Thank you for giving us your time(reply from FBN below and a copy of the letter we wrote to the Nigeria Stock Exchange)

The video showing our real faces and contacts are below.
We are not anonymous and the FIRST Bank official we mentioned in the video,Mrs Folake Ani-Mumuney , is still alive and working in FBN yet we are struggling to pay our own bills.

Please follow our campaign on Twitter https://mobile.twitter.com/xtremecr8?lang=en

Who we are:
We are xtremecr8tivity.An indigenous small sized Nigerian company.

What we do:

Our True Passion. We are experts in creativity, our true passion lies in using the brightest ideas to strategically connect brands.

Our Plea:
That first bank pays us our bill for creating their 125th Anniversary logo. We are a small brand, don't have the deep pocket financial resources for court cases that takes so much money and years to conclude. After they pay us for this job, we will think twice before creating IP works for First Bank.

Our Campaign:
We beg and solicit for your support to help us beg the big brand First Bank to pay us. We call first bank out over its insistence not to pay us for their 125th Anniversary logo we designed.
@First Bank breached our Intellectual property rights and wants to get away with it.

Using a 125 years anniversary logo we designed and refusing to pay us is not the best way to celebrate.

Background is explained in the video and newspaper report below:

We worked hard to create the logo and when it was time to pay us, instead of paying us or referring us to accounts unit to discuss our bill, they refered us to their legal unit.Yes, we know we don't have money for 15 years case. We are small brand. And we hope other small brands will learn from our experience with big brand First Bank.

So this woman called Ani Mumuney hasnt stopped all this hanky panky behaviour , that's how she mad us waste resources in developing a third party business model for her department and after draining us intellectually and financially she took the finished model and handed it over to another firm and even gave the 500 thousand US dollars to implement the idea whereas my firm would have don the implementation for absolutely free whilst recovering our investments from sale of the solution to third parties but this woman and her cartel backstabbed us and handed my 100% original creation to another company where she obviously had interest ..But God being on my side they company failed to deliver and the project now moribound while I have made a ton of money deploying the solution with 3 other Banks who supported us and didn't back stab us ..

If we don't all come together to lend hands and call this type of evil out, it's bound to repeat itself and many will be victims. Why would people labor to help an organization have the best of celebration. The organization now came back to stab them in the back by not paying for their logo. Most especially an organization that claim to help startups to grow now end up killing startups(wonder shall never end in Naija). It is obvious this is not their first time. This woman's action is treacherous and she should be called out and reported.

Nawa o, going by another comment here the Ani Mumuney is notorious for this behaviour. I remember sometime last year I had an SBLC and needed some discounting service of 20-30% to meet up. This same wonderful bank refused to help saying it was my first deal. They watched that business nearly go bankrupt because I'm not a big fish. With God on my side, I was able to discou t the same SBLC from another country. Nigerian banks in general are just financial traps.

They are still using the same logo we designed(screenshot of their Twitter page and picture of their MD, Dr. Adeduntan presenting a package, carrying the 125th FBN logo we designed,to Senator Alasoadua are shown below).
We have not being paid yet she Mrs Folake Ani-Mumuney sent us to their legal unit.
Every email we send and even enquiry from Mrs Folake Ani-Mumuney by everyone we sought their help to intervene, she kept referring us to the legal unit(screenshot of her email reply)
Meanwhile, we can't pay our own bills.
Please help us tweet at them to beg them to pay us.
We are a small brand and admit that we can't match their kind of resources in Nigeria's legal system. We hardly pay our own overheads let alone paying for protracted legal case in Nigerian courts.
We just want to get paid for designing their 125th Anniversary logo. Nothing more, nothing less. We are ready to meet with their account unit not legal because we don't have business with their legal unit.

We are still as clueless on this as you.
We honestly don't know and that was why we had to send emissaries. We suspect it is the same way others may have been treated. You create, instead of paying, you are refered to legal unit so you back off since we can't match their kind of legal infrastructure.
We have maintained that we don't want that route. In fact, this option is our way to get help for them to pay us. Not an attempt to smear them. Our focus is pay us for the logo we designed and you are using for your big brand First Bank.

With the kind of behaviour you're describing, I'm sure the woman will never budge. Organise a peaceful protest or look for N10-N15k and get a SAN to send a demand notice to them. Be ready to sue, begging and crying that you don't have money will get you no result. It is a shame a company as big as FBN still engages in such nonsense.

Go to the court if you are sure of all you claim and there is no Question mark in your agreement with them (which they can manipulate).

Someone was just awarded 5million naira against Mtn notwitstanding the legal infrastructure you are scared of.

"Won" is not the same as paid. We don't even want to 'win' because that would mean they lost. We just want to be paid for our intellectual property. Nothing more.

I don't blame her, I blame the company and other companies drained by her.

Most of the companies complaining aren't professional, you don't do business without contract, also you must also put in the contract, the penalty for breaking the contract.

They should stop complaining and start acting responsible.. People will take advantage of you when you don't have contract.

This is a lesson to the party involved

Act professionally
Always have contract in place for any stuff you are doing with another business.

Thank you sir. We actually did after much persuation by others who feel we are being taken for a ride and incurred avoidable cost in this regard but we have never hidden our desire not to take the legal route at least to await the outcome of parties we had sent to them to find out. Even this route is already a constraint on us as small company and brand.
We just want to get paid for designing that logo. Foreign brands won't treat their indigenous brands like this.Even if they don't want to recognise our contribution officially, they should just pay us.

i will like to ask you

why didnt you have a contract in place before dealing with them?

This should be a lesson for you, before dealing with any business, prepare your contract and write down penalties for breaking contract, that is how they do business

what evidence do you have that she used your work except the design you did

If First Bank can be doing this with intellectual property, you can only imagine how they would be defrauding depositors and stealing their money.

A lot staff of first bank are hardcore criminals. They are the ones who supply info to bank robbers and that is why 90% of robberies today are at First Bank branches. Go and type bank robbery on Nairaland search bar or anywhere and see the bank involved. It is usually First Bank.

Anyway, on Monday, I'll move my business accounts out of First bank. I can't allow these thieves ruin my years of sweat with their sticky fingers. Will forward this thread to my associates. Thieves are in charge of First bank now.

@xtremec8, why don't you reach the Legal Department as directed? It may be as simple as they wanting to draft a more robust contract before paying or asking for you to sign over rights to the design, NDAs etc. The more I think about it, the more appropriate the request seems, to be fair.

P.S. The (wicked/vindictive) nigerian in the Director will make her act in this aloof manner when she could easily explain things to you. No surprises there.

I don't even know where to begin with, are you claiming the contract was informal or there are no legal modalities to the duties and responsibilities of the parties. We should be hearing of this disagreement from the court's media or some other places.

Thank you sir. We realised it was a ploy to intimidate and delay our payment because we found it strange why they would be using the logo and then send us to legal. If it was in good faith, the use of our design should have been on hold until we finish with their legal. Using our IP and sending us to legal because we demanded for our bill while they are using our design is completely strange and unjust if you look at it closely. Besides, at no time did we raise any dispute so. We gave our best and didn't see this coming at all. Like we said, everyone should learn from our bad experience with FIRST Bank.
