ABA is 45 minutes drive to PH. There is no difference between these two locations. Owerri is an hours drive to PH no difference. These geographical location was created to cause disunity. And I wonder how SS and SE affects your daily bread.

Of course it has to be business but that business is about to favor a region. Do you have problems with that?
Openbusiness:
Who are they deceiving? Lol! Is it not APM that runs Apapa wharf, and APM is the owner and parent company of Maersk Line? So they just want to control both ends, purely business, not like they want to do south south a favor.

After reading this I just smiled, one Nigeria my foot. You are worry they are switching to Port abi because of manufacturing companies over there and the so called increase in haulage, that will affect

But you see nothing wrong for companies, business man from far east and south paid that expensive price to pick up there goods from Lagos. You never complain and suggest that fg should find way to make other port accessible for people in fat distance. Just from his speech alone you understand this one Nigeria is just big scam.

If things had been restructured in Nigeria Lagos won't be congested, because all the 5 ports in Nigeria will be working fine, every thing working fine.

The usual chest beaters are are always happy and welcoming the wrong things.

This company is not going anywhere and on top of that, Lekki Deep Seaport, the best and the largest in West Africa is only 2 years away.

Lagos is still and shall remain the main Port of call in Nigeria and West Africa .

Even Badagry deep seaport is in the horizon.

it cannot come to end. More sea ports are needed to ease congestion in lagos port. lagos port cannot serve 180million nigeria. Development of other ports is good national economy and it will never affect lagos economy in anyway.

Osus are born hateful cowards, they celebrate anything they think brings Yoruba down, they run the Government of Nigeria with the north for several years and they are here crying again. Who God has blessed no man can curse. Yoruba land is ahead of Osuland naturally. International waters, e dey, International boundary e dey, arable agricultural land, e dey, crude oil e dey. Every omoluabi should be grateful to God, despite the ever increasing Osu hatred, we are still waxing stronger.

This is clear evidence , that Yoruba people don't want a workable seaport and international airport across Niger bridge... Why are they panicking over ordinary seaport

This is good but the road from Onne to Port Harcourt is a death trap. There is a bridge at Eleme about to cut into two. Also anytime there is movement of equipment on that road, traffic gridlock occurs for hours. Something should be done about that road, if not, goods at Onne will be stranded.

Shut up!

Any sort of link between the so called south-south and south-east makes you break out in a sweat! Why is that?

Someone is talking of Onne being a better option for Igbo importers and you’re already showing your insecurities by asking dumb questions!

If he is happy, then what level of happiness does he want d people of Rivers to have? Also, Igbo States aren't d only states that share border with Rivers or are close to PH. Welcome to Lekki Port, a multi-purpose, ultra modern deep sea port located in the Lagos Free Trade Zone, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

If you think a local port in One or any region is about to dethrone Lagos or take away any shipping business, you are sadly mistaken.

Obasanjo was NEVER in charge of Port-Harcourt.

The Government of Rivers State led by
Naval Lt. Commander Afred Papapreye Diete-Spiff was in charge of Port Harcourt from 1967-1975.

Also remember that Obasanjo was in charge of Port Harcourt after the end of cease fire. Also remember that Port Harcourt was the only place where there was an abandoned property saga.

I have maintained that my restructure in Nigeria should be strictly infrastructural in nature. It shall start with the building of Lagos in the defunct eastern region and Abuja in the defunct Midwestern region of Nigeria. If Port Harcourt or Opobo or even Ibaka is elevated to half the level of economical infrastructure found in Lagos, the noise about Lagos will see a sudden death. If the economic infrastructure found in Abuja is situated in Warri or Sapale or Asaba, the issue born-to-rule will disappear and patriotism shall flourish.

Lekki is bound to sink. The area is mostly a reclaimed land. It is not a place for national economic foothold.

Everyone from SE/SS must support this and make it work. Anyone who wants the progress of that region must not attack their vessels on the high seas. They have always complained of security issues around that side. Its time to encourage them by showing that the region is safe to do business. Asari should speak to his people.

The so-called SS dudes have been in a long moronic slumber induced by a deceitful neighbor.

Lekki Deep Seaport will decongest Apapa port, but it's going to be decongestant by another port in Lagos, not by any other port outside Lagos.

Lagos state saw this coming hence initiating another deep seaport to take care of that problem and also to service LFTZ and products from the massive Dangote refinery and fertilizer complex.

Btw, why won't shippers and ancillary services shift to the deepest, the largest deep seaport with the best and modern facilities in West Africa?

This is strictly business, not emotions and sentiments.

Lagos is not sleeping on duty.

Lagos is still very much a slum. When i see Lagos on tv in this part world and sometimes, unfortunately with normal people, i do tend to wish the ground will open up and swallow me that I come from a world like that where common sense is not applicable in everyday life. The whole place looks like a piggery and people just go about there businesses like it is normal.

Yesterday there was a documentary on BBC 2 about the unsustainable increase of the world population and Lagos is one of the examples they use to show what happens when people breed without common sense
Onitsha is another example of a city that is groaning under the weight of decay and government neglect.

Ports in Nigeria are never the charge of governor of a state. Federal government of Nigeria has always being in charge of Nigerian ports. Neither Obasanjo nor Diete-Spiff was in charge of the port in Igweocha.
