people are happy bc people predicted doom that since treasurybill has gone. nothing good can come out of ucap except kaya
But it proved them wrong at least with good dividend
Nobody were expecting 50 k dividend from them .
A stock that was sold for less #2 not long ago paying 50k is worth celebrating and heart warming.

If he is waiting to collect 5m dividend from Ucap then village people must be on top of his case. the capital gain should be enough. 10m units appreciating by N2 is better for him. I am happy for those that waited to take their own portion of the goodies in the bearish market.

My candid advise for investors , always buy for investment purpose. Always buy stock with history of good dividend payment. Let no monkey hunters deceive you, see bear season as an opportunity to buy more. As you buy share monthly for investment, also save some to take advantage of bear season whenever it present itself.
Ucap has shown the dancing step, Zenith, UBA, Julius Berger will follow suit.

The FPIs are just looking for guarantees re. their carry trade activities incl. the sustainability of their OMO bills participation) and Meffy has given them a longer 5 year FX forwards contract to appease them. With this, just watch out for the rising yield in the FGN bonds (thought very low now) and that to me, is the headwind for the stock markets, not imminent devaluation.... Once the yield is back in double digit, wahala dey for stock mkts!

i dont think d rate wld be back in double digit (cos d old regime of double digit was clearly not sustainable) although all said the current regime of low single digits is also not sustainable. u can look at eurobond for guidance but me think mid -- long term it wld be back on in upper single digit which shld not be too bad for the bourse. However Egypt cld be a spoiler here cos they are d direct competitor for that sphere and how they play determine how Meffy wld play except he has Oil in his wind.

The known Unknown is Global as per the Recession Onifa was trying to call attention to and that is my major fear because it is increasingly looking as the last & only remaining card that cld help stop the disruptor in chief. Hw far capitalism is willing to play that card is what i cant say at today

Nah, just waiting for the capital appreciation that will follow to bail out of this market. This stress is too much.

With the result and dividend declared, Ucap is giving dividend yield of 17% at current price. This is super! it's even better for those who entered and settle down inside the ucap bus earlier than now.

The company is now in an era where they can always afford to pay out about 75% of their PAT because of the revised excess dividend tax law. As long as they do well and sustain the profit at N4/5b, shareholders will be fine.

Sometimes some comment trigger fear
Last year somebody said vitafoam truck is at the border that border closure will affect them.
BC of that l sold my vitafoam at loss
BT result came out good with good div.
Last week somebody SD people think united capital Wii pay 30k div
Me thinking the person saw the result l sold bc l don't want to carry last.

Not blaming anybody but nicely put ur thought not to mean u are so sure
I do my homework well but sometimes l still fall
Do not blame yourself or lament too much if your portfolio is as small as mine.
