@ streetsoldier1 ; Best Profession and one of the highest paying jobs in UK is....Teaching...

Either Xmas and new year holiday, mid term holiday, summer holiday, muslim holidays, etc ... You are always paid a full month salary....

QTS is the required licence to practice as a Professional teacher in England while GTCS is for Professional Teacher in scotland. With TRCN from Nigeria, teaching experience and research work in Education, you have upper chance to be considered by the Professional body for registration, but don't know if it's possible for CIE or CDPQ...

Ok, noted, will do as advised

Good Morning Stenon,

Please my wife has TRCN cert and she just graduated waiting for NYSC...

She studied B.ed Political science...

What step will she take to be able to work in the UK as a teacher?

Thanks for your time...
Thanks. I think the best advice for her is to finish her NYSC and then specialise in other aspect of Education like Psychology of Education that's common to all levels of Education. I don't think Political Education is in Primary, secondary or college level curriculum. Except for Uni

hank you very much for your insight to all the gurus in the building.

I will like to ask Cv-library asking for my UK resident address before i can continue with my search, am presently in Lagos still looking out for certificate of sponsor.

Please i need a more flexible website to continue my search.
Civil engineering.

Thanking you in advance
God bless you all
Stop looking at CV- library for now.

Please Download the form on this link and search for the company name related to your discipline . Search on google for each company name and look for their email address/phone number ... compose a mail with your qualifications and working experience. Tell them you are looking for job and you are from Nigeria so you will need tier 2 work visa sponsorship. Wait back for their response or give them a phone call as reminder and let me know what they say.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/register-of-licensed-sponsors-workers

Please if you don't mind, You can send me a format of the mail here before sending them by using acronym xyz to block your details and I will proofread for you.
Wishing you all the best

This is actually the first time I’m hearing that teaching is a one of several highest paying UK jobs. I have always thought that highest paying UK jobs normally have an average minimum STARTING salary of at least £40,000. I’m guessing most teachers start at way below that salary.

The top 10 highest paying jobs which you don’t need a degree for

Don’t have the time or money to get a BA? If spending years in further education doesn’t sound appealing to you, there are other options available. A third of students regret going to university, listing reasons of debt and lack of jobs as the cause. The truth is, you don’t necessarily need years and years of studying to get well paid jobs.

Several career paths benefit from gaining experience over education. Many of these jobs come complete with good pay and lots of opportunity for growth, making them a sound career choice.

Whether you’re looking for a career change, or you’re new to the job field, we’ve found the best paid jobs that you can start with minimal training.

Here we showcase the top 10 high paying jobs with no experience. There are vast numbers of careers where skills and training are favoured over the traditional education route.

1. Firefighter
Firefighters can earn up to £40,000 per year, depending on their rank. Managers can earn around the £30,000 mark, while Station Managers may collect upwards of 40k. To start, you’ll need to pass written exams and aptitude tests. You have to be fit too – a number of physical exams are included as part of the selection process.

2. Police Constable
As a Police Officer, there’s a variety of different roles you can do, and it’s not all about being out on the streets fighting crime directly. Salaries start at around £20,000 with the potential for growth of £45,000 and upwards for Sergeants. If you move into Inspector territory as your career progresses, you can expect up to £50,000.

3. Entrepreneur
You don’t technically need any qualifications to become a Business Owner – just a huge amount of drive, determination and a brilliant idea. With one in 10 Brits dreaming of owning their own businesses, what you earn will depend on how successful you are.

4. Train and Tram Drivers
Newly-qualified Train Drivers can earn up to £25,000, while experienced ones take home up to £50,000. There are some great benefits too, like free and discounted rail travel.

5. Training Managers
Training Managers conduct training programs for employers in a variety of different sectors. The national Training Manager salary is £37,000, with the potential for more, depending on the company.

6. Project Manager
Project Managers can work in a variety of different fields and are essentially responsible for making sure the project is successful. Roles include planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting. The average salary is around £40,000 depending on the area and location.

7. Air traffic Controllers
There’s no degree needed here, but you will need three years’ training to obtain your air traffic control licence from the National Air Traffic Services (NATS), and have five GCSEs (grades A-C) behind you. Starting salaries are £17,000 to £21,000, while experienced Controllers can reach up to £50,000 depending on where you work and shift allowances.

8. Sales Managers
Sales Managers are responsible for leading their team towards a certain sales goal. You’ll need excellent IT skills, alongside the ability to lead a team. Basic salaries start at £18,000 and can reach a potential of £100,000 – and more.

9. Construction Manager
Being a Construction Manager involves having good leadership and communication skills in order to coordinate and supervise projects. Although some of the work can be done from the office, this role also means working on site – in all weather. On the plus side, Construction Managers can earn upwards of £50,000.

10. Hazardous-Waste Manager
It might not sound appealing at first glance, but managers in this field can expect to receive upwards of £36,000 to get rid of company’s hazardous by-products that come from hospitals and factories. The level of skill required to do this role makes it incredibly lucrative.

I am a qualified Teacher and on full time I earn more than that. I am just earning the equivalent of its 20 hours for part time till I finish my dissertation.

Dont get me wrong Teaching is a Noble profession and yes you cant compare the salary of a teacher in UK to the salary of a teacher in Nigerian. ... some private schools in warri pays teachers 15k a month

But is exaggeration to say Teaching is one of the highest paid in UK. It is not at all . Also teachers are worked very hard here as well.

Its still one of the highest paying jobs in UK.

Mentioning one of the Highest paying jobs doesn't mean top 10 or 20 as some have been posting it here. One of the highest can be top 30 or whatever .

Happy Sunday children of God,

Please help with recommendation on an affordable homestay in Leeds where I can put up with my dependents till we rent an apartment.

Also a reliable rental agency or contact will be appreciated.

Advise/ tips on how to navigate and settling down soon when we arrive in 2 weeks time will be highly appreciated, as am tensed and having hbp on how to go about things with family.

Warm regards to you all.

@Stenon, thanks for your insight into teaching profession in the UK. I am glad to learn that teachers are well paid in UK.
Please,my wife studied management education in University with 3.3 cpg and will finish her NYSC by next month. We plan on relocating to the UK anytime soon this year, she will come on a dependent tier 2 visa.
1)Are there programs or exam she can do in Nigeria before she comes over to increase her chances of a teaching job or she has to do them in UK?
2) What type subjects can she fit in with management education degree and at what level of school: primary, secondary or tertiary
3) Will her staying back in Nigeria till she obtains masters be of any advantage in the UK?
I am in the medical line and we discussed on her possibly diverting to nursing if the prospect of teachers in UK is poor. I know she would prefer to remain in teaching if the pay is good. Seeing your post sort of raised my hope for her.
Thanks.

Welcome to scotland and hope you are enjoying the weather ? wink

You start by applying for any available job at Edinburgh.
Then you can think of applying for online tutor via tutorful.com while processing your Teaching Licence with the Graduate Teaching Council of Scotland.
Do you have TRCN?

Let her finish her NYSC, hope she is teaching at her PPA?

1. Yes, TRCN.
2. Yes, Primary, secondary plus College level
3. No need for MSc now as I am not even using my MSc for any application.
Experience and TRCN is all that's needed now
But MSc in management will help her attain the Leadership role as HOD or head teacher after few years of working .

To practice as a nurse here, you need to pay for training and certifications, but as a qualified Teacher from Nigeria, no training or schooling is required except some CPD training while on the job.
Peace !
