Well left for me I just feel your statement sound fishy?Because I actually called the Vietnam embassy in Abuja what ever visa you want to apply for comes from Vietnam embassy,if the so called agents I found online still referred me back to the consulate in my country that they don’t help Nigerians with visa.Dont leave people hanging by saying everyone should you google what you searched might not be what another person searched for, once a Nigerian travels its always so difficult to either help or give full details, that’s what countries don’t trust us,even we ourself don’t trust ourself.its better you tell us your adventure than to give us half story, cost of your visa u ignored the message, the agent that you used u ignored answering people and you were the one that said there are lot of scammers out there.your concern should be people not falling into the wrong hands.I mean no harm or to criticize anyone just saying the fact.other threads I see they give u details even the site you will go.
WhyNa:

If you read through the thread, you would have actually seen that I mentioned these things and no, everyone doesn't need to do the exam same thing I did. Gosh! What works for A in January might not work for B in February!//

See I don't know it all. Nothing is permanent and if there's one thing about Vietnam, they pass laws on a steady. People should do some research on their own too and I bet you, they'll find things even I didn't find.

If I had waited for the guy who talked about Vietnam and refused to help me, I would still be in Nigeria today eating into my savings and reading travel threads hoping for someone to spoon feed me.

This trend is informative and I really commend @whyna efforts. I will just like if you can find out more about life of foreigners over there. Chances of doing work and study. Jobs for surviving.

like she has said, take time to do your own research concerning japa. It'll really do you good... Sincerely speaking, I've been motivated by her post to do my own personal research about other countries. At the end, I was overwhelmed with loads of information. I urge everyone who is interested in this quest to create time to make research in their area of interest, rather than waiting for those that I have traveled to feed them.. Each country's policies change from time to time, what you know yesterday might be different from what is currently happening. During the period this thread was created I've come across different opportunities. I've read on Nigeria embassy's page of a developed country offering scholarships to foreigners including Nigerians to learn their language but unfortunately the offer ended on Feb 14th...To cut the story short, we have a lot to gain and to teach others by making our own research.

nigerian dont help themselves,i mean what will it cost you to tell people how much you spent,so they can be prepared.i know that deep down in her heart, the reason why she chose not to help is because 'one iyke guy did not help her',like seriously?how are you different from that iyke guy.this mentality has to change, yet you people will blame the FG all the time,is it not people who create and started a scholarship thread that people are benefiting and still benefiting from.

A lot of people have been sending me mails, asking me how to come here. There are several packages available...

You can come here on a 3 months visa

You can come on a 3 months visa, job offer, flight ticket.

You can come on a football visa, flight ticket, airport pickup and accommodation

You can come on a one year visa, 2 years work permit, TEFL, flight tickets, airport pickup and 2 nights accommodation.

They all have their advantages and disadvantages. Just be wise and careful to avoid stories that make water come out of the eye. I can't overemphasize this!

Disclaimer: I don't work with anyone here and nobody here helped me get the visa or anything to avoid anyone mailing you with or in my name. Biko.

How do one go about this visa category?

Well..like I do tell pple..The read and know abt vietnam well, but what pple want to hear is if they can reach there and get money sharply..now lemme start by breaking things down..
Firstly, to enter Vietnam, u must av a sponsor..The sponsor is the school or organization that is bringing u in...and the visa code comes from Vietnam. And when ur visa expires with the sponsor..u are on ur own ooo, and in Vietnam overstaying is allowed buh u won't want to try it..cos as at 2013 for each day of overstaying u pay a fine of 100$ so calculate 10days that's 1k$..but I believe it's beta now
Secondly, on Study matters, most schools u can study with are affiliated school..Iike UK, Australian schools in the country cos of language..
Thirdly, working whc is the most crucial aspect everyone wanna hear...i will start from years back with my own experience. Wayback 2012 wen we are there, work is not that easy to get cos the govt policy didn't really favour us as Nigerians due to the bad things blacks/nigerians are doing those tym..drugs and others..even with that Vietnamese pple are friendly, they wanna learn English, some of them as friends opened english learning centers and pple teach and earn.. That time I told myself if they put 1500$ per month in Vietnam and Yankee 2k$ monthly I will choose vietnam..why because of the standard of living, now bringing us to the very moment in Vietnam, I know Vietnamese govt bring different kind of policies but I know the place is better now in terms of Nigerians doing well over there..am an agent of the same school I finished with, who from 2013 till 2018 av recruited like 8 students to the school..I know you pple will want to know abt it but I didn't mention abt it cos av not renew my contract with the school for the year 2020..been kind of busy..but when that is done I will av beta information for anyone that want.

Boss just to correct this, your visa can actually be renewed via the same agent, a new agent or your current sponsor (employee). You're right about the overstaying fine

Thanks for your update. It so helpful. The most important is ability to work while study and esp during holidays to make some cash.
I look at vietnam as a steeping stone after studies to other countries of choice other than sitting down wasting time.

It's been a while I updated.

Honestly, it was partly due to some things I read here. Y'all have to understand that I'm not being paid for this and I take my time to write and snap pictures when I go out just so I can share with people back home or around. I have never lied about anything here. Instead I give information exactly as experienced.

To the lady who said my statement sounds fishy, I hope you are able to come back here after you go to the Embassy and you're sent away because you don't have a visa approval letter from Vietnam. I repeat again, Visas come from Vietnam. Please when you read, try not to skip any page because I gave step by step explanation of the process I took with explanation and reasons.

To the guy who said I need a large dose of humility, I'm sorry if I offended you but am I wrong for speaking the truth? For saying I don't know it all and people should do some research cos I may have missed some things during my own research?

Anyways, back to my update....

Schools are still closed as you must have seen in the news. I must really commend the Vietnamese government, those guys are doing a great job I swear. People have resorted to teaching online or one on one including me

Asides my bike lessons, I'm also picking up and learning some basic words in Vietnamese and making new friends and trying out new foods.

About the food, so far, out of about 10 or so different dishes I've tried, it's only one I didn't like. Enjoy......
