Lols it was 21 weeks late last year I was surprised to see 12 weeks today

Your wife needs to show enough ties to Nigeria that will compel.her return. U need to show evidence that u are a dull time student with enough for yr living expenses. Yr wife will show enough funds, I think its 10k for the 3 of them.

Dear Justwise, it is unfortunate that you were so quick to close a thread started on this topic. I know you know a great deal about Canada visas however, not all visas fall under student visa which I believe you have become an expert. There are different types of work permits for working in Canada.
Here are some types that I know of:
SOWP: for spouses of people already in Canada
Open work permit: No restriction on jobs you can apply to and you are not a spouse.
Closed work permit: You need LMIA and must only work for a specific employer.
LMIA Exempt Work Permit: Mostly for people who have been nominated for Permanent residency in a Canadian Province but need a work permit to resume work before PR processing is complete. You are given a work permit letter along with your provincial nomination certificate.

There are some of us who may have a PR application in progress but also have a work permit application in progress. We cannot benefit from the information in the Visitors, Students (Travelling to Canada) and Federal Skill workers program. I have a PR in progress but it is not even under Federal Skill workers/Express Entry.

Anyway, I think this thread (SOWP) applicants is close enough to contain information that might be relevant to our case, though my Work permit is not SOWP. Please do not Close this thread!

We just want to seek other means. I need sincere answers as I have questions to ask about this visitors Visa. 1. Do we need to apply fr a visitor Visa 2. How can we get a job 3 can we continue our pr application process while on this and also after the visa has been approved 4 what are the benefits of work permit Visa eg are we going to benefit from health insurance and some little benefits before pr comes. We want to try this route cs the only option now is gettn an employment or have an experience in Canada dat will go a long way in boosting our crs scores as we don't have any relative whatsoever. Plz I will like this questions to be answered as it will give us an headway in our plans. Thanks in advance.

Which route do u want to try? For work permit, u need a job offer first. For sowp, u need a spouse who works or schools on Canada. I dont know how u can get a Canada job from Nigeria though. All the best. Have u thought of the study route?
