4th.

However, never joke with Father Mbaka. The prophecy was actually revealed to him. Nobody bribed him. God only revealed to Mbaka what was going to happen to Ihedioha. It might be good or bad. But Ihedioha didn't pray against the prophecy. If he had prayed against it, many people would have said Father Mbaka is a false Prophet. So, believe it or not, nobody bribed Mbaka. He said what he saw and what he said came to pass.

I am yet to understand how this thing worked but I'm sure in the coming days, we will be able to get a clearer picture of what really transpired and how it transpired but for now let the argument continue.

May God just answer our prayers this 2020 that'll make everybody (both our doubters and supporters) drool with questions like how did this happen or is this really him or his lookalike.

Good morning Nigerians

Yes, it should be thoroughly analysed. But, that should be after religiously and legally analyzing the Zamfara judgement which nullified all the seats won by APC and gave them all to the losers and also Rivers judgement which stopped APC from contesting in the election thereby giving all elective positions to the PDP free of votes.

The Supreme Court, just like the National Assembly, is simply a rubberstamp of the Executive.
If not explain how a candidate who was fourth in the last election, losing by close to 200,000 votes, is now declared the winner of the election.

And if you want to quote me to talk about the 'cancelled polling units" don't be naive. Other candidates would have also gotten votes from those units.

What these judges do these days is 'judicial abracadabra' after receiving directives from FG.

Emotional Blackmailing the Supreme Court. Mike maliciously decided not to take cognisant the restored vote count which the court stood on and proclaimed.

People like him are destroying our country with distortion of truth. Instead of acknowledging the restoration of canceled vote which initially push Uzodima to 4th, he chose to ejaculate nonesense as press discharge

Oga, which analysis do u want again after S'Court verdict? Surely, it was against expectation that Hope would overtake no 1, 2, and 3 to become the Governor-elect.

The reason is that the result from the 388 cancelled polling units was 213,295. The Supreme Court added it to the initial 96,458 of Hope Uzodinma. Hope then got a total of 309, 753.
