I grew up in Netherlands and have nothing but love for this country. This is one of the greatest civilizations ever built by visionary leaders. I feel sad anytime anytime I return to the homeland and see nothing has changed after each visit.
A country whose leaders since 1960 have turned it to corruption paradise for thieves to loot as they please and go scot-free.

The Dutch were in Nigeria in the 16th century I think, midwest region (not sure how, why or if they bypassed Lagos).

The best we can hope for is that this unholy matrimonial match of disparate and incongruent ethnic nationalities be disbanded and proclaimed null and void.

Cycling is the primary means of transportation when there is no snow on the ground. Even the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte occasionally cycles to work.
That is why the Dutch are so fit.

I highly doubt that the dutch were in nigeria. I believe British Portuguese and German and french were the only ones there

They are forward thinkers and plan 50 years ahead-that is why they were able to build one of the greatest human civilizations. You cannot fight against mother nature,but there are things you can do to minimize the impact and that is what they are currently doing by working on building a barricade.

Wrong stereotype about the Dutch. They believe every individual deserves fundamental human rights whether you are black,gay or transgender. The majority of the population choose to get married and are in heterosexual relationships.

Netherlands was built on Christian principles, it is only a few decades ago Christianity started to decline. There are Churches littered everywhere.

The Dutch in South Africa where different from the ones in the homeland. The opened the way for blacks and asians in the colonies they owned such as Suriname,Aruba,Indonesia to be able to migrate to Netherlands. There are about 500 thousand blacks who were able to migrate to the country.
If they hated blacks they will not have let in that vast number from their colonies.

The only countries working Africa that are on the path to reaching 2nd world and eventually 1st world status are: Botswana,Rwanda and Namibia. Is stating fact now hate and last I remember those three countries are all run by blacks.

Amsterdam Arena where I went to watch my first football game when Nigeria played Netherlands. Watched Kanu,Babangida,Okocha,Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink,Marc Overmars,Van der Sar,Seedorf,Edgar Davids,Pierre Van Hooijdonk and Patrick Kluivert in their prime that day when they thrashed us 5-1.

80% of the dutch government budget is derived from taxing shell and 60-80% of shells money is derived from untaxed nigerian oil and gas.

Nearly everything you're seeing in this thread is built it part with stolen money from Nigeria. If you want to see Nigeria under the dutch go to the Ogoni and Ijaw regions of the Niger Delta.

Shell has provided thousands of Nigerians with jobs and is one of the highest paying companies in the country.

They pay their tax to the government as stipulated by the tax code and do their part when it comes to Corporate Social Responsibility.
What else do you want them to do?Provide security,electricity,road network-when that is the responsibility of the governement.

I couldn't have read a more stupid comment. What rubbish victim mentality when you think everyone else is your problem. Whatever you think Shell takes from Nigeria, they do so because your stupid Nigerians collude with them and actually encourage them to steal. Without the active support of Nigerians, no company can do zilch. Do you think the Dutch will sit down and allow a foreign company come to Netherlands and fleece its citizens?
