NiCurious:The solution is simple LASG has money. The north has land. Sign some deals spend some cash and lease land for 100 years just like Guantanamo bay and so when LASG moved destitutes there then legally they are still in LASG jurisdiction . There they can build prisons, rehabilitation centres, education and training facilities farms cooperatives etc Other states in the south should jey into that. REVERSE RUGA 1 Like |

Good one governor, you are really doing a great job. We are tired of leaving like animals in the name of some people looking for their daily bread. If you have to sell anything on the road go to your village. |

NiCurious:Prison is serious business in California. States like Lagos, Rivers,Delta Akwa Ibom should go there. That is more productive and profitable than the Kaduna Abuja Rail. If we must build rails let prisons provide Labor |

Timi141:Well now we are talking like this, what sites did the govt of the day dedicate for these so-called licences to be obtained against/? would it not be good practice to create this space in the 1st instance and then move them? this is insane if U ask me, what do you now want these poor people to do right about now? this is all they have got!govt is meant to serve the people not the people to serve the govt |

free2ryhme: What has that got to do with my Message? If America Government is going to do the same thing is this how they will do it? Wake up and go and dislodge citizens the way they do it here? Without plans Without warnings / inadequate warnings And with the sole aim of stealing from them....Because what they do is to seize from this poor traders and share their wears among themselves.... |

wellmax: Thank you dear. But note that there is nothing like jamb common entrance. It's "jamb". For your information, what you saw there was deliberate. If only we can just learn to mind our business, it would've bin better for us all. Av you ever tried to put ur self in the shoes of those poor traders? Many are the breadwinners of their family. Now you av gone to displaced them. What alternative has the government put in place for them? Na my mouth you wan for hear eye & order ba? Am coming |

NiCurious: No, he wrote that 'alternatives' should be provided for those people before chasing them. I believed I interpreted his sentences correctly. However, your write-up was more sane and reasonable. This how it supposed to be from inception. However, Nigeria is such a place where we don't have ethics and we are so corrupt that everyone is a partaker one way or the other and everyone wants to be seen as a saint. We support illegality all the time and expect things to work out miraculously. |

Tapout: Everywhere in Lagos is in a mess....I live and work here so I know how they go about with their so-called law enforcement without human face....And if the citizens are lawless who is to blame? The observers of the law or the makers/enforcers? - Who abides by our laws in this country? from your President down to the councillors and other appointees who abide by our Laws? |

RuddyFusion:This is Lagos State Government not Nigerian government. What you are describing is responsibility of Nigerian government. Lagos state government ONLY ONE out of 36 states. It doesn't get the highest allocation. Yet 10 % of Nigerians live there? THAT is the issue 10 % of Nigerians did not live there when it was capital 30 years ago. Now tha Tinubu and Fashola have transformed Lagos everyone is trooping down. This is a political and restructuring issue. Lagos state is not entitled to derivation on VAT at all. VAT HAS INCREASED by 50 % and 55 % of VAT Is from Lagosians. Those paying the most VAT are not these under bridge folk If the rest of the country wants Lagos to carry it then you must pay. Allow Lagos state to keep money generated there. It doesn't need any oil money. Otherwise go back to Abuja VAT alone can sustain Lagos if these guys go back 2 Likes |

Giving human face to illegality is a means to encourage more irresponsability and engender greater anomie. Always aspire to encourage the govt to do what is right rather than quarreling with them for not Padding trespassers. RuddyFusion: 2 Likes |

square7:The fact is Lagos is seeking to be a World class city. Yes it is Nigeria but it is VERY SMALL. Less than 3% of Nigeria in size with more than 10 % population It is overwhelmed and there has to be pushback. A plea for Special status was shunned. . |

RuddyFusion: So what should have been done? Leave them to hawk along the road. Did you think about there safety? Okay, you want the government to give them free stalls and compensate them for trading in a prohibited place. Where is it done? Una Sha go won talk. |

erico2k2:Truth be told, lagos is overpopulated with all kind of people and things, the poor never reduces, Every now and then thousands are flocking in every time, how many people can you cater for. You can't help other 35 state do their job. A time would come you have to take drastic decision and practically chase out some relocators back to their village. The rate of road blockage and traffic is overwhelming. Let Other state do their own job. |

RuddyFusion: You never run out of Idiotic questions. You think others would tolerate the nonsense you guys do in your backwards states? You are from Igboland. Have you ever held the SE Governors responsible for the mess that states like Abia have become? No. You prefer to jump into Lagos affairs, meanwhile your state is decrepit. |
