It will count. If and only if you got a legit license number in the frsc database. They usually collect the license from you and send it for verification

Provided it was an "original" license in the first place.

no, it starts counting from the day you registered for the license

I'm landing in Toronto next month too. I opted for EgyptAir. They had the best price for my prefered flight date. I advise you get the apps for EgyptAir and Ethiopian Airlines and see which one has a better deal and then proceed to book your flight on the app. It's pretty much seamless.

A day's journey shouldn't be spent in an eventful airline. I have used Ethiopian before and loved it, like any intl airline but last March dey make me fear.

My friend (post ppr but not landed) just realised he made a mistake of not including some of his family members while submitting the EE application due to network problems (he said). I understand the major implication of such error is the inability to sponsor the omitted siblings/parents in future but he also fear it could be deemed as misrepresentation. How true is this, please?
Notwithstanding, how can this be rectified, if possible at all, and how can he go about it?

I used Egypt air to US in 2017 and I had a good experience. The lay overs on both legs of the journey was spent in a 5 star hotel with a buffet. I even got a day's visa to tour the city and the pyramids (I paid for that )
The last March experience you talked about, Egypt air had experienced it also in the past. No fear, just pray for protection and all will be well.

Hi, as long as the immigrant has the right papers, wether as a PR holder or via work permit, you can get a Social Insurance Number. With your SIN, you are free to drive with Uber and pursue other jobs. All the best to you.

First and foremost set aside your emergency fund(this should be enough for 3-6months if you had no other source of income).. around 10K is good for this. Put this in a High Interest Savings Account

Check how much contribution you have in your TFSA and RRSP via CRA website , fill that up and then purchase index funds that appeal to you OR if you don’t want to stress yourself at all get a Roboadvisor that will invest for you . Any interest through this means is tax free or tax deferred

Do the same with whatever is left except this time you’re not tax sheltered..

Once the money grows a bit start looking into real estate, buy somewhere you can renovate and start renting out
