@opomulero or so. He sponsored his wife, she’s a home maker and used I think all of his documents. His posts should give you a bit of insight.
In the meantime, whats ur husband’s salary, whats ur salary and then his account balance at the time u intend to apply? It will help our judgement..
Sure u can reference ur husband’s application when filling your form. U will be asked if u re traveling with anyone in the form.. u should fill in his details here.
Pls also give a full itinerary of what u plan to be doin for evry day of ur travel. Ur husband will answer in his own form too.
For number 3. Whether he is co-sponsoring or fully sponsoring you will be given the visa once u can establish your ties ... all your assets will also help to cement your application but ur husband’s stuffs can be infront. Again pls check the poster I referenced at the top and @ or pm him.

Thanks so very much.

This is much clearer. I will search for his posts. Thank you for the insight.

You stated it’s just for a change of environment, be aware of HO doesn’t want visitors to make UK their second home.

Most convincing reason could be sickness or decided to wait for a important ceremony e.g wedding graduation child birth if there was any, not advising you to lie though but giving examples of considerate genuine reasons.

Well she stayed 5months of 6months visit visa, ECO could think if given 2yrs she could stay a yr and half, will advise she apply for 6months though, doesn’t really matter if 6months or 2yrs.

State in the application, well you understand her visa wasn’t renewed coz she stayed 5months instead of 3weeks intended stay, give genuine reason and back it up with you thought she could stay upto her visa validation. Also State your reasons on compassionate ground and tell them that now that you aware such long stay won’t happen again.

Also tell them her grandchildren missing her so much and it’s gonna be very hard difficult to take all the grandchildren to Nigeria to visit her due to....state your reason e.g finance, it’s convenient and cheaper for her to come than taking the children to her.

Good luck

Thank you.

Both of u should attach the following... employment letters, payslips, introduction letter from employers stating boldly how long u have been in employment with them, annual salary, position, if it’s paid and/or permitted leave, where you are going to and when you are expected to resume back at work for each person, covering letters and planned itineraries of everything you will do in the UK written efficiently, letter of sponsorship of wife issued by husband, 6 months statement of account for both, hotel bookings, provisional flight bookings, marriage certificate, children birth certificates, family pictures including kids, school fees receipts and term reports to show the kids are in school and will definitely return, childrens’ passports, copies of past visas and travel stamps 4all, copies of landed properties/cars/assets plus pictures if available, then any other documents you find on this thread that would be important.

I am applying for a new long term visa for my wife and my self and have a quick question.

Is there a separate section to include her application with mine as a joint application as a dependent as the only information requested so far was her passport information?

I remember I was able to do it on the old system but that was in 2014. I included it with my application at the end but I can't remember if it was before or after I paid the fee.

Thank you

As an update, I had to pay for assisted service as that is the only way the VAC could consolidate our applications.

I went in for Biometrics first and documents were scanned. Her documents were then also scanned and her application linked to mine as I was the sponsor. I submitted my Bank Statements in support of her application.

As it's been quite a while since I last applied, I didn't realise that the slots were now hot cakes...we both had to pay for a Flexi Appointment. This was in addition to paying to use the Premium Lounge...we were done by about 9:10am

Submitted applications on Wednesday 5th February with the 8am appointments and received passports back today Tuesday 11th February via courier grin

I submitted all my educational documents from birth certificate to my professional certificate, my sponsor's 6month statement of account and my mum's statement of account, my family pictures,my pictures were I was ministering in the church as a choirster,
My sponsor's letter of consent, my budget for the trip is taken by my two sponsor's and my passport data page.
Less I forget, this is my first time of applying for a visa
Congratulations
For your sponsor's bank statement especially the church sponsor, was there any need to explain any deposits made to it?

Hello everyone,

After a visa decision was overturned and you have resubmitted your passport. How long does it take for them to get back to you to come and collect your passport

Chai, all this plenty money for one visa. I don use brain calculate am, the money go they pursue almost 500k. I guess it's because you werent able to upload your documents your self and was just at their mercy.
What should have been done was to apply for both of you online, submit and even if you need self service, you walk in together, but I guess you needed the visa fast.

What I did during my time was to apply for I and my spouse, uploaded our documents, booked normal free appointment for same day and time and we walked in same time. Our passport still came out same time and visa granted and I spent less than 100k for both of us in all.

By letter of consent, do you mean the sponsorship letter given to you by your Pastor?

Try and be patient. There are some that have submitted since early December who have not got a reply till date. Just be patient, when they are done, they will get back to you.

Yes that was exactly what i did.....so all search light is on me.

Hi Opomulero,

Can you assist me with the template of the letter you used for sponsorship as well as if you have a cover letter template as well?

Is 1.5M reasonable enough to cover expenses of 2 adults and 2 children for 7 days in your opinion?

Flight (Round trip) x4 - 1,025,000.00
Accomodation - 150,569.00 (325)
Transportation - 47,500.00 (100)
Feeding x 7days - 142,500.00 (300)
Attractions - 95,000.00 (200)

Is the above good enough as itinerary?

Thank you for the reply. I just watched the video on TLS website, there are no free appointment time for now.I think it has been suspended .
8.00 which is primetime is the cheapest followed by Flexi.
I have opted for Flexi
And if there is anyone that has gotten free appointment booking as at Monday ( 10/02/2020) should dispute this.
I choose Ikeja as my centre
