Blindersoff:Is true sir. What I am trying to let you know is that our government do not care about us and you included! There only priority is to win the next election. They are only active when the international community starts asking questions. Sir, don't compare system as practise in America to the one practise here in Nigeria. Their system is active and working but here its not. Their system have made it such that an Average American live is as valued as the lives of the rich but in Nigeria the opposite is the case. |

Blindersoff:Get a rebuttal of the statistic that the OP mentioned from the embassy first. Your enquiry has been noted. |

Izigha:Look, what is there not to believe about the OP's post? Why must he post his picture and identity before Nigeria would evacuate its people? You guys should concentrate on the main issue and stop deviating from it. |

Johnsinia:I am an American and I am trying to steer a lot of you here right who feel that certain questions are not necessary. If you avoid answering those questions today, sometime down the line in the future you would have need to revisit those questions and be forced to answer them. We are too nonchalant with everything as Nigerians and expect the government should spoon-feed us in everything when we should know what is right to do for our own peace of mind. My British friend has lived in Gambia for 20 years but he makes it a point of duty to always report at his embassy in Banjul every 6 months and those times he changed addresses he would always update his information with them. They have his current phone numbers and current address. This is not our practice as Nigerians. We act like we have to be forced to do what we already know is the right thing Once there is danger all the UK embassy needs to do is either send out an email or text message or directly call all of their citizens with information on where to go, what to do and when help is arriving. That is the power of information gathering and giving and this is why it appears Americans or the British value their citizens more. It is simply because their citizens are willing TO GIVE information to them. When you travel, if you have not, imbibe this culture and do not be like those who feel it is unnecessary |

trilobite:You are not serious. Same as the OP. Is this about a rebuttal or actually assisting you with evacuation? What the hell is wrong with you guys? How can I get a rebuttal when I have nothing to present? |

| Re: Coronavirus: Evacuating Nigerians In Wuhan, China, The Facts by GumGum: 11:14am On Feb 02, 2020 |
Blindersoff:Come, are you the one who will evacuate them? People on ground zero are scared and seeking help from their government. They say they have reached out to the government and the embassy has acknowledged them. Only for them to hear an announcement that they are only 16 in Wuhan, hence their cause for concern. Why do you find it hard to believe or accept that these complaints are from people in Wuhan? Do you like to argue for the sake of it or are you just bored this Sunday morning? Posting their identities online will not change the planned action (or not) of the Nigerian government. |

GumGum:Catch up on the thread Mr by going back to where it all started and then coming forward. I am not your problem today. Fix your problem then we can discuss like sane people |
| Re: Coronavirus: Evacuating Nigerians In Wuhan, China, The Facts by trilobite: 11:28am On Feb 02, 2020 |
Blindersoff:Hold up, you need to present something to find out the total number of Nigerians in Wuhan?!! I'm sure you didn't realize the indictment in your statement. |
| Re: Coronavirus: Evacuating Nigerians In Wuhan, China, The Facts by GumGum: 11:29am On Feb 02, 2020 |
Blindersoff:All I have seen here is you trying hard to discredit the OP and make him look like a liar/attention seeker. Refrain from commenting if you have no positive input on their present condition. It is better than making yourself seem like a bully. |

trilobite: I have to ask you again and this time read, understand and then retort. Is your aim a rebuttal/confirmation from the embassy or to be assisted out of China because from the OP WuhanPerson his aim is to be evacuated. What is yours since you say you are also there? |

symbianDON:That school is not bad at all!! Currently has the highest Nigerian population so you will not be lost there. We still don't know what will happen with admission this year, but I expect Wuhan application numbers to be very low after this. Also don't know how the government will react or steps they will take as they recover from this. |

I don't particularly doubt your story but at least if you could put the allegations to rest, the discussion on this thread would become more reasonable |
