There's no hard n fast rule in a home where love exists. N when u get married, you might actually be surprised by how much slack you cut your wife. Just imagine a pregnant wife taking care of kids, u might be so awed by her cooking, the other stuff dont count.

CrazyMan:

There is more to marriage than who clears up the dishes. When you genuinely love someone all these irrelevant things would mean nothing. Cos there are more serious and pressing issues that needs attention in the home than dishes.

And yes most great girlfriends make terrible wives....and for the record, I'm not married.

May your days be long on Earth.
Some of these ladies have absolute nothing to offer except their smelly pvssy.
They are quick to assert that it is modern life. Look at where modernity has brought marriages to.
Every day in court, you will count cases of divorce. Just because some women refused to act as one and some idiotic men think its modernity.
men like you are the ones that use there hands to end their marriage see how you talk about a woman like she is a lesser creature than you. You yourselve what do you have to offer if you dont know most of this women are the ones to help you in life and uplift you and support you in every single fucking thing.I just hope your own marriage will last with the nonsense you speak and yet you are educated what a world of fools feeling like gods when they are just boys running from life

I wonder oh. Most Nigerian men don’t even earn up to 300k per month, yet they want somebody’s daughter to kneel and serve them food. Are you an adequate husband bringing chicken change home to provide for the family? Yet you expect royal standard service from your wife, because you are the King of the palace abi?. Somebody that will still contribute money to the home because hubby is complaining that he is under too much financial stress. Abegiii

Will you shut your dir ty mouth.
All this plenty talk because you make 80k Per month.

Dont go and improve your life and finances.
Be looking for a maid you cannot adequately care for.
I pity the woman with you because i know she will always be in complete lack.

You’re not married so please stfu and allow those who are married to contribute sensibly. It’s always those who are not married that think they know it all, but once they enter, they become so humble. Nonsense

What's eating you up...11pm you're still on social media typing about marriage... obviously your home is worse than the Nigerian economy.

Quit being a nusiance to yourself by trolling this thread like a dog on heat and go and submit yourself to your husband... typing here won't end the frustration you're facing in your home.

If he volunteers no problem... I will always sit with my husband whenever he eats, would feed him water, and definitely pack his plates; willingly and gladly...

If I may ask whats your job as a wife?

Most conflicts in marriages today arise because most of you dumb females don't even know your role as a wife. You just want a husband that's all and have nothing to offer to him aside from spreading your legs for sex and popping out babies.

When a man spends 30days struggling to earn a living in order to give you a better life, you see it as his responsibility. He leaves the home very early and ensures that enough finance is made available for the home.

Then comes back exhausted and finishes his food and you expect him to clear the plates. If you can't keep him company while he eats and prefer to play the role of a restaurant waiter then you must play it to the fullest by clearing the table when he's done. That's your own responsibility.

Your ideology is based on the fact that he married a housewife nah. If he married someone as busy as he is in terms of working and earning money, he better have a maid to be removing his plate after eating or else, he will die there. Oga, stop being a chauvinist. Complement your wife whenever possible. Marriage works better as a teamwork.

NB: my dad cooks, cleans and serves himself food. He's meticulous about cleaning, more than myself. Sometimes, he arrives from work earlier than my mom (especially days she has to go to market to do her business) and chop clean mouth hours before anybody is home. When my mom went for omugwo and he was the only one at home (because we all were living in school), he feed himself for that period without complain. My mom didn't have to worry cause she knew oga na correct guy.

I think in my own opinion it has to do with who is the breadwinner.I cant be waking up by 5am, rush to work, come back by 7pm and I will still go n warm food, dish my food n wash my plates after eating when my wife is at home, except on occasions when she is pregnant, sick, tired or I have enough strength. As for me I, there are certain things I can't do. Roles should be spelt out. My wife cannot go and on gen, she can't go n fill gas, she can't pay some bills like my childrens school fees, house rent, electricity bills etc The moment a woman starts doing all these and a man starts washing plates everyday n cooking, just know there is no man in the house.

