it's not necessarily based on assumption.

There's two things to note here. When we're talking about displays esp in this Mi A3 vs RN8 case, we have

1. Display panel/type: IPS LCD vs AMOLED

2. Resolution (clarity of objects on the display): Full High Definition 1080P (LCD/RN8) vs HIgh definition 720P (Amoled/Mi A3)

it depends on what you like. Some people cannot downgrade from 1080P to 720P just because of amoled.

others prefer the design and sleekness of amoleds to full resolution.

It's simply a case of my apples to your oranges.

Try to see both sides of the debate here.

it is bro, how many people have done the comparison?
my opinion is not fact but it's based on what I saw and not what I read. I have both mi A3 and rn8.
we tend to forget we can only notice the pixel when your phone is held very close to your eyes. The amoled produce deeper and vibrant colours. all you need to do is hold both phones side by side.

Are you seriously saying a 720p display is better than a 1080p display? Even when it's obvious that mi a3 has a way lower ppi!

Do you know what happens when a 720p screen plays a 1080p video?

A 1080p display should never be compared to a 720p display, Amoled or not.

brother, display quality is beyond pixel per inch alone just as camera quality is beyond mega pixel alone.

don't rely too much on what you read, you can experiment yourself.

I don't know anything about Xiaomi phones again ooo been on OnePlus phones since September, just hoping the X30 pro comes with Super AMOLED.
Madgoat we missed you too, I'm sure you are still enjoying your Redmi 7.

Don't mind him, he doesn't know that higher resolution videos on his screen would look very similar to720p videos.

don't assume everyone doesn't know much, I have both phones am not speaking based on assumption.

Responsiveness to touch. The physical scanner is way faster and responds 9/10 times when touched.

one thing I know about change which is similar to new technology is that people tend to resist it and find minor excuses to do so. the in display finger print has the been best I have used. it ranks above others I have tried. it is as reliable as any other.

K30 Pro is most likely to come with Amoled from rumours.

Humblesmith is that guy that always disturb the peace and sanity of this thread. The one that caused the 12hours closure a while ago.

When K20 Pro came out it was above 150k so it should be in that region

It looks like Redmi 9 is coming with a quite powerful Mediatek Helio G70 and a 5,000mAh battery.

https://www.androidauthority.com/redmi-9-redmi-note-9-1079598/

With such a strong processor which is a massive upgrade over the SD439, I'm wondering what the RN9 is going to ship with. I can't wait for February 11th.

So the RN9 will also be announced Feb 11th

Good evening guys, it's been a while. I'm still managing my 2018 Xiaomi 5 plus (I'm not a heavy user). Please, I urgently need a phone technician in Lagos to replace my 5 plus cracked screen.

Quote me with the price and location.
