Negative divergence or not just agree that you left the market too early. Most stocks has gained between 15 to 30% from your exit price and are still oscillating within that price range.

There were percentages for you to sell down to.

Gradually I incensed the percentage of cash holding.

Smart guys will sell in percentages. I still have 1 banking stock I sold high and it is yet to recover. All others, I sold in percentages. At every high point, I was selling.

You don't just dump and sell at a price.

Sell in tranches. I only pity newbies who listen to those of you calling for a buy.

The whole market just hit a resistance. If this is not broken, down it goes.

We are waiting for it to break. Then the market move on. I am in strong stocks and

my margin of safety is quite good. No shaking or panicking here grin

I am not envious. grin

I just need to keep cash. You keep stocks. Stocks are cheaper now,try and buy more.

Market is for everyone! Just choose your strategy/style and consistently stick to it regardless of the market conditions! Ever wondered why Warren Buffet is so successful? Cos he consistently stick to his value + GARP style down the years. no shifting one bit even during the dot-com boom... likewise Carl Ichan with his aggressive activist and exploitative style...

I stand to be corrected the market is not for everyone, it is not everybody that have the temperament and attitude to succeed in the stock market.

Investment is for everyone, it is your temperament that will determine the one that suits you, that is why we have the stock market, bond, treasury bills, small businesses etc

If another bear should come now,it's gonna be a longer one.Better to hold cash and come back at the end of the bears.

I am only seeing few stocks making a decent move this year.Just few

No need to hold if you have cash generating assets or investments.

I might not be good in TA, but my gut/instinct notified me about this info. Reason i had to quickly sell my FBNH at 7.35.
One can always buy later. Cash is king.

My guys I am advising sold FBN at 7.7, UBA at 9+, Access between 11.20 to 12.

Even Wigwe sold lower(10+) grin

Boss, most of my "preaching" has really been on patience. That Nsempas should not panic sell cos everyone is running and some members pressing panic button.
You've taught us a lot that I was wondering if your handle was hacked or something, considering your recent submissions. Apologies sir.
Some actually bought below N7, so if they sell, they would still be selling at profit, so running together with such guys for those who bought higher is disastrous, especially for we newbies. smiley

You know why I personally wasnt comfortable with Oga Rabbi's submissions was that, he encouraged people to key-in to these banking stocks, even when Agba and some few others were saying otherwise, more people went with him.
......but what happened? He made a sudden U-turn, thereby making some to lose some fund out of Panic.
He should understand that quite some people believed in him so much.
When Agba was saying opposite, maybe if he had looked well into it, it wouldnt have been like this.
Just saying though.

Key into stocks in bearish season. This is a plus. Most guys that follow me are on profit. They buy low. Most accumulated durinh August low. So seeing there is a sign of things that I am not comfortable with in this bullish ride, I had to prepare to exit.

Lose fund out of panic? Hope you are not the one? Because those following me bought low. We all bought low.

My message is for some people. They know themselves.

Well, since the stock market is no more sounding bullish,I have sold all stocks leaving only Wapco for either defence or rally.

I am no more comfortable with NSE stocks.
If Access bank is affected in price, what is the fate of other younger banks in price rally?

Dividend payout is the only hope in the market now as gurus don badmouth almost all the good stocks and seriously prices of those good stocks are coming down.

Xtaday WAPCO traded N17.80 and closed N17:35. Today there is serious cross deals cum consolidation going on between #16.80 and N17:00. with over 8million units traded so far.

If you are already in better don't be shaken out if not its an opportunity to get on board afterwards our next port of call is #19 region.

We did it with FBNH
We did it UACN.

How can you japa your stock as CEO and probably buy them back @ lower price with your proxies? just wondering about the wonders of NSE, its "insider" mkt participants etc. Bottom line, if not on the inside in this mkt, you are majorly shooting in the dark as a long term investor or just plain luckying…. grin Except you are a Marlian - contrarian, aggressive price actionist, momentum trader and the likes! cool

I have great admiration for Agba and Onifa(lol). You cannot follow the two of them and regret. It is the after-effects of our actions that sometimes make us feel that we have missed out on long gains. It is not every time that one will be lucky to exit at the peak. Sometimes you even press the panic button too early, the koko is that you do not lose money.

Buffet doesn't apply here in a scenario of herds mentality. Try to long a good fundamental stock here for long term and see whether you will not end your journey back in the bus stop, like travelling on the earth on a perceived straight line. Here is a place where every stock is bullish during bullish season. I made the most profit in my portfolio from an illiquid stock that made 1% in it's last financial statement!

1. If you fancy yourself to be a trader grin, and you don't want to act based on the "noise" and can't read charts for yourself either, now is the time to set a stop loss price......and regardless of what your emotions tell you, activate it once the price drops to that level (different price for different folks).

2. If you fancy yourself to be an investor, and have a beyond 12 months time horizon, you should probably hold on and watch the market closely. You still need to set an informed and well considered stop loss price, perhaps less aggressive than the one you set if you are 1 above. I still think the good stocks over the next 24 months should deliver good HPRs.

3. If your stock is subject to market manipulation, I have no advise for you. What watching the market tells me is that nothing lasts forever.

Selling right as Buffet-esque investor is also a strategy. You don't have to see tight even as a Value investor. Once, the stock is overvalued or the fundamentals of the stock's underlying business have deteriorated, you sell nicely and hold on to cash like Buffet has done numerously. It works perfectly anywhere in a scenario of herds mentality as you pointed out. Just stick to your style!

More reason, why I trade with momentums on NSE. Even the anticipated N2.50 dividends Zenith would be paying for FY2019, I have already taken my own from the market this year. Sub-optimal in this market to wait for the declaration date. Hoping to repeat the cycle at least twice before the declaration date... That's my style re. Zenith. And I stick to it, at least the last 5 years now...

You have said it time and time again. No point repeating yourself, otherwise, you would become a bore. Once you took your decision, just observe and stop talking. I so much respect your strategic ideology, which doesn't come cheap.

I also sold since early last week when it became crucial for me to enjoy the victory of having my gains in my pocket instead of leaving it in the tempest of rascally waves and started looking out for another opportunity. A vulture is a patient bird.