Have you heard about spouses complementing each other? That's what makes marriage work. It's not about the breadwinner.

See this scenario: I on gen in my house, I fill gas. Though I cook and clean, (but I know my parents share the cooking and cleaning in the house when its just them at home) and I learnt that from them, so, invariably, I expect such from my spouse. House rent and children's school fees maybe similar to paying for your own utility bills as a single person. Based on your comment, what then will my husband now be doing?

But I also understand he'd like to be in charge of most if not all of these things, so I'll let him do it, hoping he'd have my back in other areas. Like serving himself food occasionally.

To the Op, the issue isn't whether it's right or wrong. Marriage shouldn't be a war between the sexes. People should learn to achieve balance in every point instead of claiming rights on every issue. I've tok my own.

Who told you that all girlfriends wash, cook and do chores for their boyfriends? Bulllshit, if the side chick is that good as you have mentioned, then I wonder why the man did not marry her and leave his wife to find a better husband for herself. The way you cheats praise infidelity.
CrazyMan:

Have you ever been to Benin republic, you're here saying advance country.

For your information, in the so called advanced country which I myself have been opportuned to visit their women cook and serve their husbands.

In areas where the wife is a career woman, she hires a nanny/cook and pays her from her own purse. Cos she knows it's her responsibility.

The problem with you girls is that you're much better as girlfriends than wifes. A girlfriend would wash her guys clothes, cook for him, keep him company...etc. but the moment he upgrades her to a wife it becomes a tug of war who does what and who doesn't do what.

Do you know why many men cheat on their wives it's because their side chick knows the role the wife is supposed to play and is fully aware that she's (the wife) isn't playing it. So she capitalizes on that error, illfitrates the home and wins the husband over to her side.

So please spare me the crap of advance country bullshit. If you're not ready to be a wife to a man you married, the be prepared to share him with someone who's ready to give him what you're too arrogant to offer.

Shut the fvck up dude.

When you marry someone half your age without any viable means of supporting themselves this is the kind of stuff you spit out. Also when you get yourself tied to women who only offer you sex you will be forced to reason this way.

I have realized that most men marry girls that they are way older than because they are searching for maids and sex trophy not wife. They look for beauty and girls that dish out sex at will without checking if they have anything upstairs and can support themselves.

They run away from girls with independent mindset, high intellectual acumen, women that has high reasoning abilities /intelligence and women that can support and bring more to the table than sex. Because they want to feel like gods.
Men who do this, do not wish to be challenged intellectually in their homes rather they prefer to wallow in their overinflated ego but when chips are down and their egos are wounded because their trophy wife is no longer massaging those blasted egos , they go about writing trash about women.

It is absolutely wrong, Sir.

He should actually kick the plate into the sink, wash it, and properly kick back into the plate rack.

Or, in order to avoid injury on his toes, I think he should kuku back the plate with a very strong wrapper to the kitchen!

I dont like to interfere with this issues however I love what you said. I am not from the south as I am a yoruba person and my wife and I are like you.

I cook on sundays after training my wife and kids(Sunday workouts) then I dont see a big deal in taking my dish to kitchen after eating. I carry mine, the kids carry theirs so is my wife and house help. No big issue in it except any man sees it that way. If a man should see it that way, it shouldn't be a problem. Your wife would notice this and do the needful.

As long as she served the meal wearing sexy lingeries with her nippless standing firm and upright with her red pant showing vividly coupled with a seductive smile, I'll even wash the plate after eating.
You can't serve me meal wearing tear-tear wrapper smelling fish fish and expect me to carry my plate to the kitchen after eating.

My dear far from it...my two kids aged 4 and 2yrs old pack and washes their plates after eating...pick the crumbs, then mop the tiles.

Like I earlier said ...it's just simple home training and understanding.
I can also tell you that ..even if I travel for 5 yes I wud always come back to meet a super clean home.

Maybe I just got lucky....!!!
