One fun incident from my secondary school days.

On two continous assesment tests for a certain subject, I used my full name, and then my first name and surname for one subject. The teacher spotted that and called me and said that I should use just one set of names for all tests from now on, otherwise it could become a habit to the point that I would be having different names on my documents in future...

I suspect that's what happened to the Bayelsa APC deputy governor candidate. I believe all those coeritifcates of his are genuine. The problem is he kept on 'changing his name' or using different spellings of his name, or irregular spellings of his name in between schools. He should have stuck with the name he used in primary school onward.or the one he used in writing WAEC.

When seeing what the man is going through, I feel like hunting down that old secondary school teacher of mine and thanking him for some really good advice.

P.S The affidavit he filed only made matters worse IMHO...affidavits in Nigeria have been so bastardised that people filing them for legal and legitimate purposes look bad by comparison. Affidavit must have been something of a red rag to the Supremes.
My brother, the same thing happened with me o! I dey form guy man doz days for secondary school, I use Alfred for one exam com use Ochuko for another one. The luck wey I get be say I be urhobo man halfway. When I do clearance for uni, na the four names combine the clearance officer use call me grin but e tell me say the school go choose the name wey dem go call me and I go begin use that name throughout my life. Omo na so the school cancel Ochuko comot o! Na so I dey use my name since. I still do affidavit wey old well well for that long paper wey dey whitish brown abi brownish white o! The affidavit na just one year after the certificate, so dem go believe me. I sure say na recently dis man do that affidavit. Ijaw name dey hard to pronounce, even to write sef and as na hausa and Yoruba ppl full waec and jamb, na bend dem go jus bend the man name grin grin grin grin

I believed the man didn't forged his certificates but he found fun in changing his names. I did that when I was in primary school with stylish spelling until my headmaster told me I should get affidavit.
The court should have subjected the names into forensic screening. I see political undertones from the harsh judgement

He caused his own problems with his multiple names. .I remember being turned back at EKSU PG school to get an affidavit just because my Waec results had my middle name before my first name while my other documents had the same pattern....I got angry that day because I just wanted to finish up and go but they explained to me that I needed to be consistent with my name...Simple things are seen to be stressful sometimes but this dude went too far...

Dude stop comparing rearrangement of names to totally different names with different spellings. The deputy knows exactly how he got his "toronto" certificates

The deputy governor post isn't his first public office in Nigeria.
Mary Odili is a corrupt and influential judge and she's d only reason Wike is still humble to Peter Odili d former governor till today. A lot of judgement have been brokered from clients -wike-Mr Odili -Mrs Odili in this country.
Why do you think governors like Fayemi, Fayose, even Atiku etc paid courtesy visit to Wike at a time of their court cases.Dont u know Ikedii Ihedioha of Imo was fighting with Wike at a time.

It's high time EFCc dig up d file of this woman.Though many APC beneficiaries of her fraudulent judgements will kick.

Remove Mrs Odili and Wike will become an ordinary governor cos Nigerian judgements are brokered in the capital city of Rivers.

Most Nigerians don't just read between d lines. We fall for cheap blackmail.

Park well, jare. There's nothing unusual with preparing a speech beforehand, so that doesn't mean anything.

Personally I think the judgement was unfair, especially since there's no concrete evidence yet that he actually forged, or used other people's certificates. Everyone is just speculating.

In Primary School....probably 10-12 years old. Can you do that now?

....Compared to a man who even has an MBA and even went on changing names after BA?

Have you read the full judgement?
Have you asked why he did two affidavits in approximately one month? Precisely, on the 9th of August and 18th of September 2018 before another Notary institution which he refused to name?

Same thing almost happened to me. My teacher in Junior Secondary told me to use the name I used in primary school.

Sometimes I write "EMEKA" and other times "CHUKWUEMEKA"

I have an affidavit shaa and the NPC certificate

Oga let me gist you the latest, if you are applying for a student visa abroad especially in the UK, the inconsistencies in your names has already denied you the visa. They will tell you that Degi and Adegi are not the same

I blame both APC & INEC for not detecting the irregularity during their so called thorough screening.

Had that issue too. They told me "EMEKA" and "CHUKWUEMEKA" are not same person.

But I swore an affidavit since Secondary School which I always attach to all my documents.
