0monnak0da:Some kids would just never give up, they think a war is just like a war game on their appliances, a war that the older generation who went through it have vowed never to see such again. |

If you're an Easterner then you need to understand your people. We are not trying to leave Nigeria out of hatred, No! Its because Nigeria promotes mediocrity, injustice and lack of equity. We cannot become a developed nation like Europe and US , Canada if we maintain the status quo. Dont you have national ambition? Area4Area: |
Re: Full Text Of The Aburi Accord by Area4Area: 10:27pm On Jan 24, 2020 |
DMerciful:Nigeria will not survive another civil war but Biafra would, lol, please go and sleep. By the time Nigeria restricts entry of everything in your Biafra, you'd know how far, it happened before. Remember that all Biafrans would've been officially expelled from Nigeria to move into Biafra and go fight the war. You better move into surrounding countries whenever Biafra is declared if you would want to survive that war you've always yearned for |

DMerciful:Honestly I sincerely do not mean to insult you but you reason, not just you many Biafra advocates, like children. Why were you not saying all this before GEJ lost.? You will not rouse Yoruba into a foolish misadventure with your twisted sophistry . Even if you believe all that nonsense you need to learn how to edit what you say. We are disciplined and patient . So we can wait another 50 years. Whereas you lack patience and will always act impulsively like Nnamdi Kanu and Ojukwu Our strategy is to avoid war and if your strategy is war then you are our enemies It is that stark. As a group you do not understand the reality of Nigeria but focus on your sense of injustice as if that is a plan. For now as far as we are concerned restructuring is the only game in town. No one is leaving peacefully So if you have any sense either align with restructuring or prepare for war. 1 Like |

DMerciful:Singapore, Malaysia both were granted independence by the Brits, both decided to form a single country because Singapore felt they were so small to stand alone and also because of a common defense with a bigger country, Malaysia. After some ideological differences which couldn't be sorted out after some years of being together, the union was dissolved. Indonesia had earlier proclaimed its independence from the Dutch years before and was never a part of the union |

You dont mean to insult but you insulted, no wahala. Concerning restructuring which is better than nothing, Southwesterners were the biggest proponents of restructuring in the late 90s and early 2000s. Igbos were talking Biafra through massob then but immediately Igbos embrace restructuring move which started from the 2014 confab, Yorubas who were advocates of restructuring started withdrawing and telling everyone that restructuring is of the mind. Now that the Yorubas are largely in the government, how far with restructuring? Let's be honest with ourselves! 0monnak0da: |
Re: Full Text Of The Aburi Accord by 0monnak0da: 10:40pm On Jan 24, 2020 |
Area4Area:The problem with that approach is that they lose out on two fronts. They lose relevance in Nigerian politics whilst moving further from realisation of Biafra. |

kettykings:How many arms and ammunition had already been allocated and the number allocated? Who commands the various commands of the federation, aka the commander in chief, or was each region expected to have its own military? Who will do the reorganisation and using what criteria? How is this different from what was already existing? The regions will be under the control of area Commanders Military Governors will control area Commanders again, is this not duplication? More duplication of duties. Maybe I should be saying quadriplication What concerns Ojukwu with the west. Never knew the west were invited to Ghana to discuss the aburi according. Continuation of Power greed by the military, which led to the conflict in the first place. The Military officers abrogation executive and legislative powers to themselves. As I always believed the 1966 conflicts were about power grabs by the military and within the military, the civilians were only unfortunate to be caught in the middle. Confusion galore. Since the constitution had been suspended and the regions converted to states by general Ironsi, how would Nigeria be governed if all previous decrees were repealed? |

Re: Full Text Of The Aburi Accord by 0monnak0da: 10:56pm On Jan 24, 2020 |
DMerciful: I am sorry if it is an insult. But exactly what I mean when I say you reason like children is your fixation on wrong and injustice rather than a solution with a plan that can actually work. Yoruba do not have to explain themselves to you We do not see you as rational actors . Take your statement that in 2023 you will rather have a Fulani than Yoruba president? This would make sense if it would help you achieve your goals. It is a childish petulant posture. We see you like the biblical woman who would rather have the baby cut in two than for her neighbour' to keep the baby We are not pursuing restructuring because we hate Fulani or seek revenge. We believe that it is to our benefit You folk are motivated by bitterness You somehow see secession as a way of punishing Nigeria and would like very much to see Hausa and Yoruba on their knees This clouds your sense of reality. The Nigeria we want will take a long time but we will get there. After that we can think of Biafra etc but that is a 50 year project The question is how to conduct affairs in the meantime Stay disciplined and patient or do an Nnamdi Kanu to get noticed 1 Like |

DMerciful:Getting a Biafra is a good cause but it must be done in a way not to hurt millions of Igbo lives on the line, I can bet that majority of Igbos on nairaland do not stay in Igboland, have you asked yourself about their fate when they'd be declared foreigners and made to go back to Biafra to get their papers and visas to reenter Nigeria? Do you realise that your Biafra would be majorly the present SE and the SS minorities would've been stripped off Biafra? You'd be surrounded by Nigeria and she determines what comes in and goes out of Biafra? |

Area4Area:Lol quite predictably you conclude I'm a kid, not that I was expecting any different from you. I can tell this much, online talk aside, the things I've seen and done, places I've gone and feats I've accomplished, you CAN NEVER even in your wildest imaginations replicate. Let me just leave it at that. |

brightokechukwu:Typical Igbo boastfulness This is an anonymous forum You have no way of knowing what others have accomplished. Be humble, I know that is a big ask for Igbos but try. Since we are not going to verify your trip to Mars or your conversion of water to pure Rioja why bring it up. That seems quite immature and insecure 1 Like |

We do not see seccession as punishment to Nigerians, not at all. In fact we have the potential of loosing a lot of investment so the decision is not being taken lightly. In actual fact Igbos are being punished for the civil war till tomorrow and it's the treatment that made the current Igbo man who wasnt born during the war bitter. Inspite of that they are more integrated in all parts of Nigeria than any other group. Secession for us will make us swift in pursuing a particular part of progress. We are ok with restructuring but other are unwilling, what we see as urgent, others dont see the urgency, that the difference! 0monnak0da: |

Re: Full Text Of The Aburi Accord by DMerciful(m): 11:13pm On Jan 24, 2020 |
What if some minorities say they want to be part of Biafra? Those Igbos in other parts of Nigeria, there will give period of transition probably 5yrs so everything can be negotiated, it mustn't be war. Or we can have a confederation but we cannot allow Nigeria to remain as it is currently structured, it helps no one, not even the Hausa-Fulanis Area4Area: |
Re: Full Text Of The Aburi Accord by 0monnak0da: 11:13pm On Jan 24, 2020 |
DMerciful:This is just naive and dishonest Where was this Igbo bitterness whilst GEJ was in power? You naively believe there would be a clean break from Nigeria without taking the Niger Delta? You do not see the loss of the Niger Delta as punishing the North? You expect them to just roll over? Sir there is no way that dream can happen peacefully Rather I see a genocidal war ending with the reintroduction of colonial powers in the region Once again regretfully I must say you are talking like a child That scenario would cost tens of millions of lives and is very irresponsible. It is not my job to change you So when you are ready start the war 1 Like |
