About 10 unidentified Abuja-bound travellers from Ondo State were last week abducted by gunmen along Obajana-Abuja highway in Obajana, Kogi State.

A source said the owner of the commercial bus which the victims boarded, Mr. Abdulganiyu Hakeem said the vehicle took off from Akoko and was stopped by the bandits, who abducted the occupants.

Hakeem, who is member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ajowa Akoko, Akoko North-West Local Government Area of the state, said all the victims were still in the den of their abductors.

“The 10 passengers in the bus including the driver were kidnapped and were led to the bush very close to Obajana in Kogi State. One of the passengers is a student of law school in Abuja.”

“We were told that almost 30 passengers from other commercial vehicles were kidnapped at the same time last week, “Hakeem said.

According to Hakeem, the hoodlums had contacted the families of the victims demanding a sum of N200,000 for the driver and N100,000 for each of the remaining passengers before they would regain freedom.

When contacted, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Femi Joseph, said the incident did not take place in the jurisdiction of the Ondo State Police Command.

“Since it did not happen here in Ondo, the matter would have been reported at the Kogi State Command,” Joseph said.

Hmm... Going to Kogi, Abuja or anyother place up north requires a miracle.
It has never been this bad

call for our 380wh lithium-ion generator that could power your TV, laptop, and up to 4 lighting points for up to 10 hours daily.

This is really sad, and some northern ass holes are having migraine over Amotekun, the insecurity in the land is alarming.
But why do this guys kidnap soft targets, let them go for the big fish, people that control things, if they feel the pain of the common man, then they might understand.
Plus our clueless leaders and the useless kidnappers, just remember, we will all die one-day and termites and ant will feast on your remains.
Just Negodu.

What have we done to deserve this level of lawlessness and state of insecurity in this country? Everyone is now afraid to take a road trip, no one and nowhere is safe anymore.
Buhari has failed God and man in all levels of leadership indices

Which way now. Why pick on the wrong people who are equally feeling what you're feeling. If you must, why not go after the government, politicans who brought the hardship on you guys.

May God not allow any of us or our family members encounter such a horrible scenario, I think it's time for all of us to click on our brain reset button, pls what is the use of a government of they can't take full responsibility of the security situation of this country, How long will continue to hear their flimsy excuses, I think we all should demand for a Revolution, we cannot continue like this, I repeat we cannot continue like this, Buhari must step down or buckle up if he is not capable of doing his Job.
