That's one of the disadvantages of banking stocks, the moneybags and deep pockets are concentrated there.
When the market is down, this is the kind of result we'll be seeing from the sector.
Think people should try to stay on the safe side for now.....

NSE ALLSHARE INDEX UPDATE FOR OPENING OF BUSINESS 12 MARCH 2020

Loss for the week: -10.30%
Loss for the Month: -10.08%
Loss for the Qtr: -12.18%
Loss for the year: -12.18%

Let us not be carried away by the noise of any bull coming into the market. The market is in serious trouble (at least for this week). The bearish trend is fully on. We want to see what measures/policies the Government will put in place to protect our economy. An example may be the need to consider the border closure (we need the co-operation of other Counties in the region at a time like this) , it is now affecting exports of some of our Manufacturers, we wait and see.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). Oga Mendes911 are we sure something is not wrong with Zenith in particular?
You know you expressed your reservation about it the other time.

My Zenith bid for 10.85 already filled.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Godisfaithful: 10:08am On Mar 12, 2020
My little advice to new traders/investors: DON’T trade your hard earned money on stocks with EMOTIONS, it might destroy your portfolios. Some people here have deep pockets and have many source of income, don’t compare yourself to them. Focus on facts not hope, stick to what work best for you, and read the news. Wishing you all the best of the moment...Peace

Fundamentally, I doubt. Just that they have closed their book for FY dividends and nothing enticing for now.

Sister, two levels of risk. External and Internal risks to this market. External risk is what all of them are contending with now.
It happens, this is not restricted to Nigeria only. Stock can go down to never immaginable level. For those that have cash or could hold through, better for them. It is actual time for wealth transfer. For me JIJO would not work. It is time for those that understand to study some history. grin

Zenith Bank has done almost 1billion Naira in 15minutes. Investors are ready for this stock. PFA Vs FPI. Who blinks first? Meanwhile, offers are just moderate on GTB.

When to start buying is not far from reachable but at the moment it is blood everywhere. Even the street is not smiling. You remember I told you PUTS options is the best bet for now. When Zenith reach 9, I guess I will start buying...and bail out when the whole forum get flooded again with everyday bullish conversations... grin

Buy small small.

I am overjoyed now.

16 years ago price now in my portfolio. Tomorrow, let them come out at 9.60.

Next week, let the come till it reaches N5.

I am close to the floor.

If Zee trades at N1, that means UBA will be 1kobo. grin grin

Christmas is here!!!!

You are absolutely right. There’s high chance Zee might fall around 9 but the end is very near. Anyway PUTS is working wonders at the moment. Bears and Bulls makes money, only the pigs get slaughtered

And to think that some people bought Zenith at N22. I hope we are all OK.

To those I earlier sold my Zenith to, forgive and forget. Don't go and swear for me.

I withnessed the last market crash of 2016 and Zenith rebounded from around 8.80 and doubled within same year. There is hope.

Let me go and cherry pick. This one na to close eye and just click BUY. No FA or TA needed at this point.

The same volumes you saw yesterday will be traded today and friday. You can't see DY of over 25% and run.

Supply has met demand.

Buy small small.

This is the hedge against devaluation.

If you devalue from 360 to 400. This is just 10% devaluation.

But DY alone is over 25%.

Hope you now see how I hunt for Dividends? grin tongue
